Ivar the Foul

Kill Ivar the Foul, and bring Ivar's Head to Rane Yorick at the Ivar Patch.
Ivar's Head

Description

My brother Quinn and I were tasked to recon Silverpine Forest and report to High Executor Hadrec. But we didn't get far -- when moving through this farm we were attacked by the ghoul Ivar the Foul.

We escaped from Ivar, but he seriously mauled Quinn. He's healing from the potion you gave him, but Ivar may return before Quinn recovers.

Kill Ivar so Quinn will have time to heal. Ivar is usually in the barn yonder, waiting for my guard to drop.

I have done this particular quest 4 times with different alts.&nbsp The easyest was a rogue and the hardest was my Mage (which was my first time through it)&nbsp But even then at lvl 12 it was not too hard.&nbsp Just remember to go slow, and don't go around the first corner once inside till the pat comes by.&nbsp That should pull all the mobs from inside except Ivar.&nbsp Then you just have to know your class well enough to know how to kill a mob and not die....just be carefull with the aoe's those can sometimes cause more problems than they solve..

Just did it with a 13 priest... you can pull it off without dying if you're careful. I just focused my attacking on him only and was able to loot and escape within an inch of my life. Make sure you clear the area well enough.

Just did it with a lvl 15 warrior solo. Coor. are correct. Clear the area and then concentrate on him before his little guard. You should be fine!

Pretty easy quest, just run over to the barn and kill him, the only trouble is that he has a couple helpers, but it can still be done if you're sly about it.

This is a rather tricky quest due to the tightly packed mob surrounding Ivor. I barely scratched by with a lv 14 mage. Might be a good idea to have party of three or more if you want to complete this safely.

soloed as a 14 lock, almost died, and my voidwalker almost died but i managed to get it on my first try. just clear out the area, then throw DOTs on both ivar and his guard, then let the VW tank, and funnel health into the VW.&nbsp not easy, but not hard, either

Ivar does indeed have a long respawn time. The mobs in the area however, don't. Just managed as a lvl 14 Mage, cleared the area, sheeped the guardian, ran outside and found that the two mobs out front had respawned. Spamming arcane explosion helps though.

just did this as my 11 lock. it was easy as long as you made sure you 1. cleared the area out front, and 2 drew one of his guards out leaving him and oen guard inside, when I got in they rushed my walker, and I planted my dot's on both. walker died, but took ivar with him. then I focused on the guard and took it down, I had to use a healthstone and a health potion, but it wasnt too bad.

Before you enter make sure that you get the wandering mob that goes in and out of the barn. Ivar (when I killed him) had 2 companions inside and the 3rd one would have been a pain for my mage if I hadn't caught him before he and I entered the barn. Just make sure you don't aggro Ivar before you kill those 2. Ivar is a breeze btw. Easy kill.

I did it as a 14 holy priest alone, just make sure you clear all of them in front of the barn, and then time the other two that patrol in and out of the barn, then you only have to deal with Ivar and one add when you get all the way inside.

killing all the ravenclaw slaves near the house was simple and the one thats in the house. then there was just ivar and one slave so i just fireball'd ivar twice then arcane explosion then frost nova then fire blast quickly looted the head as i had hardly any hp then died because of the slave that was still hitting me lol but i got the head so i was happy:) lol

Not that easy... at least, not for a solo mage. He has at least four guards within the barn, and another four outside, all with fast respawn rates. Even as a level 15 mage, I died several times and had to content myself with resurrecting, loot-and-run, etc.

They're all highly resistant to spells, and can't be polymorphed.

I did it as 12 lvl mage. I cleaned it from adds and patrol, then remained only boss with one add. I pulled boss and killed him (add still attacking me), then I ran away from last add and when he evaded I came back for head. Died just one time, second try was successful :)
