Hey! Hey, you! Get over here!

Ya gotta help me out. I was runnin' from them Dark Iron dwarves, and I hid in here to get out of sight. Damn bastard geologists and their magic ways! They musta seen me hide, cause next thing I knew, they locked the door and stuck me in here.

Teach them geologists a lesson! Oh... an' can ya get me some pieces of silk cloth for... for... nothin'.

The droprate of silk off the nearby dwarves is horrible. I suggest that you bring silk prior to getting this quest. If you decide to clear the camp over and over, don't forget about the second camp to the north along the road. Clear one camp then run back to the other and repeat the cycle for minimum downtime.

Didn't have any silk so I just took the pass (start coord 69,53 in Searing Gorge) over to the Badlands and killed about 12 Shadowforge Tunnelers (coords 53,34 at Hammertoe Dig site. Fast drops on silk.

I picked up this quest after releasing the guy who was in the outhouse. It let me get the quest , so I figure it will let me turn it in....I don't think so! I complete it and go back to the outhouse to turn it it and it won't let me : ( so, just in FYI, don't free the guy before you do this quest. Or it will be all for naught.

Even closer are the ogres just to the south of the entrance to Searing Gorge and they drop silk in large quantities.

15 Silk is not that much, most anyone should have it and you will always find it in the AH, I would recommend that you bring it with you, makes your life easier and saves time.

p.s. be careful not to aggro all of the dwarves at once because there fireballs do some pretty mean damage.

This quest is gotten from the Outhouse at 65,62, it looks like a wooden cubicle.

The camp of Dark Iron Geologists is at the Grimeslit Dig Site (60,63). I normally keep Silk in my bag so that's not my main worry.

the outhouse is on the hill above the grimesilt digsite.&nbsp approach the digsite from the tanner camp and you will see a hill leading up behind the digsite.&nbsp follow that hill to find the outhouse.&nbsp It is guarded by a single tempered war golem (lvl 45-47.)&nbsp Also, note that it doesn't show up on the minimap when you are close, and it doesn't have the floating question mark, so you have to keep your eyes open for it.

You can do both Key to Freedom and Locked In although logically you should be able to do only one.

They are found at the Grimesilt Dig Site, which is in the SE part of the zone. And silk rarely drop from these guys, best bet is to buy 15 at the AH.

The Geologists at the Grimesilt Dig Site are in three groups, 2 each in front of the tents and 2 more up a slight rise behind the tents. The 3 at each tent are linked and the geologists are casters, so you can't pull them. But you can pull the third mob at each tent - a Dark Iron Watchman.

First, kill all the roaming golems or they will surprise you with their aggro range. Then pull each of the Watchmen far enough away so you are out of range of the Geologists. Kill the Watchmen, then kill the casters.

You should be able to do the entire quest at the camp because all the mobs respawn quickly, including the golems. Not much silk drops (not 15 at any rate), so be prepared to get that elsewhere. Pretty decent XP at level 47 (Shadow Priest).
