Description

The Stormwind Army has placed a bounty on murloc lurkers and foragers in Elwynn. Slaughter them and bring me their torn murloc fins, and the Stormwind Army will reward you well.

Deliver the Thomas Report is the prerequisite to this quest, but it is not listed as such on Wowhead.

The murlocs are located upstream the river and to the northeast. They are easily spotted by their island-style huts, and the fins don't take too long to drop but the murlocs are very difficult to face alone at level 10. Tough quest imho.

Locs: 80,56...79,49 and therabouts.

The droprates on them are awful. Took quite some time to get the quest finished, but they -do- drop. Slowly.

I *think* the pre-req for this quest is Deliver Thomas' Report.

I found out the drop rate to be a bit low, and the Murlocs are quite hard to fight at level 9. Gives good XP though. Also, be careful with the aggro, as the Murlocs in the camp are really near of each other.

It seems I can't get the quest as a Night Elf. Perhaps it's a human only quest.

The attack speed on the quest rewards are questionable compared to slightly less dps weapons you'd get a little earlier in the game.

possibly the most frustrating quest in the first zone.

drop rate is about 20%, which means you need to kill forty Murlocs. the Murlocs are in two areas, one on the west side of the lake and one along the shorline between the pumpkin patch and the landing. the former is truly awful because the Murlocs are easily aggrod in groups of two, and there is a lot of competition. so i suggest the shoreline (fewer murlocs but they are not in groups and basically zero competition).

but most importantly, i suggest skipping this quest altogether.
