Kibler's Exotic Pets

Travel to Blackrock Spire and find Bloodaxe Worg Pups. Use the cage to carry the ferocious little beasts. Bring back a Caged Worg Pup to Kibler.
Caged Worg Pup
Provided Item:
Empty Worg Pup Cage

Description

You're probably wondering what I'm doing out here. Look at the cages! Ain't it obvious?

I'm an animal lover, first and foremost, but a salesman by trade. I track down exotic animals for the rich and famous and domesticate the beasts so they behave as proper pets.

Now you're probably wondering, "What can I do for you, Kibler." The answer is simple: Take this here beast cage and find me some worg pups. For that, I'll domesticate a worg for you!

Having just done this quest (and En-Ay-Es-Tee-Why) solo using Stealth, I decided I'd write up a guide for other people daft enough to want to do the same 8-)

Fair warning, it's very picture-intensive, very long, and a complete spoiler, if you want to learn it for yourself then don't look!

There are probably other, better ways of doing it, but this one worked for me.

One thing to keep in mind is you can use the pup cage even if you're in combat. On several occasions in LBRS, the pups have aggroed the groups I was with while fighting that orc pack near their niche. If that happens and you're on this quest, just target one of the pups and activate the cage. You'll take out an add and complete your quest all in one go.

You can capture any color worgpup in BRS since each time you use the worgpup you get the color is randomly given.

Anyone can do this quest, squigette, but only a rogue can effectively do this solo. If you're far enough from the mother worg when trapping a pup, you won't even catch aggro--at level 60 anyway--and can go back into stealth or hearthstone out of there. I'm not that great with directions, but you need to go beyond the LBRS spiders and then through the hallway with the tough ogres where the tribute head is placed. Then you go into another hallway after passing some bugs and take a right. At the end of that hallway are some guards and the small room with worg pups.

anyone want to explain how to do this for those of us who CAN'T stealth? geez...
Assume I'm in a group, how exactly am I supposed to trap one of these guys without having the entire litter and mom eat my face?
I know people do it all the time becuase I see NON ROGUES with these all the time...can some nice person&nbsp just explain it please? or shall I have to rely on my PuG to explain everything?

That guide was awesome, completed as 59 druid. One thing I have found regarding stealth though, is that if something 'notices' you, you can keep walking. I never stay still til something stops looking, I just keep going and dont have any problems.

One other thing I would like to add, in the room where the spiders dash to the wall where you rely on luck, I found it easier to go around the left side after the two nearest moved away. None fo the spiders seemed to dash toward the left wall. It is a little tough to climb over the rocks, but doable. I did the left side twice as I messed up the first time after clearing this room, went AFK where I thought it was safe and a patrol got me, hehe.

tyvm dianius for that info and pics too.. extremly helpful.. i too found going around the left side of the last set of spiders was better than goin on the right side.
&nbsp one thing thats easier at the very begining instead of going down that ramp and through that door... if you go up the first ramp to the right and take that first right, drop off the edge and take that door to the left it puts you in the same place without passing more ppl.. but be careful cause theres a pat that paths through both door ways.&nbsp 57 dru no points in imp stealth, found soothe beast to be helpful on that second spider on the left in the first set.
*also* for catching the worg pup i proweled in between the 2 left pups to the very back, soothe beast on the closest one, it allowed me to get close enough to catch it without ANY agro from any of them. GL.

well..they must've changed this cuz..u unstealth now when attemping to cage it AND hits interrupt u now.

trying this on my rogue right now, 3 failed attempts thus far. ima keep tryin.

also on a side note, when i used to summon my mount while stealthed i never came unstealthed until i was on my mount..but after 1.10..you unstealth when u start summoning mount. but i did notice that u stay in stealth now when applying posions.

lil bit of a switch a roo blizz did it seems.

**update** i did this, i went into the cave, u can go to the far corner and unstealth, still easy ta do if u can stealth.

I found them beyond the spiders, go past the huge mage ogers, walk through the corridor to the end and then take a right. Head straight and enter the room on the left. You will find the pups there with their mother.

How does one get the worg pet to attack? he doest seem to respond to pet attack commands. Does it automatically attack your rogue targets when they vanish?

it doesn't have the same 1 colour, but everything you summon it, it could be a different colour or the same...btw theres a short-cut that will save time to get to the pups

trying to use that guide but the link doesn't work. hopefully a 60 orc hunter without shadowmeld can do this as well. getting a group for any instance sucks, and getting one that actually completes it is even harder. the one run i did that didn't just wipe, and did make it to halycon, was with this steamrolling guild that didn't slow down and let me tame a pet or capture a worg for the quest. So i'm going to buy a few of those invis pots, and try my best. def going to bring a cloaking cat that i can abandon when the time is right, good suggestion!

The pups do not attack - they are the 'for show' pets that follow you.

Capturing the pup does take you out of stealth, it is easy to vanish back however.

Fantastic guide i did this with my 55 Druid. you cannot use the cage while stealthed so you kinda have to cross your fingers and activate close to the lone pup in the corner. I died twice once on the way in and once when i gathered the pup. Thank you for the video guide. Go up the chain instead of down to get to LBRS You probably can use the cage as a rogue stealthed but in cat form you cannot use the cage..

I solod as a 62 druid, what you can do is go into the back corner of the worg room and use the item since theyre all grey and wont aggro. Plus, the elite mob doesnt aggro you, so you can catch the worg, and then cast barkskin and tele moonglade/hearth :)

Thank you Dianius! This guide was awesome I just finished the quest with my lv60 Hunter and did it with my Rogue last night.

Also I got to charm a Bloodaxe Worg and finally get my Bite 8 ability for pets.

Thanks again!

Oh yeah Feign Death and Shadowmeld and 3 Inviso potions get a Hunter in there almost as good as getting a rogue in there. Charm a Snowcat from Winterspring for Prowl so you can use Eyes of the Beast and pet stealthed to scout where to run and FD.
