Description

I've been tasked to recruit more wyverns for the master wind riders. Their numbers are growing and I myself hope to become a wind rider one day. However, we cannot train enough wyverns to keep up with the demand. Perhaps you can help me, <name>.

I need you to travel to Highperch to gather some wyvern eggs. From here, head northwest along the canyon walls to a ramp that will lead you into Highperch. Be careful, wyverns are very protective over their eggs and they will not be kind to intruders.

There is a ramp at the 15ish coordinates. But it doesn't matter. Look on the FAR WEST side of your Thousand Needles map. On the lower left of the west side there is a cauliflower-like outcropping drawn in. That's where the eggs are. There are obvious ramps once you get in that area.

Eggs are in the area around 11,36. To get up there, the path starts at 15,33.
The wyverns and consorts up here are level 28-29.
The eggs are mostly around the rock pillars(I haven't seen any around the northmost one), 1 egg looted per egg object.

There is an escort quest you can get up here, the NPC is at 18,41. While there are no ambushes, you do have to deal with the respawns.

ok enough of the coord. crap.&nbsp the ramp is easy to find. from freewind post jest head straight west until u hit the south wall of thousand needles and run west along the wall til you see the big totem pole and a ramp. thats it.&nbsp the creatures are lvl 28 and 29, very easy.

If you are horde pick up the quest "Homeward Bound" (https://classicdb.ch/?quest=4770) while you are doing this one. It's a simple escort quest, just take Pa'oka out of the Highperch area, killing any wyverns in the way.

The ramp starts at 15,33 and on the top you can et a simpel quest.
I did this in lvl 26 solo unded (mage) EASY XP

This one was a fun one. I solo'd it at 29 and made 30. My pet was 28. You need to travel to Highperch. The loc for the entrance is 13,34. Run up the slope and you'll see the Wyverns leisurely flying around. They're spread out in this are and the kills are easy. I wouldn't worry about aggro too much unless you don't know how to pull properly. The eggs aren't in nests they're just sitting on the ground. I made the kills in a counter-clockwise pattern. Near the end was a crate with goodies in it. The crate is near another part of the area that leads up top. A few Wyverns there to kill and more eggs. Also, there is another quest up there, it's an escort quest. I didn't take it but I might come back for the hell of it.

My results:
You gain 1750 experience.
Your reputation with Thunder Bluff has increased.
Received 19 Silver.

The ramp is at 18,41, right by the totem pole.&nbsp 15,33 is Rok'Alim's area though I suppose it's possible there's a ramp there as well.

...do not forget to do the escort quest called "Homeward Bound" - which, for some reason, does not show up when you ask Anonymous for a list of all the Horde quests. Basically, you want to grab your last eggs in the "lobe" of Highperch that's the most southeastearly. Clear the area, and run up the narrow curving ramp up the side of the depression, and it will take you to Heartrazor's lair (elite wyvern, a bit tough to kill). Clear that area, and at the far end there is a Tauren who will ask to be escorted out of Highperch. By having the area cleared, you'll maximize the distance you can travel before you start encountering respawns. By the time you do, you'll have only a few mobs to fight, making it one of the easiest escort quests - on a par with the one in Stonetalon where you escort the tauren out of Camp Aparaje - because if you do it right, there's little to contend with other than one small group of spawns that are actually part of the escort quest.

As others have said, this is a pretty easy quest. Each egg is just sitting on the ground and the wyverns are slow and easy kills. I was never jumped and never had to fight two on one. Just do figure 8's around the rocks until you get your 10 eggs. While you're there you might want to complete the Test of Strength and Steelsnap quests as well, since they are all close together.

I found the ramp around 15,31 behind the totem pole. I solo'ed this with a Lvl 28 undead shadow priest. Just pick the wyverns off one at a time. Plenty of eggs around when I went, though some were in odd places like op against the canyon wall. Just keep your eyes open and you'll find 10 pretty quick. Took me about 15 minutes being reasonably carefull.

I kept aggroing wyvrens out of the blue.&nbsp I didn't notice that there is a layer of flying wyverns up above.&nbsp Died twice before I noticed them.&nbsp Keep your eyes on the skys boys!

Open your map. Look on the left (west) side. You will see a bulge (looks like some strange growth) in a small area. That is it. The map shows 2 points where it meets the main land..go to the one furthest west.

The actual location of the room is&nbsp 13,34. when you see the totem , look for a path on the hill i'ts on, go up that path and you will find&nbsp the room.

I found the ramp at 13,33. On the map (M key) its the bit that looks like you can go there from the lower ground, the NW entrance. If you stand with your back to the cliff and look left, you will see a faint track running up the hill. Follow it and you will get there. The egg quest took about 45 mins as a lvl 29 Hunter. Luck.

Did this at level 30 (Hunter) - I didn't think there was much of a problem with aggroing.

Btw. there's a quest you can get up there where you get to escort some a guy down, easy XP when you're already there anyway.

Okay, i got in there, la dee da, all is well.&nbsp I see eggs, EVERYWHERE...&nbsp Can't pick up a single one...&nbsp Packs not full, and i have the quest...

Whats the deal?

This is located just west of Whitereach Post, you can't really miss it. It is a large indentation on your map, and the ramp is obvious.

I found this very easy with my level 29 priest. Mobs drop good vendor trash and are great for skinning, too. I think I'll come back here to grind for a level or two until I can start doing quests in the Shimmering Flats.

look at your damn map, its the little caves thing in the top left corner.

The eggs spawn slowly though, so be prepared.
creatures are lvl 28-32.

Beat it with ease with a lvl 31 mage.

The cordinates is 15.33 next from a ramp. I was a Level 26 UD Warlock with my level 26 pet and was beat the mobs (lvl 27-31) without problems. Nice drops founded a Ring and a good chest. Easy and much xp the reward is also good.

I solo'd it at lvl 29 I just sent my void in whilst I ran round collecting eggs
I had great fun good loot as well if you're a cloth wearer

I did this solo as a lvl 25 Undead priest. Made it to lvl 26, died a few times but got it done. Not really hard but some points were tricky.

this quest was easy with my level 29 troll hunter. I just got anoyed with another player who kept getting the eggs while I was dealing with the Wyverns (too bad I'm not PVP sometimes).

The real good thing was the hidden chest located behind a tree in the area where you have the path to climb higher. I received a BLUE AXE AND a GREEN DAGGER at once ! SO COOOOOOOOL :-)

solo-ed this as a 27 shadow priest. The wyverns fly really slow so if you approach correctly, you'll never get jumped by 2. Be careful of the Patriach though, it's lvl 31, so i gave it a miss. For some reason, anything 3 lvls above me tends to resist my spells & hits alot more. :?

Solo this one as a 27 mage. I was alarmed at first, since the wyverns were 2-3 levels higher than me, but they were pretty well spaced, and relatively easy to take out. There was a small party up there at the same time, so we sort of jumped each others eggs while one was tied up with a wyvern. I was irritated at first, but it seemed to work out. The eggs have a very fast respawn time, much faster than the wyverns, so it is pretty easy to get all 10 quickly.

Also beware of the Galak Elie that comes at you with a pack of Hyenas in the area. He killed me four times today while trying to get to the perch. I almost beat him the last time but ran out of healing pots I could use and ended up dead :( thats all.
