Description

The road to Darnassus must be kept safe. Travelers heading from Dolanaar to Darnassus have been reporting ruthless attacks by corrupted furbolgs from the Gnarlpine tribe.

Important news and commerce travels to and from Darnassus by way of this road daily. We cannot afford to have a rogue band of heathens terrorizing people.

Take up arms in the name of the sacred forest, <class>. Their den lies somewhere below this vantage point. Slay 6 of these Gnarlpine ambushers and report back to me.

go on the road towards darnassus from dolanaar until you reach 47,53 and then head south and you should be close to a cave and quite a few ambushers.

Relatively easy to solo as a priestess.

Quest was still yellow to me when I started at 7th level. On the last kill, I made my 8th level, and the quest was still yellow.

Material reward is as stated (2s 25c) along with 700XP (at 8th level) and a Darnassus faction increase.

Keep following the path out of dolanaar to Darnassus.

A bit out, you'll see a cave that is south of the path. Go past that, and there are millions standing in front of that cave :D

Just follow the road until it curves up. Right south of the curve is the cave and the ambushers. Easy.

Note that the quest text refers to "Sentinel Amara Nightwalker", which is different from the questgiver's name, Moon Priestess Amara. Odd...

easy done with Druid 9 lvl , the coordinates are correct , it's near to the road leading to Darnassus !

Doing the Relics of Awakening quest last night, I completed this quest just by killing the ambushers I ran into while looking for the barrow. No extra time traveling I forget if they were directly on the way to the cave but they are very nearby.

this was easy for my level 8 hunter..concussion shot and arcane + serpent got em down to 1/4 hp befor they reached me.. for warriors..i would reccommend charging..then going back and make him follow..u dont wanna aggro 2 at once

Flanked by (NPC #10606) and (NPC #10604), Moon Priestess Amara will be on the road between Dolanaar and Darnassus.

They can be found patrolling between 55.74,58.35 and 50.21,53.87 with three exceptions:
  • Any mob that gets too close to the road, where the troop will stop, kill, then resume their patrol
  • A player asks the Priestess about (Quest #487) which will cause the troop to stop where they are for 2 minutes
  • Whilst they patrol westwards, at 50.44,55.52 they will encounter a group of four (NPC #11690), once they are all dead, the troop resume their patrol
You will not be able to ask for this quest whilst the troop are in combat, if this happens, just wait and they will finish their fight then make the quest available to you.
