I read some of the posts saying the quest was bugged but its not. You have to escort Lakota out of the Village and then she will&nbsp disappear. From there, return to Freewind Post and speak with Thalia Amberhide who is inside of the Inn. Everything worked fine for me. Lvl 25 mage.

The spawn rate here is high, so you'll need to fight your way down even if you cleared the path on the way up. Additional mobs spawn when she reaches each plateau, but you can start pulling the respawned Grimtotems while still on the bridges to avoid fighting them all at once.

Lakota disappears once you get to the bottom of Darkcloud cash in the quest in Freewind Post to get the reward.

Her respawn rate is slow: I got there right at someone else started and there was enough time for 3 repops before she came back. She stands just outside the hut near Arnak in case you get there and are waiting for her to return.

Lvl 29 Druid and I handled it pretty easily.&nbsp I stayed in bear form the whole time except for the one heal I needed.

Pre-pulling to clear the bluffs ahead of her arrival is key to making this escort quest work. Without it you can easily be facing five or six mobs at once.

Fortunately, she is one of the more intelligent escorts and will actually come running up from where she was plodding behind you and assist with these clearing attempts and then run back to where she was before. This makes it a lot easier. Still, because of the demands of clearing and then the scheduled spawned ambushes, mana users are highly recommended to have a couple of mana pots on hand to speed recovery.

One other thing to watch for is the rare patrol mob that can come up from behind you and attack her, especially if you are distracted with clearing ahead of her. I've only had this happen once, but it was enough to teach me to check behind me before I go and start clearing ahead.

This quest is much easier with a two-man group, though it can be done solo.

As a lvl 31 deep fire-spec mage, I wiped three times before I got the timing of killing mobs right. If you rely on mana in any way, make sure you take every opportunity to keep it up. Also, make sure you have healing potions on hand.

I solo'ed this as a L31 Rogue. Perhaps I was lucky but it wasn't so bad. Once or twice I was really low on health, but managed to stay alive.

One tip, try to fight the one she is fighting.

solo'ed with 29 rogue. Almost got ganked when at worst I was beaten at by 6 guys (1 sap'ed), but evasion, potion and vanish saved me!

didn't run ahead to clear, but that seems as a good tip

&nbsp &nbsp This quest is showing COMPLETED but has "FAILED" next to its name in the quest description
&nbsp &nbsp I completed it in a group of 2, but got it by share rather than directly.
&nbsp &nbsp Pretty sure its a bug . . . "Thalia Amberhide" in freewind Post won't talk or display the yellow or silver question mark.&nbsp
&nbsp &nbsp Any chance of a fix? since It was hard to get there, I dont really want to repeat it.

Weird thing happened to me. A paladin and I were doing this quest when the NPC disappeared. I charged into combat (warrior), and the NPC ran up to help attack the mob... then she disappeared. We weren't too far away (the length of a warrior charge, and she ran up to me after I did it), so it wasn't because of that. We didn't (and still haven't as of about 15 minutes later) fail the quest, but obviously couldn't complete it. Not a disaster, as I could just abandon and re-accept when the NPC respawns, but it sucked a little. Just giving everyone a head's up. First time that's ever happened to me on an escort quest.

Warrior 29 couldn't do it.&nbsp You think you're doing fine, but the game spawns extra stuff to fight you WHILE you're fighting the stuff that's already there.&nbsp I'm talking fighting four things at once on each platform thing, then it spawns an extra three.&nbsp Good luck.

If there are mobs on the islands then pull em 1 and 1 out on the bridge and she will kill em. do untill cleaned then kill the one that spawns

This is not as hard as it seems. I usually skip ALL the Escort quests, but this NPC packs an insane punch. We walked into 6 enemies, killed 1 and I decided to run as I saw no chance of survival. I watched the battle afar from a bridge and this lady was able to last approx. 40 seconds against 5 enemies on her own. Considering she is Tauren, maybe I should have known, lol

Quite an annoying quest really. Managed to just solo this at level 30 (priest).

The people on the hills respawn quickly anyway, plus the added mobs that spawn out of no where. She can take 1 mob on her own. I used fear alot.

If your caster your going to need mana potions and judge time wisely. Wouldn't try this if your below 2 really.
