The Lost Tablets of Mosh'aru

Bring the Third and Fourth Mosh'aru Tablets to Prospector Ironboot in Tanaris.
Third Mosh'aru Tablet
Fourth Mosh'aru Tablet

Description

The troll with whom you spoke did not tell the truth. The two tablets you gained for him spoke of containing the essence of Hakkar, but there is more to that legend. I have studied long, and found that there are six Tablets of Mosh'aru, not two! Six!

And I fear that we will not like what secrets the others hold..

Find the third and fourth tablets of Mosh'aru. They're in the Eastern Plaguelands, held by the mossflayer trolls. Find them, and bring them to me.

I found it very hard to find out exactly where the two tablets are from this thread so im going to give a walkthrough discription.

First you have to get to Zul'Mashar which is in EPL in the NE corner. I just mounted and ran through all the trolls along the way to the altar. Go to the bottom of the stairs at the altar and look towards the top. Go up the stairs and stop after you get to the top of the stairs. Slowly pan to your left and you should see the 3rd tablet. Get it...duh. Go back down the stairs and look to the top of the altar again. Start walking around the entire altar counterclockwise but stay looking towards the top of the altar and try to keep all of the altar in view. After a few paces you should be at the southern corner of the altar. There is the first raised section of the altar that connects with the ground, look on that section you should see a summoner dude and the 4th tablet near him. Once you have the tablet in view you can use anyway you see fit to obtiain the tablet, I went onto a small raised section of ground, mounted, and jumped onto the raised section of the altar.

There should be no reason for you not to be able to understand this guide IMO. GL in LBRS afterwards!

This is part of a long chain quest designed to familiarize you with Zul'Gurub and the Zandalar Tribe. Much of the rewards are decent for their level. The Faded Hakkari Cloak is only slightly worse than everyone's favorite Hide of the Wild. Definitely a worthwhile chain for someone that doesn't want to shell out for the Hide.

Here's the full quest chain:
- Screecher Spirits(Feralas) - https://classicdb.ch/?quest=3520
- The Prophecy of Mosh'aru(Zul'Farrak) - https://classicdb.ch/?quest=3520
- The Ancient Egg(Hinterlands) - https://classicdb.ch/?quest=4787
- The God Hakkar(Temple of Atal'Hakkar) - https://classicdb.ch/?quest=3528

- The Final Tablets(Lower Blackrock Spire) - https://classicdb.ch/?quest=4788

Good post Warlord

To sum up:&nbsp 3rd Tablet is at the top of the ziggurat on the left.&nbsp 4th is at the bottom to the right of the stairs (as you face them)

Just a side note.&nbsp At the top of the stairs, I encountered 2 rare spawns, no biggie, 60 Hunter w/Pet took them down (melee, no less).&nbsp I got 2 cloth drops.

There are alot of Spellbinders (?) around the ziggurat but they didn't attack me (but threw me in attack mode so I had to feign to be able to mount).&nbsp Would be alot easier to stealth this or get a nice big group together and have yourself a mossflayer fry.&nbsp Hope this helps.

Not sure where the Elite part of this is since this isn't too hard to solo. The trolls are all mid-50s non-elites. There are a fair number of them, so it's handy to have a group to plow through them to the temple.

Stumbled into a way to do this solo, though. I fought my way past the first few trolls with my mage, but got impatient. With blink and frost nova, I ran all the way to the temple steps and probably could have reached the top. But since the steps were totally unguarded and I still had aggro from the mobs I ran past, I thought it smart to die in a clear area so I could rez safely.

Anywise, if you're willing to die once, seems like it wouldn't be hard for you to ride your mount all the way into the camp and up to the temple steps to die there. Run back and you can then get the tablets in relative comfort.

The tablet at the top of the temple steps is somewhat near to two trolls. As a Level 60 mage, I was able to walk to it without aggroing either, but if you're mid-50s when you try this, you might want to pull one or both.

The tablet to the right of the steps at the base has one troll nearby, but just the one. Soloing it shouldn't be a problem.

Afterwards, just hearth or port out.

Above locations are correct. The quest says elite, but you can avoid any elite mobs and most normal ones on the way in if you stay in the mountains to the east/southeast until you're almost at the temple. You might need to fight one or two 57-59 normal mobs near the temple as long as you're careful about your aggro radius. Getting back out is another matter. Personally, I hearthed.

For those of us that found this post unhelpful. Here is some tips for soloing(was level 59 warlock).

The mobs don't call for help. If you are not careful the scouts will run to the nearest guardpost and get help. The scouts did not start doing this until after I had gotton the tablets and Hameya's key.

Most of the mobs can passed without aggroing any of them.

BIGGEST TIP: Don't run through the graveyard in the central area at the bottom of the stairs of the temple. Infected Mossflayers will spawn everywhere. Make your way around one of the sides and jump over the wall at the bottom.

At the base of the temple just to the right of the stairs the fourth tablet is resting against the bottom tier wall. A lvl 59 Shadowhunter is channeling next to it. He can be killed without aggro from other mobs.

The third tablet as at the top of the temple on the left resting against the low wall. You can acquire this tablet without getting aggro from the channeler near it.

For some reason I found a lot of these directions very difficult to follow, and after pre-reading routes and whatnot, decided to just go for it myself.

I did this solo as a 57 warlock.

The path up to the temple sorta sucks, mainly because of the troll Scouts.&nbsp If you engage one, they'll run to any nearby mobs, whether it's one or an entire encampment.&nbsp So it can go from fighting one mob to three or even four very quickly.&nbsp I managed to make it up the path with some difficulty, although it was nothing impossible.

Once you reach the top of the path, there's a wide open area, there's a sort of path on either side and a middle area.&nbsp In the middle are graves, stepping on these graves will summon a !@#$-ton of troll zombies which will immediately spell your demise.&nbsp Luckily, I only did this on the way out.&nbsp The middle seemed a little messy for me, as there's also already spawned zombies milling about on top of 2+ scouts.&nbsp To either side is a path with 2 small encampments of mobs on it.&nbsp There are random PATs all over the area, so I tried to take these down before engaging the encampments.&nbsp Using this method, I took the path to the left and it was pretty much easy street.&nbsp Once you get up to the corner of the temple, you're basically in the clear.&nbsp Hug the wall of the temple towards the front steps.&nbsp There is one mob on the steps who's easy to dispatch, none of the channeling mobs should attack.

At the top of the stairs, there was a rare spawn, but, seeing as he's rare this may or may not be an issue.&nbsp He's none too difficult, level 58, similar to the troll cannibals.&nbsp I took him down with no problem, and he dropped a +20 SR ring & some random green leather.&nbsp As soon as you get to the top of the stairs, you look to your left and there's the third tablet.&nbsp There's no mobs up here that'll aggro, so you can meander around all you want.&nbsp Once you've grabbed that tablet head to the&nbsp east side of the temple.&nbsp If you look towards the bottom you'll see two mobs standing on the ground.&nbsp I found it easiest to just kill these two, though you might be able to skip them.&nbsp Jump down to the ground and you'll see an area where you can walk back up onto the side of the temple.&nbsp Walk back onto it and head towards the southern (stairs) side of the temple.&nbsp Right there in the corner is the fourth tablet.

Found the 4th tablet at the right corner at the basement (72,15).

Soloed easily as a lvl 58 paladin, just stun scouts when they see you. Else they run away and get help. Once you stunned them they will fight you though, and won't get any adds.

There are some mobs that look like they are casting before you even get in combat are channeling. Don't hit them, they won't hit you, but you'll be stuck in combat awhile when you get close to them. There is one near the third tablet, and all of the mobs besides the pat on the pyramid are channeling.

The Prophecy of Mosh'aru
The Ancient Egg
The God Hakkar
The Lost Tablets of Mosh'aru

This quest can be completed in Eastern Plaguelands, and the tabelts are found in the north-east of the map.
As posted before, here are the coordinates:

Third Mosh'Aru Tablet: 72 , 12
Fourth Mosh'Aru Tablet: 72, 15

As a Rouge, it was easy to stealth up to the tablets, sap one of the trolls near it, get the tablet, restealth, and repeat on the next tablet. Easy quest.
The mobs aren't elite, I don't know why they are posted elite. I am sure the quest is easily soloable or can be done with 2 or 3 people.

requires skill in stealth if you wanna get past this solo... you can't take on all the trolls, they call for help like mad.

lvl 58 hunter- died once, ran through from right to pick up 4th tablet under zig, ran up stairs, picked the ones on top easily.

For a lvl 60 hunter the tablet on top of the pyramid was dead easy. I took out one troll on the stairs and was then able to go get the tablet without aggroing anyone on top of the pyramid.

The tablet at the base were a bit harder - 3 trolls noticed me, but none of them called for help - but after them it was just a quick ride out of troll town - mission accomplished.

This isn't too hard. Stealth and pick up the tablets at the base and on the top as noted. There's one patrol on the top. There are also the stationary "summoning" NPCs that seem to be projecting their energy at something--they won't attack you but they will lock you in combat mode. There's really no way around this. In retrospect the best way to do this as a rogue is to start at the one on the top and then drop down to the one on the bottom. You will be in combat mode the whole time but you can vanish after getting both and then stealth out. I didn't do this. I died because I didn't want to wait on a 4 minute vanish cooldown. I probably should have waited...

Died once running up ramp to top of hill on mount.&nbsp Rez'd in a safe spot at top of hill then rode mount to the left till I hit pyramid.&nbsp Aggro'd mobs on the way but they ran back and never attacked once I got to the top of the pyramid steps.

Third tablet was a bit to the left at the top.&nbsp Mobs nearby did not move or attack as I looted.

Hopped up on ledge on the stairs to left as I descended stairs then dropped down to ground level about halfway to get fourth tablet which is leaning against the base of the pyramid (right side as you face the pyramid).&nbsp Again the bad guy right next to it did not move or attack me.

Hearthed out.&nbsp Pretty easy except for the death running up the first ramp.

It's marked as an Elite quest, but the mobs are not elite. However, you will find yourself in trouble quickly if the scouts aggro you. Instead of attacking, they'll run for help and grab some buddies. So just keep an eye out. I am not a fan of zerging and rezzing to complete quests, so my hunter partner and I found out the hard way how fun the scouts can be.

You'll find the tablets at the temple in Zul'Mashar (NE Eastern Plaguelands). Not the trolls in the southern part of the zone.
