Description

It is said that only one Breastplate of Bloodthirst has ever been created and that it was made for the legendary assassin, Garona. Whether this world will ever see another is doubtful.

Regardless! Our master crafters can reproduce the item given the necessary components:

*The pristine hide of the Beast.

*Frayed abomination stitchings.

*Arcanite bars.

*The skin of shadow.

Pristine Hide of the Beast is skinned off The Beast in UBRS.
Frayed Abomination Stitching drops off of various mobs in Stratholme.
Arcanite Bars can be transmuted.
Skin of Shadow is dropped off of various mobs in Scholomance.
The 50g comes from your pocket ].

The stats on the Breastplate of Bloodthirst are basically pre-Molten Core, and good for non-raiders, especially with an enchant.

The only thing that's debatable is whether or not it's worth all the hours you'll put in collecting the mats, or the gold to aquire them.

I can see what the fuzz is all about, but I gotta say thou, if I was a rogue, id never really go to such efforts for this armor, when clearly theres better out there for rogue, easier to achieve.

For the other 2 items crafted of the hide, I think neither is really worth the effort either.

But for a feral druid, this chest is very nice. So I would put it this simple, if no druids in the raid needs the hide, let the skinner have it....i see no reason why any other classes should roll on the skin at all than druid infact....i mean, if youre balance druid, and consider the legs...sure theyre nice for leather, but heck...with 360% armor bonus in moonkin, why do you even need leather when blue cloth gives more damage? and for the stats...theyre not that great.

The scarlet cap isnt even worth mentioning, i took a look at it and got so dissapointed, theres so much better items out there than this, its almost not even worth the epic purple name...

So pristine hide of the beast is only worth using for the chest they way i see it, and only for a feral druid.....so if no druids, then let the poor skinner keep it.

And dont forget rogues, you get 1 AP pr strength, while a druid gains 2 pr strength, considering this and the massive stamina, id say a feral druid in bear form would gain most of this item, so stop being greedy if a poor bear actually wants to make this chest.

Id go as far as saying a rogue rolling on pristine hide of the beast is like a druid rolling on the shadowcraft set....sure we dont need +daggers, but heck ...we love the stats ) well offcourse rogue can put it to good use, but not as good as a bear anyways.

OK

in every class i see this dumb senstence
"Hey this is for a "class" or Hey this is not good for "class"

everyone play like they want/love/willing to SO LET THEM PLAY LIKE THEY WANT

if a rogue love to have strength it is is right

On some servers you can pay guilds to take your character through MC until the item you have payed for drops. They do this to add money to the guild bank. Think a little before calling someone a liar.

Why do you people bother argueing with each other on who this is better for? I mean seriously!

Does this have a class tag? No
Does this drop from an end-game instance? No

I mean seriously, IF you look at the mats needed, most of it you will be rolling against everyone for.

Prestine hide of the best:

Sells for 400g-1000g (depend on server)

Also used to make the other quest epic.

And don't forget unless your good enough to convince a group of 9 pugs, why they should let you "need" it. Be prepared to spend months in UBRS.

Frayed Abomination Stitchings:

Not so hard. But you might have to roll against:

1) people who have those quest for the epic mail/plate gear.

2) and people who rolling on it for the ZG Nature resist enchant.

The Skin of Shadow:

Ever since patch 1.10 these things seem to be rare. I've been through 3 runs and never seen it drop, and i've been on 1 run where 4-5 have dropped.

And finally arcanite bars, are easy to get.

In the end, what im trying to say is why waste your time saying who this is better for?

In the end, it's really depends on whether or not the person who wants it, has the patience to get the mats.

Not worth the time and effort?

WHAT time and effort? You guys have been staring at your monitors too long and fried the hell out of your brains.

10 abomination stitchings? If you have a guild that knows you already have the pristine hide, and if they're decent, they'll let you TAKE the stitchings. It'd take, maybe, 4 or 5 Strat runs. Boo hoo, I'm sure you'll survive.

Skins of Shadow? One or two Scholo runs. Cry me a river.

Arcanite? Hardly a problem. Farm a little for money, or make a few friends. Yes, friends. Scary thing to have, I know, but bear with me.

The hardest part of this is the Hide. I just won it tonight in UBRS, out of nowhere. Wasn't even looking for it. I already have 5 Skins of Shadow and three miner friends who would be more than happy to hand over a few arcanite/mats for arcanite for the right price (around 15-20g a pop).

I have all of this and I work a full time job and am married. Anyone who says this is too hard to get has NO REAL EXCUSE other than just being lazy and not wanting to do a few runs of some simple instances.

So, my advice is...stop listening to idiots on sites like Anonymous and Anonymous, and go get yourself an epic chest piece, rogues, feral druids, whoever the hell wants this. :)

Lvl 60 Rogue that does endgame with a feral druid in my guild. We often do Ubrs, Strat, and Scholo runs for the people just hitting 60 or getting close. If I see any of these mats drop I pass them to feral druids and I suggest all the rogues in my guild to do so as well. Rogues will get Nightslayer eventually and if you really try Bloodfang. If you're not into raiding heavy Darkmantle is a good choice for rogues because of set bonuses and such. Druids get healing gear for their raiding efforts and rarely get good epic leather peices with these kind of stats. Again think of the raid dps over you're dps. Even though a druid with good gear will never beat a good rogue in Dps, a druid will make better use of this chestpeice.

Guys the beast is a level 62 creature.&nbsp Formula for skinning is level/5 = level of creature you can skin.&nbsp 62*5 is 310 skinning.&nbsp so just finkles dagger will be enough.&nbsp I actually skinned the beast with only the dagger when it dropped.

In order to get this quest, you need to first go to UBRS, kill the Beast and get the quest from Finkle when he pops out.&nbsp He doesn't always pop out, but at least you know you gotta keep going til he does.

Quest:
https://classicdb.ch/quest=5047

Take the Glowing Hunk of the Beast's Flesh to Malyfous Darkhammer in Everlook.&nbsp You will then be able to get his quests (i.e. Breastplate of Bloodthirst, Cap of the Scarlet Savant, etc.)

When it comes to this just don't farm for it. just keep it in mind when you do the places that drop the things.
I mean you will probably do Scholo a lot of times to get the SC from there(skin of shadows is there). Strath for SC and some other nice things from there(abominations) Ubrs has LOADS of nice things(hide) and arcanite can be bought pretty cheap if you have a nice enough guild.

Okay, seeming no one else has posted a lot of information regarding dependencies for this quest. I have done the beast slaying, the abwee bit and the kicking off the mountain to the other island. I have also done the WP bit of the quest and seen the catalogue there.

When I went to Winterspring for this catelog I still could not get the quest. I think this is because I am neutral with the Brotherhood. I will try and get to a rank where I can access them and post the rep level.

BTW The catelog for this quest is in Everlook, on a table right next to the smelting area (beside the Brothers Thorium dude not the Argent Dawn dude as per a previous post).

&nbsp If you're having trouble figuring out this armor, just ignore the pretty purple frame for a second. Look at it as though it were a green or blue item. I couldn't really justify the effort needed to equip my 60 Rogue with this. Any breastplate you replace with it is also bound to lose a set bonus, worth considering. Come to think of it, I don't even think I'd go on instance runs for this thing.
&nbsp Even though this is just my opinion, I know that this will anger some pre-pubescent idiot into paroxyms of rage so strong that they will sorely test his typing and spelling skills.

U need pristine hide of the beast for this... not worth it... this is actually:

13 attack power
200 Health
2% crit chance
1% dodge chance

While Darkmantle tunic is:

31 attack power
62 armor (not important)
1,3% crit chance
2% dodge chance
150 health

Go figure, incalculated that darkmantle tunic gives set bonus of 200 armor (also not important, but still...) and this it more expensive. (The pristine hide is worth about 300G)

And you'll eventually replace this with things like bloodthirst or nightslayer anyway.

This is how it goes:
This is much better for PvP than Darkmantle Tunic (it's actually not close), so If 10 Frayed Abomination Stitchings fall into your lap before you're able to get your NS chestpiece, I say go for it.&nbsp Even a below-average number of Scholo runs will get you 5 Skin of Shadow, and Pristine Hide of the Beast and Arcanite Bars are just $.&nbsp If you're a level 60 rogue, you have no excuse not to have enough.&nbsp

This is quite nice for a tanking druid.. Good
AC, lots of stamina and +dodge. I'd pick this
over Tombstone for tanking any day dodge is
essential for a druid, as they haven't got parry,
and they increased the droprate of the hide
dramatically, so it shouldn't take more than 10-20
UBRS runs to get it.. unless you have bad luck
with rolls )

This is really a piece of #$%^ for rogues. The stamina is good, and the crit chance aswell, but dodge isnt and I rather have some nice agility and/or attack power than strength. The nightbrace tunic dropped in ubrs is even better imo, with 10sta 5ag 50ap and some nice resistance. If u think sta is too bad, get +100hp on it. So if u have time over, spend it on getting revered with Zandalar tribe and get the Zandalar Madcap's tunic, instead of wasting gold and time to get this.
