After turning in Medallion of Faith to Aurius in the beginning (gained by looting a chest in Stratholme Living side) he will come aid you at the fight against Baron.

Upon defeating him you will get the choice between these two fine things.

The Medallion of Faith is found in Human Strathholm about a third of the way into the actual 'scarlet crusade' part, inside of a small chest in a side room on the left of a hallway - this room contains a named mob that is for a quest (no loot, and I forget his name).

Once someone has the medallion, you must assemble an Undead Strat group or raid. Only one person in the group needs the medallion I believe everyone that has not already completed the quest will be elgibile for the reward if you are successful. I was able to complete the quest while I still had my own medallion after our priest turned theirs in to start the quest.

Aurius himself is inside of the small building (a church) just inside of UD Strat. Speak with him to start the quest for that instance. If you fail to slay the baron, you will need to obtain a new medallion (or find someone else that has it to group with).

Once started, you must clear UD Strat and kill the Baron. Partway throught the fight, Aurius shows up and attacks the baron - it is to my understanding that he will also heal members of your party, as he is a paladin. Once the baron is down, Aurius collapses and allows you to complete the quest, choosing either the necklace or ring for your reward.

There as no faction reward for me at high Honored, but it did yeild 6800 exp at 60.

I have not yet checked to see if I would be able to repeat the quest or do it in a raid - I did it in a great 5-man group.

This quest must be bugged, because I actually got the reward for it and I never even had it. As best as I can tell, someone in our raid group had the quest and when we killed the Baron, the NPC allowed me to claim the reward.

I did talk to the NPC in the chapel, but never accepted nor completed any quest for him, and I never left the raid group.

I did however get the necklace and credit for completeing the quest.

You have to get the quest and then leave the raid group to complete the quest. Make sure you get re-invited to the group quickly or you will be teleported to your hearth binding.

I got it without anyone talking to him. Appeared during a BD strat run. Might've been triggered some other way, so nvm.

My server calls it Undead Strat and Live Strat, but I originally come from a server that called it them Baron Runs and Scarlet Side of Strath (or SSS), and that what I still call them. Undead and Live just sound lame to me, because you either go to Undead to kill the Baron or go to Live to fight the Scarlets, so it either a Baron or Scarlet run, not whether most of the mobs are either undead or huminoid classified.

Ok ok listen, you get the medallion from the box in Scarlet side of Strat, you give it the guy at the chapel, Aurius shows up at Baron fight, kill the Baron, talk to Aurius after the fight, choose your reward. Yes it can be done in raid, yes as long as one person turned in the medallion everyone in the raid(that hasnt done it of course) can get the reward.

Easy enough to do.'

Got the medallion on live side. Talked to the pally in the church when I entered the dead side. then he helped kill the Baron and when he died at the end he gave me a choice of rewards (along with the other 9 peeps with me).

That ring is sweet!

My server (Proudmoore) calls them much the same as SofaKingCool the Wise's list except:

VC - Van Cleef for the Boss, 'cause DM is Dire Maul & there's no confusion or extra chat needed
Strat Dead - Eastern entrance to Strat, terminating in the Baron
Strat Live - Western entrance to Strat, terminating in Balnazaar

After killing Baron yet another time, somehow that Aurius-NPC arrived and offered me those two items. I guess someone in my raid did that quest. Never accepted this Quest in scarlet strath side.

And yes, i did this in a raid group.

you need medallion from the scarlet section by archivist, little box thing, turn in the medallion to the guy in chapel, then head to baron and kill him.

Just did that , baron raid , simply killing the baron.
After we did the baron , that human came , died at floor and offered as death wish choice between this two items ... got the ring without doing anythign for it ... second time in that instance. I never did a quest for that place.

I got 2 questions.

1. Do i need a medallion everytime i do the quest ? i just turn in a medallion and failed to kill baron.

2. Can someone confirm if this can be done in a raid.
