When you get within proximity of the quest items, a spawn called "Ghost of the Past" (https://classicdb.ch/?npc=10940) will attack you.

I had the misfortune of all 3 parts spawning in the same house and that spawned 3 Ghosts. Since it's one Ghost per quest item

If you're hunter, forget anout all written here and do the following:
1. place "ice cube" trap near the part of the doll
2. grab the part, turn aspect of cheetah on and get out
3. Repeat with another part of the doll

there are some invis 55 undeads near the parts

this is a hard quest, especially if the 3 parts of the doll spawns at the same house, u need to kill 3 ghosts then loot one part asap or two ghosts will respawn be4 u can loot it. kill the two ghosts loot the second part and 1 ghost will respawn kill him and loot the last one asap, just in case the doll respawn at the same place

Villains and Heroes do both need to be completed in order to get Marauders. However, Defenders of Darrowshire (the Uncle Carlin chain) does not need to be completed in order to get to The Battle of Darrowshire.

I found 1 doll piece per house , there are 3 houses so u wont have a problem getting them,&nbsp except those undead which spawn pretty quickely which u dont get Exp for

After leaving Pamela, go to the house right at the bottom of the hill. Go upstairs and you will find a piece of a doll with flies swarming around it. Upon looting it, a ghost will pop. Not hard, only lvl 55.

Now go outside the house and go to the house with no roof on the other side of the graveyard. There you will find what seems to be the last 2 pieces, but one is actually a decoy. The one closes to the door is the decoy and the one in the back is the real one. When you approach either one, a lvl 55 ghost will appears so don't go running from one to the other without killing the ghost first.

Exit the house again and go to the house to the right. 2 decoys one real one. The real one is in the back of the room in the center. The 2 on the side are decoys. Same thing, ghosts pop up at each one. Take caution here if you are 55-57. The room is small so you might aggro all three ghosts.

After you get all three, you need to put them together before you can turn in the quest.

I got 1g 68s for this. Not sure on the xp though, cause I'm lvl 60.

from all of these comments i would think u would have realised that there are many spawns for these, they are in all the 3 houses and there is 1 guard for each part of the doll, so if 2 of the parts are beside eachother u will need to figth 2 dudes.

I tried the quest today but when I entered the house (all tree parts of the doll were inside) und picked up one of them, 5! ghosts spawned. I died after 5 secs...

38.92 Inside house 1st floor.
-> Right side
-> Head
39.90 Inside house right from the door.
-> Lef side

Everytime you go over a piece of...(looks like crap) with flies a ghost appears. Not really hard but keep in mind you have full HP/MP.

Actually dont even go in the houses just con the doll parts from the outside of the houses and you dont have to fight they wont even notice you.

Solo'd with a 53 warrior, with a little patience.

I couldn't come close to killing these Ghosts of the Past without blowing a 30 minute cooldown. Their Frost Shock hits hard, and they slow your melee attacks down by a lot.

I discovered that after a few minutes the Ghosts will die and despawn. I could then walk up to and loot the Doll Part without problem.

What I did was attempt to loot each piece, have the mob spawn, run like hell, wait a few minutes doing other things, and then come back and loot it. Worked like a charm.

There is no set spawn point for the doll parts. You will notice several similar items laying throughout the two houses, however you will be able to interact with certain ones. NOTE: if you rush into the smaller house in the NE part of the town, you will spawn 3 55 Undead at once. Try moving slowly into the smaller house aggro the spawns one, or two at a time, as three at once can be a bit overwhelming.

After reading that there would be 3x lvl 55 when I picked up Pamela's Doll's Left side. I was ready to get my ass kicked. I did the other 2 bits np, so on the left side part I went outside the building and reached in to the gear icon.&nbsp When I picked up the item I turned into Travel form and ran. I look behind me and there was only 1 ghost and he gave up very soon.

So after all that it was easy.

Yah I found them.&nbsp Wasn't hard.

The pieces should look like they have insects buzzing over them. You need to get close enough to the pieces for the gear to just turn yellow, loot and run up the road. You should be able to loot before the undead agro. The undead don't follow very far up the road. But if you do disturb the undead, it takes a while for them to disapear again.

head in house closest to pamela, right side at bottom of stairs in same house, left side opposite to the house with head and right side.

As of a patch a while back, you can't click through the walls anymore - BUT! for the left side of the doll (that spawns 2/3 ghosts), if you stand just to the right of the door, against the wall and swivel around, you can still get the gold cog without entering the house

The three parts appear randomly in the 3 houses. No part is always going to be in the same place.

I had two parts left which I found in the smallest of the houses unfortunately, there were three ghosts in there guarding them.

I went to the biggest house and found them upstairs with only one ghost guarding.

Do the following steps when going after the parts:
1) Before approaching or attempting to get the piece, make sure your health is at full.
2) Grab the piece expecting a ghost to show up and interrupt you before getting the piece.
3) Defeat the ghost.
4) Reheal yourself.
5) NOW pick up the piece.

And repeat accordingly :)

When I went for the last piece 5 Ghost of the Past spawned in the house at the same time. That was too many for my 56 rogue as they are all lvl 55 and do Frost Shock and Chill.

I had the doll parts appear in both houses, the 1 story at 39,90 and the 2 story at 38,92. I chose the 1 story house. All 3 parts are visible from the doorway. When you move close to a part, a level 55 ghost of the past appears, so stay close to the part you are trying to retrieve.

Solo'd as a Level 56 Holy Spec Priest. Here's a doable guide for all my brothers out there:

1. For the small house thats broken down, you will find 2 pieces in there (two ghosts). Shield, shackle undead one of them, kill the unshackled one and then finish the shackled one.

2. Going into the large house there's one that will spawn right at the stairs so be prepared to shield and kill.

3. Go up the stairs once you have rested up and then once the last two ghosts spawn, repeat what you did for 1).

There is no specific place or order in which they spawn, it is random. however, by going into the three houses you will find all three, just depends which pieces will be where.

I have to admit... This quest would be A LOT easier if a level 55 ghost mob didn't pop out of nowhere! After telling you to get the heck outta there, it goes to battle mode.

I soloed as a level 52 Hunter with pet specced as BeastMaster. I too died when the three ghosts jumped me. I solved this by sending my pet in alone using Eyes of the Beast. My pet seemed to only attract one ghost at a time. I was then able to pick one off at a time.

Solo'd as a lvl 52 Warlock

Solo'd as a lvl 53 mage, all the parts were inside the houses and as soon as you enter a "Ghost from the Past" will pop up and attack you. If you're fast they are an easy kill.

No exp for killing the ghosts...that's just wrong.
