A Strange Historian

Bring Joseph's Wedding Ring to Chromie.
Joseph's Wedding Ring

Description

I wish Joseph could again be with his daughter, but it cannot be so. His soul was twisted by the Scourge, and he became a monster. Oh, he is doomed!

But perhaps we can change his fate.

Search the graves outside for Joseph's monument. His body's not there, for it was trampled and destroyed years ago, but under the monument is his wedding ring. Take that ring to Chromie... a strange gnome with very strange powers.

Chromie is staying in the ruined inn at the northwest corner of Andorhal.

Leave the house, turn left and go to the graveyard straight ahead. It's a white tombstone, coords: 49, 76.

Joseph's Ring is found in the grave yard next to the house where Marlene is. His Grave stone is easy to recognice, it has a lighter color than the other grave stones.

The full quest chain for The Battle of Darrowshire:Villains and Heroes do both need to be completed in order to get Marauders. However, Defenders of Darrowshire (the Uncle Carlin chain) does not need to be completed in order to get to The Battle of Darrowshire.

Thanks Eldrac! Chromie has indeed been moved.&nbsp Come in from the northwest, climb a few hills, and he's upstairs in the inn guarded by a few lvl 54-56 undead.&nbsp I never once encountered an elite.

Since nobody could be bothered to post the location of the annals of darrowshire.

It's in the big building at 44,70.
The entrance to that building is on the east side and I was able to get passed the mobs without getting agro.
Open one of the dusty tomes and you'll get the annals of darrowshire.

The Ring was in the cemetary just outside the house...the north side I believe...and the Inn that you take it too is at teh coorcinates listed aboce.. (39, 68 ish)

Its possible to sneak into the Inn by going round close to the wall on the same side as the monumenet in the square. You can avoid the mob of 4 by keeping very close to the wall and going into the inn. There's one lvl 55 mob in the entrance and one in each room upstairs.

So just go left when you exit the house were she is and follow the grave yard in direction for the bridge let your mouse pointer check the grave stones then you wiull find were the ring is

when looking for the ring just stand in front of the house look at the house. then look to your rigth and you sould see it. it graveyard thing it is about half teh size of a human player

The gravestone is easy to find.&nbsp It's just right next door in the graveyard.&nbsp There are about 10 or so guys around but none are elite.

If you stand infront of the building where you got the quest, facing the building, it's in the graveyard on the right.

I can hardly call this an elite quest...

...is the hard part. There are a couple of Undead along the way that can't be avoided. I can take on a Skeletal Acolyte or Executioner three or four levels above me, but there was a Searing Ghoul on the second floor that just plain fried me. Oh, incidentally, I swam around the island and entered from the western side, timimg ,y advance to avoid the Elite wanderer.

So, I took my lumps and died, ghosting as far back in the second floor as possible (I saw Chromie's "long time companion" but not the Gnome, or possibly Dragonkin, herself). Resurrecting as far back as possible, I talked to her. (Oh, for the person who asked: You have to scroll down and click on the "? A Strange Historian" link in the quest dialog.)

It was a pretty amusing encounter... "You're not from the future, are you?" Reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where Elaine's new boyfriend shaves his head and is a vegetarian. When he leaves, Jerry asks with all sincerity "Is he from the future?"

I found the ring in the graveyard next to the house where Marlene is.
When giving the ring to Chromie, she will "repair" it magically, and enhance its containt magically (...)

[][/]The co-ords can be misleading, since this is a pretty small area. The side of the graveyard where the crypt is (with the door that you can open) is the WRONG side. Follow Miam's physical directions it will lead you Str8 to the grave. Miam's post is called Ring Loc.
