Beren's Peril

Locate Beren's Peril, then kill 6 Ravenclaw Drudgers and 6 Ravenclaw Guardians, then return to Shadow Priest Allister at the Sepulcher.
  •
Ravenclaw Drudger slain (6)
  •
Ravenclaw Guardian slain (6)

Description

I have received reports that a group of undead are holing up to prepare for an attack against us. Armed with this information, we can turn the tables and attack them first, nipping their little plan in the bud.

Unfortunately, my information is spotty, at best. They are reported to be hiding in a location known as Beren's Peril. The exact location is unknown, but it appears to be a cave in the hills, near a pocket of Dalaran wizards.

I trust your resourcefulness. Find them, and put them down.

Follow the road south from sepulcher

Go past the first path to Ambermill

Follow the big bend along the path

When you see Dalaran wizards around lvl 20, you are close. Right in front of the encampment near the south entrance to Ambermill is a little path up the mountains. There will be a Dalaran wizard in front of it. You will find the ravenclaws just up the mountainpath.

Hopefully this helps!

Follow above directions. Path is majorly hard to find.&nbsp Just about 5-10 yards before the fence on the left before the turnoff to the south road to Ambermill look immediately to your left.&nbsp There are two pine trees with red fruit (?) path is behind them.&nbsp Mobs are 19-21 lvl.

The Mobs you need to kill are in and around the cave. My directions for getting to the cave. Leave the Sepulcher on the road going East. You will soon come to a T-intersection. The road north will take you to Undercity. Take the road south. Continue southward PAST the turn off to Ambermill. The road will then bend eastward toward Hillsbrad. When you get to Cosmo Coordinates 60,77 (on the road) go northward into the Hills. A good landmark is the white fence on the left side of the road JUST BEFORE all the tents of Beren's Peril. At the first fence post look north. Behind the trees is a path up to the Cave. The Coordinates for the "start of the path is 60,74. Hope this helps.

Some of the mobs in the cave are actually level 21, and due to tight spaces it can be hard to prevent adds.

If you're solo and around lvl 21, it's probably best to stay near mouth of cave.

Completed this quest although I died a few times.

The entrance is guarded by 3 but one of them does a mini patrol and separates. Once he is down the path, attack him and he won't aggro the other two.

With this one out of the way, if you are a priest, use the "shackle undead" on one and kill the other and then when the other is freed kill him as well.

I used the shackle undead spell a couple of times inside the cave and it worked.

Just be careful not to draw more than one!

good luck

Soloed as a 20 warrior, but had to be careful -- respawn rate is pretty fast.
Now a solo run as a 24 warrior is too easy.

There are 4 ore nodes in the dungeon, and by the time you complete a solo run the first one has already respawned.
Good for copper (of course), tin, and an occasional silver ore node.
Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area and you're a miner/blacksmith looking for tin/silver.

The mobs are from 19 to 21. There are pairs deeper in the cave but they're like a 19 and a 20.
There's a silver elite 22 ravenclaw at the end soloed him with my 24 warrior but wouldn't want adds on that one.

go in with 2 ppl about same lvl and you should be fine. Hard to do if lvl 20 and below alone because trees and mountains block you in going up to cave so you get attacked by multiple guys. Not impossible, just hard and time consuming. Map= 60,75 to go up the trail that leads to cave. Cave at 60,72

Just soloed it (well...with VW) as a Lvl 21 lock. This quest can be completed by only going part way into the cave, as by the time you have killed all your Guardians, the other guys will have repopped behind you and you can get them on your way out (assuming you didn't get 6 of them on your way in). BTW, locks, all of these Ravenclaws are immune to Fear, so if you pull more than one, you just have to deal with both at the same time.
There was a Lvl 17 lock trying this quest at the same time I was there. He died a couple times...and must have given up because I asked him if he wanted to group, and he didn't reply. So I wouldn't recommend soloing it below at least Lvl 18, cause this guy was having no luck at all.

Not a bad little Quest. Soloed as a level 18 Rogue. Once you find the cave there is a hill just before the entrance. You can stand on top of this and pick off the first few Drudger's by pulling with thrown. Once thats clear it's quite straight forward pull and kill inside. Watch out as you leave though as they all have fast respawn rates.

Slightly off side, the walk there from the bats has loads of Briarthorn along the road. got 12 and 6 Swiftthistle. great area for alchamists and for grinding. Almost bit it though with my 20 mage when i couldn't pull them in ones. Potions are your friend >.<

I tried soloing as a level 19 rogue and had trouble pulling one at a time so I wouldn't die. I suggest that you at least get another person to help unless you are a hunter or warlock with a pet.
