No doubt you'll kill me anyway, but if you bring me some Southshore stout--your kind does drink, don't they?--I'll tell you what you want to know.

An easier means of getting the stout for Valik is going to the Innskeeper of nearby Tarren Mills and buying it for less than 2s.

Beware though, I've seen Valik aggro me when I came back to give him the stout.&nbsp Just kill him and wait for him to respawn.&nbsp He'll go back to being friendly (learned his lesson, didn't he?).

The Southshore Stout can be picked up from the Drunken Footpad, who wanders around the Syndicate Camp.

If you gank the Drunken Footpad he drops the stout you need for Varik.

Teh easiest quest ever.

In the camp north of Tarren Mill just do what the othre guy said. Kill the Drunken footpad, it will drop the item for que Valik's quest (270xp lvl 32) and then just deliver Infiltration quest (2700xp lvl 32 + 100 rep with Orgrimmar)

I just did the quest with hated Syndicate rep, Your Syndicate faction rep. does not effect this quest.

Edit: If he is not friendly to you do the following:
Kill him and then wait for him to respawn.

If anyone does this quest and does not kill him after the quest is complete he will attack everyone.

Maybe somebody can help me, but I can't interact with Valik at all. He's friendly to me, but when I mouse over him I don't get an exclamation point, and when I right-click on him nothing happens. My Syndicate rep is "Hated," but I know other people have gotten the quest at hated rep. I've tried disabling my mods, and tried him again after a server restart, but I still don't get a response. Is there a prereq that's not mentioned on this page? Maybe it's my breath?

EDIT: Turns out I didn't have the quest "Infiltration" from Krusk. Once I had that quest in my log, I was able to talk to Valik.

You must have the quest Infiltration! before he will talk to you.

If you must have Infiltration, then this is a Horde Quest.

Might as well test your mettle when doing the Syndicate Assassins Quest (Alliance), and kill Valik for practice.

u can get the stout for this while your looking for the missive just by killing the drunken footpads, extra xp is a bonus *shrugs*

As I tried to get the quest, I was jumped by a Footpad. Which dropped the Missive. This is a pretty useless quest.

I got the quest from him, a syndicate attacked me, and it dropped a syndicate missive, so no point in doing that quest, really.

Just another way to get the Syndicate Missive...if it fails to drop...i got off of drop and then picked this up...only had one Missive in my inv...pick one and get it done quickly...remeber to bring the Stout from the Inn Keeper in TM...
