Retrieve the Demon Box from Thunder Axe Fortress, and return it, along with the Demon Pick to Taiga Wisemane in Shadowprey Village.

Description

The Burning Blade possesses the Demon Box. Within it lies the powerful Hand of Iruxos. The Burning Blade uses it to open demonic portals at Mannoroc Coven. We must stop the tide of demons entering our world, <name>!

Use this demon pick on the red crystal in Thunder Axe Fortress to gain access to the Demon Box.

entrance at 56,29 in desolace - actual crystal at 55,26 - lvl 37 demon pops out - be sure to kill all the mobs 1st

Lots of level 30-32 mobs around some spellcasters.&nbsp Basically you go in the front gate of the fortress, straight up through the front door of the biggest building, around the circular corridor, and into&nbsp the main room.&nbsp By this time, unless you can stealth, there are probably a dozen dead bodies in your wake.&nbsp Inside the main room are another 8 or so.&nbsp The crystal is in the middle whack it with your pickaxe and a level 37 demon presents itself to be dismembered.
The hand is loot on the demon's body.

Go into Thunder Axe Fortress and in the middle of the first big building, you will find a large red crystal. Clear all the enemies in the room then use the crystal. A level 37 demon will appear. Defeat this demon to get the box.

This quest is listed 38 but I did it easily as a 33 Druid. You can sneak past all of the mobs outside and clear the room. Don't forget the pat that travels around the whole place, including passing through this room.

I started with my HoT's on me, went cat and DPS'd, got DoTs on him, poped out to renew HoTs and went bear form for the remainder of the fight, popping out to HoT when needed.

Do not throw away the demon pick if you start running low on inventory - it is a necessary component to completing the quest, and she will not give you another unless you destroy the demon box.

solo'd as 35 undead warlock, but I died once because of not being careful. Mobs around the stone are well hidden actually,a pvp night elf was there also, some undeads (actually they seemed friendly to me :/), some guys sitting or kneeled down..etc. So, just open your eyes, do not bind your vision to the red stone before you kill all the mobs. And the demon.. Yea he's hugeee but really really easy :D

Super easy solo with a 33 affliction lock. Just voidwalker tanked and kept the dots up, needed one health funnel

OK this is for those whom have lost, sold, or dropped the pick. Abandon quest then return to the village where you first recieved the quest and accept it again. You will get a new pick. It is just that simple. :D

Solo'd as a 33 Rogue, the Demon Crystal is in the biggest building in the fortress, easy to find. Clear the room before picking at the crystal, because a 37 Mob pops out (wasn't expecting that) but luckily just flicked on Evasion and used a Greater Healing Potion.

Solo'd as a 34 Shaman. I had agility and greater defense potion buffs, dropped a Magma totem, and wailed on him. Ended up using 1 health pot, but other than that pretty easy. I had about 30% life remaining.

solo'd as 34 warrior

you can 1v1 or 1v2 the lowbies outside and in the halls inside - hopefully you have a ranged weapon of some kind

the central room of the compound is filled with mages that will all agro on you at once when you step inside the chamber

you can pull them one by one from the two entries into the chamber by looking in from the extreme edges of the doorways, and attacking with a ranged weapon

once you've hit a mage, immediately run back out into the hallway, and around a corner, so the mage must come to you - splat

do this till the room is clear, then click the crystal (at full health), and pound away on the demon that appears

if you are lucky, you might get him without using a pot. if you are unlucky, like I was, and miss-streak like crazy, you'll need a pot

not a hard fight at all either way, just have to be cautious on the way in and out

This one is super easy just as soon as you get into the room. Not that getting in is hard, just that you realize how to do it. Though, for the slower people, here it is:

Enter Fortress at 55.28 or so (MetaMap coords) and then either stealth passed everything or just pwn it. If you have waited till the quest was yellow, pwning this *!@# will be no problem. Anyways, once you get to the room that is in the center of the fortress you will see the stone thingy. If you are a melee class, since these guys are casters (guarding it) you will need to agro one or two (whichever works for you) and run behind one of the walls that leads into the room so they cannot attack, making them run up to you. Then just pwn them. If you are a caster, just attack them. As for the stone, the guy that jumps out is a 37 Demon. Rogues don't bother vanishing, he is easy. Just use your tactics of fighting level 37 Demons, and end the quest.

Followed shomizu's directions and completed it with a 33 priest, the hardest part was the 37 demon at the end, i only just survived on 10% since my wand resisted most of the last damage :P

Man. This was really easy. Soloed it with my lvl 34 UD warrior. Cleared the room, where the Demon was located, then hacked the hell out of him with my whirlwind axe. Used retal and a healing potion.
