Description

Long ago, the Highborne were some of the most powerful students of the arcane the night elves ever produced. The corruption that comes along with such studies caused much harm to night elf society and greatly affected all of Azeroth... as I'm sure you well know.

I promised the Sentinels that I would release the spirits from their mortal bonds as I find them. If you would do the same, then I am sure I can reward you some.

The spirits haunt the Shadowsong Shrine to the northeast of here.

This quest is attainable at lvl 45. The npc also gives this quest which is also attainable at lvl 45.

Hey guys, something isn't right. I'm Killing Highborne Lichlings and Apparition like the quest says, but whenever i kill one, it doesn't count towards the quest. Anyone know whats going on? I've tried relogging and everything. Tips appreciated.

There is also a ghost that spawns here that drops some nice greens. I got 3 greens on the first kill, then ran around to get some more for the quest and when I came back down the hill it had respawned already, killed it again and got another green. I don't know what the name of the ghost was but it worth keeping an eye out for when you're doing this quest.

I just killed it again, the name is "Varo' then's Ghost" and it spawns at 17.8, 69.4 definitely worth looking out for, drops at least one green each time.

I just killed him and he's not an elite, but he does drop a lot of loot and a green almost every time.
