A Land Filled with Hatred

Kill 6 Haldarr Satyr, 2 Haldarr Tricksters, 2 Haldarr Felsworn and then return to Loh'atu on the border of Ashenvale.

Description

The satyr, a disfigured, evil aspect of the night elves, now infect the sacred lands once traveled by Cenarius. I cannot speak for the night elves when it comes to all the atrocities those demonic creatures have committed, but I have sworn an oath to the Earthmother to aid the elves in ridding the land of such a nuisance.

I am sure you would prove yourself if you aided me in purging them.

Northeast of here, you can find the Haldarr clan. Return to me after you've tested yourself against their power.

for the ones who don't /tloc (including myself) Can anyone give a general Direction from the Start of the quest. or a General Location, from the Middle of Azshara. :-)

21,61 were the exact coordinates. It didn't take long at all. Just a touch of running around to find the right types of mobs.

As of 2.0.8 nothing has changed.

When I arrived on the scene there was a full complement of mobs but only 1 Satyr (yes, I checked the whole place).

* Killed everything on top of the encampment and 2 Satyrs respawned
* Did it again and 3 Satyrs respawned

Look, any quest that relies on you killing the same mobs over and over is poorly designed.&nbsp At least the respawn time is fast.

This could be an extremely annoying (instead of moderately annoying) quest for a lower level solo, since it would take so long to clear the place to get respawns and there's a decent chance of getting killed by a mob respawning at an inopportune moment.

PLEASE do remember to group with anyone and everyone doing this (or similar) quests at the time, even if you can easily solo.&nbsp A group will finish this in no time even with unpredictable spawn percentages, and there's no sense fighting over mobs.

I've killed many satyrs, but their number stopped increasing in my questlog @ 3/6 ... I like bugs.

There's not much to this quest, the satyrs just have a ridiculously low spawn rate considering that you have to kill them the most. Took me about 40 min. with my lvl 46 hunter. Just keep killing the Felsworn and Tricksters and the satyrs will (eventually) spawn.

The Satyrs are really uncommon in the spots listed.... im still curently looking for a better spot however i think those ruin areas are the only place, either i came at the wrong time or there a slow respawner.

Yeah, spawn rate issues are still there. 2 days in a row I came to this spot and cleared all the Haldarr in the area, I got 2 satyrs yesterday, and 1 today. waiting for respawns takes forever!

there are satyrs everywhere once you go up the ramp.&nbsp this was one of the few quests i did where i didn't have to kill more than was required of me.&nbsp done at lv 51 in about 5 minutes.

Shared spawnpoints means that the different types of mobs will spawn randomly. When I did this quest on my 50 rogue, there were plenty of satyrs (lucky me) and the lock-mobs, but no tricksters... I killed off all the mobs and waited for respawns. I was done in approximately 10 minutes.

If the mob-type you need isn't to be found, then all you need to do, is to kill them all (even the mobs you dont need anymore) and wait for repops. It's quite simple isn it?

This quest is different for different people.&nbsp I had a horrible Satyre respawn rate as well.&nbsp 20 mins.&nbsp 1 spawned for me.

What Ever you heared about this quest being hard is a bunch of crap, this quest is one of the most easy quest i have ever done. only stalling in this quest is finding the last satyr. Took me about 15-25 min.

Have done this quest twice with two chars. First time I did it at 45, had no problem finding all the right spawns.

Did it again today on my 46, spent 30 minutes getting all the satyrs, who were just not spawning fast enough.

You can tell me, "you're on crack" or "you weren't looking in the right area," but the fact is: I was. I obviously successfull did the quest 3 weeks earlier on a different char.

The spawn rate varies.

this was easy at 52 knocked it out in about 5 min
easy to find once U know where to look it is right across the road from the furbogs and they are easy and enough for ne run to complete with out waiting for respon

49 Orc Warrior did it in 10 minutes.&nbsp I used the coords above.&nbsp It's a temple on the map.&nbsp When I got there, there was only 3 Satyr.&nbsp When I went on to kill the Felsworm and Trickster 3 more Satyr spawned.&nbsp So after you kill all you can just wait for the spawns.&nbsp It's not long before they come.

Found a chest with some great stuff 5 superior healing potions + moonberry juice X2, 4 X 1392 heatlth foods. Chest is at 20,62, up the road into ruins and go right it is around the corner. This quest was to time consuming for me, waiting on the satrys but..the chest was great and it was not to hard.

4400 XP at lvl 51...

BTW when killing the felsworn kill the stupid imp first that little bugger dies easy but he packs a walop if left alive. Kill him and the felsworn is easy!

The secret is you have to kill almost every mob. This way, satyrs will spawn in their place. Took me around 15 mins

Both quests Loh'atu offer are just minor quests really but worth the 15-20mins. Earned 8400xp at Lev52 for both quests, plus about another 15k xp for all kills.
Just clear the Haldarr and you laughing. If your game - kill a couple Thunderheads and the Lev52 elite Giant that roams the area too. Well worth the time. I got a decent green drop too.

After this head north of Haldarr to Valormok to continue the chain quests that brought you here in the first place and get the flight path!

Found the respawn pattern. Killing Satyrs respawn Felsworn killing them respawn Tricksters and killing them respawn Satyrs

Satyrs --> Felsworn --> Tricksters --> Satyrs (rinse and repeat)

There are a total of 4 Satyr that spawn in this area if you dont have anyone competing with you. So kill them go do something else for a few minutes and come back when they respawn or just grind.

16 61 is one and the other 3 are around 20 63
