The materials needed to make a cloak are 5 Heavy leather and 2 Fine thread. Leatherworkers with 150+ can make it for you.

Coordinates are 46/32 for the entrance of the cave. Yetis are lvls 30-31 with some 32. I soloed with my lvl 32 shammie.
Great quest for skinners, you get to skin the yetis!

Just click the link on the Yeti Fur up above and the site will show you what mobs drop it and where to find them (if you click the map link next to the mob's name).

The yetis are the highest level mobs out in Hillsbrad.. I suggest 30+

If done while quest is non-gray, you also get 60 Stormwind rep, 15 Ironforge, 15 Gnomeregan.

1. To being this quest, talk to Bartolo Ginsetti in Southshore ([yellow]Coordinates are 49, 56 - Hillsbrad Foothills[/yellow]).

2. Head north from Southshore until you reach the fork. Contiune on north, but move west just a little. You should reach the Darrow Hill ([yellow]Coordinates are 46,32 - Killsbrad Foothills[/yellow]).

3. Outside, you can find [red]Cave Yeti's[/red] (Levels 25 - 31), while inside are [red]Ferocious Yeti's[/red] (Levels 26 - 32).

4. Kill as many as you need to get 10 Yeti Fur's.

Note: You can only get this drop if the tagging character has the quest.

5. Gather a Bolt of Woolen Cloth and a Hillman's Cloak. Taliors can create the Bolt of Woolen Cloth, and Leatherworkers can create the Hillman's Cloak.

6. Return to Southshore. Locate Micha Yance ([yellow]Coordinates are 46, 55 - Killsbrad Foothills[/yellow]), the Trade Goods vender for the Fine Thread.

7. Turn in the quest to [green]Bartolo Ginsetti[/green], who you got it from.

I did this as a level 30 warlock. It was easy enough, although the drop wasen't the greatest. As a skinner I benifited, since most were skinniable for heavey and medium leather. I was also able to create the Hillmans Cloak and a Guild member created the bolt of woolen cloth for me. The cloak isen't the best, but I wouldn't pass up the easy experiance and reputation.

The drop rate is okay, just watch out for other Horde going into the cave where
the Yeti's are.

Also, if there are too many Horde in the cave, head upwards past the cave
into the Alterac Mountains where the there are white Yetis; they also drop
the Fur but they're higher level so just be careful.
The other stuff you need for the quest are easy to get but the Cloak maybe a little tricky.

Honestly, I didn't really think this quest was that great since I had a better cloak before I did the quest. I did it anyway for the experience...

The Bolt of Woolen Cloth can be picked up for free while you are in the Yeti cave Norht of SS.&nbsp You there killing yeti anyway....when you go into cave, go to upper level (so right).&nbsp Chest is at the very end and has the bolt in it.

Im a LW and I traded a hillman's cloak for a bolt of woolen cloth from a tailorer, easy.
Yeti fur has a great drop rate, found halfway between hillsbrad fields and tauren mill, /mntloc 46,33

Easiest quest Ive ever done!

Yeti's surround the growless cave at loc 37,68 in Alterac Mountains. Approx lev 32 -35 .

I have all of the items and my quest log shows completed, yet when I speak to bartolo the 'continue' button is greyed out, has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on a solution?

Buy the cloaks, I make a fortune off of them. I make them just to sell at the AH, so, those who do buy the cloak, thank you!
And for a hunter, The yeti cloak is nice, and better than one I have right now. Currently I'm lvl 29, so I have to wait a few more lvls before I can use it. Also, the XP is nice.

Reward sucks, do this for the 250 SW rep so you dont have to get a damn ugly ass mammoth/elephant thing, if you're draenei of course :D

where can i find Yeti Fur plz

i got my fur around 10 mins... maybe less

I hate them.

Invariably its a situation where you end up paying more for the mats than you can possibly get for the quest, or you end up panhandling friends to make one for you and that's just not kosher after learning that the culture of MMORPGS of self-reliance and teamwork....

If it's a quest that rewards all, fine, but if its a just for me quest, why should I expect a friend to drop what they are doing and make a grey item so that I can complete a quest.

I hate being a bum, a begger or panhandling. Its cheapens the game. They don't belong in any game.

If I had read the quest carefully, and knew I would have to do this I would not accept it.

Where is the best place to find this?

The item listing says it is best as a drop off of a mob in Desolace. Is there a better/closer place to Bartolo for this?

I killed lots and lots of Yetis (both kinds) and never got a drop of the woolen cloth.

Suggestions?

I found that the Giant Yeti's drop fur more often than Moutain ones.

I completed this quest as a level 30 Night Elf Hunter.

I got this from the Trade Goods vendor in Southshore. You can find him at 48,54 inside of the building just south of the Gryphon Master. It costs 90 copper.

Bolt of Woolen Cloth & Hillman's Cloak
You can get both of these from the Auction House for only a small amount of money.
Or you can get someone who does Tailoring to make you a Bolt of Woolen Cloth and get someone who does Leather working to make you the Hillman's Cloak.

Not sure why others had problems with the yeti fur drops. I went to the cave North of Southshore and killed exactly 18 of the yeti inside and outside the cave to get my 10 fur. Perhaps I was extremely lucky, but great quest for the amount of effort.

It was an easy one, get help from somenone for the wool and the cloak, the yeti's were easy, did it at a level 31 human paladin.

by the time i found the yetis, i was lvl 34 and had a way better cloak, it isnt very good

Is it true the drop rate for yeti fur is only 5%? If so you need to kill 200 yetis to get the 10 pieces of fur!

The cave is @ 46,32 in Hillsbrand. This is one cave that is safe to solo in. All the Yeti are very evenly spread out so that you don't get mobbed. You can pick em off one at a time. I cleared cave in 20 min and got all my furs in the process. [Lvl 30 Warlock].

Which auction house has the Hillman's cloak? The one in Stormwind does not.

that cave has a very easy drop rate for the furs. I found 9 in about 25 kills last night, will go back tonight for the last one.

I NEED THAT CLOAK! :( cant find it..:(

Only killed approx 40 yeti's to get 10 fur, I never went into the cave only killed what's outside the cave.
Got 2700 exp at lvl 29 warlock.
Bought cloak and bolt on the AH.
Easy quest just pay attention to beasts behind you who like to jump in every now and again.

I al ready have a better cloak, is it worth completeing this quest for the XP at 34 and the npc sale price of the cloakor should i bag it rather than hunt down the other items i have the fur but not the rest of it.

Did this quest at lvl 35 (NE Druid). It was one of the easyest quests I've done. Took me about 30min!

I even got me some Horde kills! =)

I got the bolt of woolen cloth & the hillman's cloak from a guild member, they yeti fur was a rather fast drop rate, and the fine thread was an easy buy from a tradesman npc.

What's the deal? I have everything required for the quest and it won't let me turn it in. The tab at the bottom won't allow me to click on it.

I got the bolt of woolen cloth out of a chest I fished out of the water near Southshore (been getting linen and woolen cloth bolts out of chests since Longshore in Westfall but usually just sent them to Tailor friends or put them in the AH). A LW friend sent me the Hillman's Cloak, but didn't actually tell me what it was for (just said I'd need it around lvl 30). Thread you can buy from any Genral Goods or Tradesman NPC, usually. Went to the Yeti Cave to get the fur and have been going back there semi-regularly for three levels. I still get decent xp for the yetis and there are almost always some mineral veins/deposits in the cave (Mostly Iron and usually one Mithril at a time. I got a Gold Vein there ONCE and saw a Truesilver there ONCE (but my Mining was too low to harvest it. Argh!). Great place to grind and it gets a lot of traffic (mostly Blood Elf and Night Elf groups, it seems). The yetis are fairly well placed (I occasionally pull a second one while fighting the first but I haven't died yet).

Yeti Fur - Go north of Southshore and a bit west to Darrow Hill where the yetis live. Lots o fur!
Fine thread - the guy right behind Bartolo in his house sells this.
Hillman's Cloak - Ask chat if theres a leatherworker who would sell this or go to the AH.
Bolt of Wool Cloth - Ask chat or buy from AH.
