Take the Lieutenant's Insignia to Neeru Fireblade and speak to him. Gauge if he believes you are a member of the Burning Blade and then return to Thrall in Orgrimmar.

Description

Now let us see if this insignia you found is worth the effort.

There is a warlock within the city who believes he has my trust. He does not know that I realize where his true loyalties lie. He is in fact the leader of the Burning Blade. But do not rush off to do battle with him; he has a purpose, and we shall use him against our enemies.

Take this insignia to him in the Cleft of Shadow here in Orgrimmar, speak to him and see if he believes you are one of his own, then return to me here.

Neeru Fireblade is found at 49,50 in the Cleft of Shadows in Orgrimmar. To get there you need to enter from The Drag. He is in a hut just outside the Ragefire Chasm instance portal.

Initiate chat with Neeru and click on the conversation option that is available. One you have your little chat with him you should get quest completed. Once this is done, return to Thrall and hand this quest in.

Finishing this quest is a prerequisite for Hidden Enemies --> https://classicdb.ch/?quest=5728

At least as of 10-Aug-2007 this is not the first quest in the chain. The first quest is to go into Skull Rock and get the Lieutenant's Insignia and bring it back to Thrall.

Quest level is 12. I'm having problems with my warrior in killing the Warlock apprentices, but no Lieutenants are within the first turn or two. I was able to complete Skull Rock (http://classicdb.ch/?quest=827) without much difficulty.

Hmmm, I finally found this place (couldn't really understand what the quest was talking about at the start :P Anyway, I didn't actually read ir properly so I killed everything on my way down the cave, I took the first right which will put you on the lower level. I thought this would be better because I asumed I would have to kill a boss and been on the top level means I can kill him if he is there, or just jump down and kill him there. Anyway, make sure u take your first right. Ok this are getting a little confusing so...

First of all obviasly u do this quest with a 5% average drop rate. Thats simple. Just kill the standard people.

But if you continue to head down there is a boss (level 14, Warlock) he is in a really anoying position and its quite hard to kill him by your self, but I killed him and got another quest. It tells me to go somewhere, dunno where it will lead. But the quite item I got looks kewl, may be I will get some good :D hehehe.

I killed him as a level 13 Warrrior

Wow, now i feel like i got really lucky, before i had even read the quest all the way through i got to the cave, killed one guy, and there it was. After reading everyone elses i guess i just got lucky.

just before the darn game froze and kicked me out - incidentially the guy who dropped it was at the very entrance so no need to risk it solo in the more mob packed areas inside... just hoping it's still with me when I finally manage to get logged back in! (fingers & toes crossed)

i have the item but for some reason i dont have the quest... i probably abandoned it but for me it was very easy to find it. I wasnt in the right place but i found it while i was killing fizzle and his followers.

I thought this part of the quest was after the cave? I found the guy, but it won't continue my quest...

Ok I finally figured it out. You have to talk to him, and tell him he can speak freely... Then you click on the little chat bubble in the text. It's at the bottem. Then you continue the conversation, until the end where it finally says you guage his ... whatever it was called.

He is located at: 50,50

Neeru Fireblade - the guy you get the quest for RFC from, just outside the instance.... Will not show on mini-map, you have to "talk" to him.
