Slaying the Beast

Enter Ragefire Chasm and slay Taragaman the Hungerer, then bring his heart back to Neeru Fireblade in Orgrimmar.
Taragaman the Hungerer's Heart

Description

The primary task set upon me by our great Warchief is to root out the creatures responsible for infesting our lord's great city with demonic influence. The Burning Blade is one threat, but there are others; the Searing Blade for instance, who make their home in Ragefire Chasm, secretly attempting to subvert innocent members of the Horde.

If they are to be stopped, then their leader must be slain--a Felguard named Taragaman the Hungerer.

Kill him, and his heart will appease Thrall, of this I'm sure.

Be sure to lure him off the rock bridge before you go to fight him as he CAN throw you into the lava surrounding it, which spells instant death.&nbsp I tried this quest 3 times in 3 different groups, both the first 2 times we failed.&nbsp Our successful group consisted of 2 tauren shamans, 2 rogues, and a hunter.&nbsp With the exception of one of the shamans and one of the rogues who were nearing level 20, everyone in the party was below level 15.&nbsp Also, be sure to kill all of the surrounding searing/burning blade cultists before you pick your fight with him as they are all elites and any one of them could easily take on 2 level 15 or lower players.&nbsp Last but not least, do not attempt to go into RFC without a healer or 2 in your party unless you know of a way to deal massive amounts of damage without taking any yourself.&nbsp Have rogues in your party to recon the place before you turn blind corners, and do NOT have anyone just rush into groups or else everyone will probably die.&nbsp You need to pull the NPCs in here away from their groups and have your group take them on one at a time or else you won't make it out alive.

This quest is kind of hard when you have all 13-15 like i did once. He does major damage and he owns. The warrior was our highest lvl and he pretty much did his work but poor priest, he fell in lava T_T lava = bad

So long as you don't fall in the lava he's manageable. Make sure you have a decent healer though. I did it sole healing as a druid with an all 13 group and managed fine.

If you are a clothy you will want a tank and/or healer with you. did this with my 20 mage, a 16 lock and a 24 pally. we where fine till the pally died. and its so easy to get aggroed.

What is the recommended number of people? Could a lv16 pally and lv15 warlock do it?

One of our members died while fighting him so he couldn't get the item. We waited for about half an hour and the guy didnt respawn. We're thinking he only spawns once per instance of the dungeon.

How do I reset the instance so all respawn?

To reset an instance you have to make sure everyone exits it, then disband the party and reform it. Reenter the instance, and voilà a completely new copy of the instance has spawned. Be warned though, this is effectively starting it all over, meaning you'll have to fight all the bosses and mobs again. But since that's what you want, it's not a bad thing, is it? :)
