I think it's a panda or the other pet, you can only get from the collecters edition

It is for the collector's edition. Every character gets one on a collectors edition account. You get to chose from a Mini Diablo, a Mini Zergling, or a Panda. They follow you around like any other pet, and are summoned by an inventory item given to you upon completion.

The persons to deliver the gift to is located a few feet away from the place your character starts, and gets a yellow "?" as a normal quest NPC, once you have taken the quest.

In classic, this quest will only be available to those who purchased the original WoW collectors edition and have it tied to their account.
