The Dunemaul Compound

Andi Lynn in Gadgetzan wants you to destroy the Dunemaul Compound by killing 10 Dunemaul Brutes, 10 Dunemaul Enforcers, and Gor'marok the Ravager.
  •
Dunemaul Brute slain (10)
  •
Dunemaul Enforcer slain (10)
  •
Gor'marok the Ravager slain

Description

Just recently, a large band of nomadic ogres arrived in Tanaris. South of here, they have taken over a large area of the desert and formed a compound. Several smaller bands are currently wandering the desert, some of which have invaded the old troll ruins.

The Dunemaul Compound must be destroyed! We cannot allow these ogres to build up a force.

The leader of this band is named Gor'marok the Ravager; I believe that putting an end to his leadership will be the beginning of the end for the ogres.

Gor'marok the Ravager is about 41,57 in Tanaris
the Dunemaul Brute and Dunemaul Enforcer are all around 40, 52 in Tanaris.

For those who dont use cords, Almsot due south of sandsorrow watch (and a little bit to the east)

4550 XP and an increase in Gadgetzan reputation for this. This was still yellow at level 49 but was very easy I agree with the other posters here that this is probably easy several levels earlier.

Completed as a 47 Rogue.
Quest was quite simple, just clear the guys
surrounding Gor'Marok's cave, enter, then
solo the guy. No body guards or anything.
Location os Gor'Marok: 41 , 59 (Cosmos).
Experience: 4,550

This area is also a good grinding area for level 47. The Dunemaul guys don't seem to agro each other very easily, so it is a good place to solo and just take them out one at a time. They mostly drop Mageweave and money. The boss is not an elite, so he can be soloed as well.

Just SW of Abyssmal Sands is Dunemaul Compound. Enforcers and Brutes are on the outside of the compound and they range in level from 46-48. Single pulling was easy at level 47. To the South of the camp Gor'marok the Raveger spawns in a cave. The cave is not deep at all, in fact you can see him from outside the cave. The ogres outside are easy to single kill. This quest is easy to solo at level 47.

Im lvl 47 SHaman.&nbsp Solo'd this no problem.&nbsp You can pull the ogres one at a time, even though they're huge size makes them look like they'll come in groups.&nbsp The named guy is in that cave, so walk around down to there, clear out the 3 or so ogres in front of it, get him, then get whatever Brutes/Enforcers you still need. Boss wasn't tough.&nbsp

solo'd this quest

for the quest, stay on the edge of the camp. there are plenty of ogers patrolling alone, go for these.

for the boss, if you can't sneak into the cave (rogue, druid) take out the 3 ogers on one side of the cave, that gives you enough room to go in. it looks like the ogers are too close to each other, but that's because of their size. pull, kill, rep. 3x. then take out the boss, he's lvl49 but i've also seen him once as lvl50

the only problem i had, is having to wait for the boss to respawn cos all the time allies and hordies were in just before me.

for those without cosmos, the place to be is some rock all the way south from gadgetstan, past the desert in the middle of the map. the camp is based around the rock, the cave is inside.

well it's in tanaris lvl 49 quest which u get off of&nbsp a gnome in the north east corner of gadgetzan co-ords are 40,58 (for the dunemaul compound) (if u don't have khaos then it is south and slightly west of gadgetzan) boss is in a cave gaurded did it with rogue (me) and hunter both lvl 45, easy. it is a lvl 49 quest for a good reason, which is that the boss IS lvl 49 but still easy with 2 players

For the people here for info, and not stupid people saying they soloed... the location of the Compound is
(40,54). If you dont have the titan panel, its south west of gadgetzan, basicly in the middle of Tanaris. Cant miss it

Gahz'ridian or how ever it's spelled, is a nice go along quest with this. There are a few of the things you're looking for in this area.

Also, if there are quite a few people farming these, or trying to complete this quest, you can head south a bit to the ruins there. That is a fairly unpopulated area to do both quests, with the exception of Gor'marok.

Thanks to everyone's input on this, I decided to try soloing it as a level 45 druid.&nbsp Right on!

It worked!&nbsp The boss doesn't have any guards and is in the cave alone, you just sneak past the boxes, kill him, then return outside to kill the others for the quest.&nbsp Definitely doable for a druid who can heal when necessary.

Soloed with a 46 undead mage. If you're having trouble getting to the cave go around back - there's no ogres behind it. Sneak around the top and drop down like a ninja.

Gor'marok the Ravager is at 41,58

Everyone else is in that area... Somewhere.

Killed him as 48 mage.
He was pretty easy, my mana shield was still holding after the fight.

Brute and enforcer -> 47,65
Gor'marok -> can be at the same loc as the Brutes,
but he can be in the cave -> 40,57

This is a very easy quest as a lvl 49 elemental/resto shaman!

You can find brutes and enforcers at 40,57 too.

did it solo as lvl 46 warlock.. Used felhunter sarcrifice. No need for a minion. Used fear all the time, the mobs are seperated enough.

Gor'marok is easy when you climb on his cave and sneak thourgh the entrance no need of fighting the guards.

This took me 20 minutes with a lvl49 Elemental Specced Mage.

Started out northeast of compound, took out to guys on the way to the entrance, sheeped one at entrance and went in, 10-15 seconds later Gor Marok is dead so I go out again and kill the sheep. After this its just a matter of easy grinding to get the rest of the guys bagged.

Easy xp and fun quest :)

Difficult for a 46 druid to do to get the group of guards out of the entrance, but I managed it, only had to fight two at once once, and it wasn't too bad.

Careful of enforcers who look low level but hit much faster and harder.

Soloed whole thing as a 45 priest in about 15-20 mins. I snuck into gor'maroks cave from behind, then in shadow form, vampiric embrace, SWP, mind blast, mind flay, PWS, and repeat, had over 75% health when I killed him.

Solo'd as a 46 Warrior - easy as anything.

Just circled around the camp from outside pulling what I needed, then I sneaked into the camp and took out his 2 bodyguards. Then charged him with retaliation (although didnt need it) and Herioic Striked him into oblivion.

Brutes can be a pain because they knock you down
I used combustion+pyroblast on Gor-marok at max distance and that took down about 1/3 his hp at once
He does hit very hard tho so i had to use one pot

Found a huge camp of Dunemaul Brutes and Enforces at 40,51. They are pretty easy to pull.

Gor'marok the Ravager is in a cave at 41,57. You don't have to complete the first parts of the quest at the beginning area because there are plenty of Brutes and Enforcers surrounding the area.

I just managed to solo this at 45 as a blood elf rogue, I went straight for the boss and died once becuase I wasnt taking care, then I came back and made sure I took him this time, it was close, but I still had him.

The allies where more of a pain, but some were fine and left me alone, I the rest of the quest seemed easy after the boss was out of the way.

The cords above are dead on, and you should attack the mobs from outside the camp and pul, them one by one quite easyily.

Good Luck :)
