The Singing Crystals

Bring 3 Pulsing Blue Shards to Kin'weelay at the Grom'gol Base Camp.

Description

Legends tell of a jewel, hidden deep in the heart of Stranglethorn. We call it the Mind's Eye, and it has great powers. If you gain this Eye then, perhaps, we can use it to bring lost Yenniku back from the darkness.

I will consult with the spirits of the jungle to find the Mind's Eye. While I do this, you enter the Crystalvein Mine, southeast of here, and gather Pulsing Blue Shards from Ironjaw Basilisks. The shards are rare, but we will need their magic to bend the Mind's Eye to our will.

The actual cave entrance is at 41.50. I took the right passage and killed about 10 to 15 mobs for the 3 crystals - so the drop rate is more than Anonymous is showing.

From the road at 38.47 you can go to the cave entrance at 41.50. The area outside is littered with Thrashtail Basilisk - these are not the ones you want. Inside the cave you'll find the quest mobs - Ironjaw Basilisks. The quest giver states that the crystals are rare, but I got 3 in 4 kills. Either I'm very lucky, or they've changed the drop rate significantly.

The quest says "Although the crystals are rare," however the 3 i needed dropped off the first three basilisks inside the cave. Remember, don't expect them to drop off of the basilisks outside of the cave, or you will waste much time and possibly rested experience. The entrance to the cave is at 41, 50.

Listen, people.&nbsp This is probably one of the easiest drop quests I have had to do.&nbsp Whoever says that the drop rate sucks, is an idiot.&nbsp Go INSIDE THE CAVE.&nbsp Once inside, kill the Ironjaw Basilisks.&nbsp I killed three of them and guess what?&nbsp Three shards dropped!

Imagine that.

If... you're in the right place.
As everyone says, outside the cave you get nothing.&nbsp inside it's a 1 for 1 drop.
Ludicrously easy quest even at level 42 (hunter).

The exact cords are 37.0 -48.7 Going south toward BB just before you go through the stone Archway it will be on your left and a sign will be stuck in the ground stating Danger! Crystalvien Mine Closed.And I made 4 kills and got 3 Crystals.

The cave is at location 42,49 not where Savorn had mentioned and you will be looking for Ironjaw Basilisks

I must have been very lucky then, I got all 3 crystals on the first 3 basilisks I killed. When I read the comment on worst droprate I had settled myself for a long farming session.

thing to note is that the quest mobs hit ridiculously hard for their level

level 43s were hitting my prot paladin for 80-160 . Level 44 humanoids hit me for 25-50 in comparison..
