Training the Beast

Speak with Holt Thunderhorn on Hunter Rise in Thunder Bluff.

Description

You now have the power to tame a pet, but you must also gain the skills to train it.

Travel to Thunder Bluff. There you must speak to one of our most revered hunters, Holt Thunderhorn. If he deems you worthy, he will give you the ability to train your new pet.

Holt has bested the most powerful and feared beasts of Azeroth, and commands many strong creatures of his own. His ties to the Earthmother are strong, and you can learn much from him. Good luck, <name>.

Abandon the quest and talk to the quest giver again. As with almost all quests, if you fail, abandon the quest and get again. :) hope this helps. GL

You have to train a "Swoop" not a wiry swoop.&nbsp They are very hard to train since they love to knock you on your ass.&nbsp Good Luck!

I was able to tame the swoop, but then my taming wand disappeared.&nbsp How do I get another one so that I can tame another beast?

Does anyone have a good pet in mulgore at lvl 10 for a tauren hunter? I mean besides the rake, that is. it'd be nice to have a professional's opinion on it

I have completed all of the tamings, traveled to tb & completed all those quests, & still did not get taming rod.&nbsp Any ideas.

I could not finish the 3rd part where you train a swoop - used all 3 charges and then could not get the quest giver to do anything. I destoryed the taming rod thinking I could redo the quest, but he still will not let me do the quest.

Any advice?

i was doing awesome....then i found a swoop....it kept saying "invalid target"
