A Husband's Last Battle

Kill Overlord Ror and return his claw to Dreka'Sur at Bloodvenom Post in Felwood.
Overlord Ror's Claw

Description

My husband traveled Felwood for the honor of our clan, doing battle against the Shadow Council and other corrupt atrocities!

After he escaped death numerous times, I received a letter from him saying that a druid asked him for help against a great befouled furbolg named Overlord Ror--the two were never heard from again.

I want this Ror's clawed hand, <name>. I want it to pay for leaving me a widow! I believe the creature is to the south... near the Ashenvale border.

He is in 48,94 as a LvL51 and with two LvL50 and 49 guards with him.

Easy fight as a hunter, the real reward was the Mithril Deposit just popped after him :)

Thanks,

He is a small grouping of Deadwood creatures at approx 47,93. I'll add a screenshot for all you persons out there.
You might also want to do the quest Timbermaw Ally (https://classicdb.ch/?quest=8460) to get a 2fer whil doing this quest.

Actually, the 'I solo'd it at this level' thing is really helpful. It lets me know whether or not a quest is achievable at my level.

And I'd rather be pretentious than be a jerk )

Ror is found in Deadwood Village, he is with 2 or 3 other lvl 50ish and is relatively easy to take down. I did it alone at lvl 54 mage no problem.

Deadwood village is located southwest of Emerald Sanctuary or as you head into Felwood from the south (Ashenvale) it is on your left or west side of the road.

NOTE: YOU SHOULD HEAD ALL THE WAY NORTH JUST BEFORE WINTERSPRING TO GET THE TIMBERMAW ALLY QUEST. To get to Ror you will kill the bunch that you need for the timebermaw ally quest, so if you want to be efficient, do both at the same time! It's easy.

47,95 is correct.

Ror is a furbolg with about 6 people in the area, you can pick off all but 2 guards and Ror himself.

I soloed him as a 55 hunter, pretty easy, guards were kind of annoying though.

He uses fear a lot so you may want to clear the area.

This guy has a relatively quick respawn rate (about 5 mins) so don't worry if someone has already wiped the area.

He casts terrifying roar which fears you for a few seconds - just be aware you may aggro mobs so take them out around him first. Soloed as fire mage53 np at all.

This quest has been nerfed as all his adds is gone now. So if you just clear the area around him, this quest is now really easy. He still fears you and calls out for aid so the mobs around him will come running if you are lazy and leave them alive. Good luck! =0)

Just completed this earlier (with feral druid 52) today, try and kill the other monsters surrounding him as he calls for aid whilst you fighting him and can make things a little... interesting, other than that he goes down pretty easily

Be sure to complete http://classicdb.ch/?quest=8460 (Timbermaw Ally) whilst in the area so you won't have to return later.

Sapped the gardener to neutralize healer, that pulled the Overlord and one archer on me. Hit evasion and planned to tank him down, loot and vanish.

Went well until he feared me! Luckily I had will of the forsaken to use and only drew 3 adds while running in fear. Used a healing pot, killed him, looted and vanished with almost 300 hit points to spare

Solo'd as 48 prot spec pally. Cleared around him then drew aggro from the side with the 48 gardener. Didn't draw the 49 guard. Smoked the 48 and then just drew Overlord Ror to a spot where his fear didn't cause additional aggro.

Didn't even have to pop lay on hands.

Easy as 52 shaman, killed Ror after a critical windfury and earth shock. Then I activated defilers talisman and obliterated the other two guards with plain melee. Overall, did not lose more than 30% of my health.

first off COORDS- around 48.94 is where you'll find Ror lvl51, in the back with 2 others a 48 and 49 regular mob.&nbsp

For any class other than paladin-
kill everything in front of Ror and come at him from the side. Try to only agro the regular mob first with ranged wep.

For paladins and anyone whose unable to only draw aggro on one mob at a time-
as soon as you aggro run behind them and up the hill as far as possible.&nbsp Ror uses fear alot- at that location when he fears you'll either attempt to run up the hill or around in the empty area by the hill.&nbsp without drawing additional aggro.

Im a lvl 49 ret spec'd pally and without the only ranged attack (prot spec w/ 40pts) I found that this is pretty much the only way to complete this quest without dying.

--bring plenty of health and mana potions and be prepaired to use lay on hands if ur below lvl 50

No problem doing this as a 48 warlock. I came in from the west and did a lil clearing then pulled the gardener on Ror's left. It brought just him and ror. Take down the gardener then Ror. FYI Ror has an AOE fear. It's a short one but keep it in mind.

This is not hard to do solo with a lvl 50 rogue even without subtlety talents.
Make sure you've cleaned the area around the camp, then go behind them and sap Ror. Kill the Garderer first if he is there, since he is the healer and will keep the other furries buffed if left alone. Then kill the other furbolg and finally move onto Ror. Drag him away from the camp toward the mountain range behind it to make sure you won't literally run into problems when he fears you.

I did this as a 47 mage... The best advise I can say is do NOT use frost nova. Only use fire spells. (if you're a fire mage).

Very difficult quest. Everytime I had his healer nearly dead, he started to spam his fear spell like crazy. I recommend bringing a friend along to help as it's impossible to pull the adds off of him. It's him +1 pathfinder and +1 gardener.
