Deadwood of the North

Nafien would like you to kill 5 Deadwood Den Watchers, 5 Deadwood Avengers, and 5 Deadwood Shamans.
  •
Deadwood Den Watcher slain (5)
  •
Deadwood Avenger slain (5)
  •
Deadwood Shaman slain (5)

Description

There is a camp of Deadwood furbolgs directly to our southwest. Corruption permeates the camp, and I wish to put an end to it before they become a problem.

The Deadwood tribe is evil, but it is the effects of the fel that pollutes their minds. Their hostility is not truly an innate quality, yet they cannot be helped. For this reason, I am deeply saddened by having to fight my own brethren.

Please, <name>, do what must be done, and do not mention the details; they upset me far too much.

Okay, after long confusion of reading the posts above, the mobs for Deadwood to the North r next to the NPC that gives the quest (61,9). If you jump down the side, you'll see a camp of 'em. Hope this helps =).

This is a repeatable faction rep quest with the timbermaw furlbogs that becomes available once you've attained friendly reputation with them.

At level 60 it's not worth the time it takes to run back and forth between the deadwoods and Grazle as it only gives an increase of .083% of the amount that you need to get from friendly to honored.

I'm not sure what the trigger was, but when I was level 53 and about halfway through Neutral standing with the Furbolgs, this quest appeared.

BTW, it is much faster to simply stay south and slaughter the Deadwood en masse than it is to hunt 21, ravel 15 minutes back and forth and repeat the quest.

At Neutral, the Furbolgs will speak to me, but only enough to say something along the lines of "[You have shown yourself a friend to a few, but you'll need to do more to prove yourself a Timbermaw Ally]"

Doing the quest in the North (which is harder because of the difficulty of the MoBs (53-55) gives me the same faction increase per kill and per quest turn in as the Timbermaw Ally quest (at least, both say very slight for a kill and slight for a quest turn in).

I'll post more when i make it to friendly.&nbsp No quests or recipes available from the Furbolgs yet.

61,9 puts you right in front of em..I got 150 rep for the q with my 54 hunter...easy kills, just kill den watchers fast or they bring friends..can pick em off at a pretty good rate if you know what ur doin (which by this time you should know how)

i was already honored when these new changes came into effect. i had to do "Deadwood of the North" one time, after that i get the quest for feathered headdresses.

once you get this quest, as you grind, these head dresses will drop..turn them in for extra rep points. so imo, it's worth it to get to this part of the quest line if you are going up to honored rep at least.

This quest became available to me once I passed halfway through neutral (as has been stated before). At level 60, turning in this quest gave me a whopping 7 reputation with the Timbermaw - I'm better off just farming the named Deadwood Furbolg in northern Felwood over and over again.

Dont, know why some are saying they didnt get it till halfway thru Friendly. I am currently at 4.51900 I just got the quest. I am 55 Human Warlock (halfway thru lvl). I got half a level last in a few hours solo'ing the north, so I don't think it's that bad, plus I got a blue that sold for 25 gold. I also get a bunch of Runeclothes and often get healing pots too. Just dont try to take on the camps alone and you will do ok.

This quest becomes available at 50% of the way through Neutral faction with the Timbermaw Furblogs. Once this quest becomes available, the "Timbermaw Ally" quest can no longer be taken. The "Deadwood of the North" quest is repeatable until you hit Friendly faction, at which point Grazzle no longer gives any quests.

I spend two levels killing Deadwoods, and still did not get all the way to where this quest was activated. You almost have to do this at 60, because the xp from killing is so much greater than the faction.

Ok don't know why this is listed at 48. Mobs now 51-54, one of the required being at least 52. Activated at 50% of the way to Friendly as many have pointed out. Killing in the North is much more challenging than the South. Started the south at lv47, done little but kill Furblogs and now I'm at 50. Just complaining that the drops aren't particularly better in the N and it's much harder to Solo as a 50 than the S. Why not just keep killing in the S...

I don't have this quest yet, but Grazle has given me an unlisted quest to find and speak with Nafien. I think it's simply called, 'Speak with Nafien'. I guess this is the quest Nafien will offer me.

Felwood 62,12ish

The Den Watchers will call for help when they are low on health so watch out for that otherwise its pretty straight forward quest.

I had worked the groups on both sides of the caves between Felwood and Winterpsring. A LOT of grinding. Pretty good drops thou.
I am 3 bubbles from lvl 55. I received this quest after getting neutral and going through the caves from Winterspring. I completed the 2 quests inside the caves then also. I doubt this brought my status above 1/2 half way in neutral. I was only 550 when I entered the caves.
Yes, like others I travelled through the caves and killed a few and died 3 times. Then I learn I need to be friends with them to get more quests.
I think the "toughest" part was grinding the camp in north Felwood. At first there was an Alliance "raid" going on. On one side of the pond was nothing but red dots. I guess after a while they got bored with the mass murder. Then they came to my side (I'm PvE) and started going after the few I could get. Then they gave me a babysitter. Some NE Druid. Guess they didn't like him much. He seemed to get bored as I fished the lake.
I think there's something wrong with mass murder with a bunch of lvl 60s even if it's just a game. I still got 25 feathers.
