Winterfall Activity

Salfa wants you to kill 6 Winterfall Totemics, 6 Winterfall Den Watchers, and 6 Winterfall Pathfinders.
  •
Winterfall Totemic slain (6)
  •
Winterfall Den Watcher slain (6)
  •
Winterfall Pathfinder slain (6)

Description

The Timbermaw tend to stay to themselves, <name>. While we do allow safe passage to those that have proven they can be trusted, we try to avoid other furbolg tribes if at all possible.

Lately I have noticed that the Winterfall tribe has become increasingly hostile towards us. They seem to be in a state of rage, completely engulfed by their own fear and hatred of anything they do not understand.

If you could reduce their numbers this would help us greatly, <name>.

For anyone actually doing this quest, Winterfall Village is at 67,35 and everything you need is in the village or the hills behind it.

If you go to co-ords 67.35 it is entry to a Winterfall village. It is SE of Everlook & has a track to it immediately east from a mountain. There are all types of Winterfalls including a patrol of 3 x 57 Runners to be wary of.

If you go through the village on to 69.38 you find a cave where there are a High chief elite @59, a 58 Ursa, & a 58 Sharman together. You need a group for this lot. Oh, they are outside the village as well

There seem to be really few ursa... but they only seem to be in that camp :O

Got the quest as soon as I got unfriendly, but not worth grinding reputation whit them unless you got the two totems, then you might wanna get neutral to get the 12k xp :O

I got the Timbermaw "revered" today, may be i am the first one. I searched a lot and found no reports.

It was an incredible work, because half the way to revered you get no more faction of kills, the only possibility is to do this quest.

Now i can tell you, there is NOTHING new at revered. No new receipes at Meilosh, no new Items at Gorn one eye, Kernda still does not speak, no new Quest anywhere, nothing new at the Timbermaw in Azshara.

At Revered status you can buy the +15 Agility to weapons enchantment, for one thing. Once you hit friendly, check one of the named npcs inside for various recipes, formulae, etc., and they will show what faction you need to buy them.

Also, at level 60 my faction boost from each completion of this quest was 75 points. Maybe there's level decay or maybe not, but I'm 60 and I got 75 points.

Don't do any of the quests till you hit friendly, i'ts not worth the time. At friendly you are eligible for this quest, although it may not show up untill halfway through, however you can have it shared to you, and after that, it will show up. Untill the halfway mark through honored you will get the 75 rep for this quest as well as the 5 rep per kill. After that its only the 75 for this quest.

At Unfriendly you can go through the tunnel

At Friednly you can buy from Meiosh in the tunnel(Hes White)

At honored you can buy the +15 Agility enchant

At revered you can buy the rest of his Tailoring/Blacksmithing/Leatherworking patterns that you cant finsd anywhere else in the game, and you can buy and sell from "Gorn one Eye" the chief across the way, although hes bugged and sometimes does'nt show up.

At 290 Tailoriong you will be eligble for the quest "Sacred Cloth" where you bring Meiosh 2 mooncloth and you will get 100 rep and the recipie for making Mooncloth Boots.

There are not other rewards until the next patch, in which, at exalted, you can summon a furbolg pet. It has a 10 min cooldown and supposedly casts lightning bolts for 250 damage and heals you for 500

Set small goals to get exalted, 1k Rep a day is good, only a few hours solo and less in a group. To get rep for killing these guys you have to make sure you hit them once, if a groupmate kills one without you hitting it once(or healing someone who has) you will not get the 5 rep per kill.

This quest sets apart the men from the boys. When I started going for exalted I had lots of help, and lots of competition getting to honored. Now that I am revered I am alone, people give up.

You will loot literally hundreds of firewater, and I also have gotten 1 epic and 2 Hydralick armor. If your serious you can do it. I fifure that you will kill somewhere in the neighborhood of 10,000 furbolgs to get to exalted, as well as completing this quest close to 500 times.

If you cant put up, shut up.

After half-way through honored the only way to get rep is by doing this quest or by killing the Chief out near Everlook. Since he is an elite surrounded by 2 thugs this is a waste of time. I could solo him as a 60 mage but he only respawns every 7 mins or so and the rep he gives is not worth the effort.

Doing the quest is not terribly bad and you can earn rep fairly quickly at 82/83 points per turn-in. I have now hit Exhaulted and the whole affair took me about a month of grinding (Start of honored to Exhaulted).

Get in a group every chance you get because it speeds up the process dramatically. You get credit for kills on the quest from anywhere in the zone so it helps a lot to have a 5 man party and work both camps at the same time.

If you are solo make sure you invite anyone you see in the area after asking them of course. There will be lots of mid-50's doing a similar quest and they need the same kills and will often join you.

It's a lot of work but I think the reward in the 1.9 patch is going to be worth it. http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/basics/factions/timbermaw/rewards.html

This quest is, in my opinion, very worth it for a 60 trying to build up Timbermaw faction. The required mobs are just east of the questgiver, and the quest itself gives 75 rep on each turn in. This is equal to 15 normal Deadwood or Winterfall kills, or three Chieften kills. Personally i pick up the quest, head east and just farm away like normal until i notice that i've met the requirements. A short break and a short ride to turn in and pick it up again and i'm back at farming.

And as of today, Winterfall furbolgs do give Timbermaw rep on kill.

About month and half ago i start in south camp back in Felwood running back and forth to do turn in for quest . Hardest part was to get set do to many people hunting at this camp however each kill would give reputation gain and that was my whole goal .At one point my faction with Timbermaw is finely high enough to get quest for north camp in Felwood and that saves run for quest turn in . Less people hunt in north camp and faction is going up quicker . Now after friendly i dont get quest in Felwood , got to go to Winterspring continue long task .On the way to Winterspring i was able to do quest from Meilosh right under the bridge over in Tmbermow Hold .As a rogue i got nice +18 agi shoulder .He is a merchant with tailoring items also for tailor you will get one more quest with friendly reputation which will give you Mooncloth Boots .With honored reputation i see pattern : Warbear Woolies ( leather ) 142 armor 28 str and 12 sta also formula for enchanter +15 agi to weapon .There is one more merchant Gorn One Eye under the bridge as well ( honored reputation needed ).This guy have ammo and some regen items and Held in off-hand Furbolg Medicine Pouch 10 Stamina -restores 100 health every 1 sec for 10 sec . And 1 hand mace with +6 sta spirit . I wanted to get my reputation higher and see what alse there is so been doing Winetfall Activity for long time now to see that about half way thru honored reputation i dont get faction incrise for killing any of the guys in Winterspring or Felwood only way to get faction up is by doing the quest . Now my reputation is Revered no items was added at both merchants non of the NPCs in Tibermaw Hold gives quest . I will work my faction up and go check around in Azshara hoping to see more reasons for this loooooong quest .Good luck to you all who like to collect what they have to offer and please fill this post up if you already went thru what i am after .

With the 1.9 patch, the Winterfall Activity quest changed to a non-repeatable version, once you do the quest, it's gone.

You can kill mobs all the way through Honored to Revered, but after you get Revered (my Priest hit it last night) about the only way to get the 21k faction points is to do the "Beads" turn-in, which only gives 50 faction points, and the beads are semi-rare, so you'll probably end up having to kill a lot more mobs in the long-run. Urgh.

Is this quest truly Alliance only? Seems odd, considering that Horde can do Timbermaw Ally and Deadwood of the North in Felwood.

In any case, how high do you have to grind your reputation to gain access to this quest? And is it a worthless waste of time compared to grinding like the other two?

I agree with going in groups, you no longer have to hit each furbolg for the rep gains. You can spread out a group of 5 over the camp and continually rake in the rep up to revered. At revered it will be more difficult, becuase you need to do the quests. I would suggest saving your beads/feathers until revered if you are pushing for exhaulted because of that nifty trinket. (The trinket summons a furbolg to help you out, has a 10 min cooldown).

Was grinding in the area, and a L56 Warrior asked me if I could help him with this quest. We teamed up and tore up the NPCs...but had to travel back and forth as there were lots of other players attacking as well. We ran into a bit of difficulty when the L56 decided to attack the Chief (with his two body guards), and he ended up getting killed! However, he returned and we were able to complete the quest with one minor problem.

When I followed the L56 Warrior to turn in the quest, I checked my log and the quest was not listed! He shared it with me and I didn't check the log as I was able to track the kills. The next day, when I logged into WoW, the quest was listed in the log, and I was able to complete it. Very strange.
