The Warsong Reports

Open the Bundle of Reports. Take the Warsong Reports to the Warsong Scout, Warsong Runner, and Warsong Outrider. Bring back the updates they give you to Kadrak at the northern watch tower in the barrens.
Warsong Scout Update
Warsong Runner Update
Warsong Outrider Update
Provided Item:
Bundle of Reports

Description

I recently deployed a few scouts into Ashenvale and I need a runner to take them their orders, and bring me back a report of what they have observed.

Your first stop should be the Zoram'gar Outpost, along the coast to the west, at the Zoram Strand, to locate the first runner. You also need to stop at Splintertree Post, to the north, and along the road to the east, near Azshara. You will find a scout and an outrider there.

Give them each a report, and from them, get an update on their findings.

Bleh, it looks like all of the old comments are gone.

Here's where the Quest NPCs are located (sorry don't have Coords to give):

From the Quest Starter, run north until the roads ends in a "T-Intersection."&nbsp It will go West to Astranaar or East to Azshara.&nbsp Don't make the mistake of taking the Y-Intersection that you first come to after leaving the Quest Starter.

First One:
From the T-Intersection, run East about 200 yards.&nbsp The first NPC at the Splintertree OUTPOST - pretty much right on the road (not the Splintertree Post, which is just slightly more East and a bit North (you can see it from the road).&nbsp This NPC will wander up and down the tower there.

Second One:
From Splintertree Outpost, run East to Azshara.&nbsp This next NPC wanders the road between the Warsong Lumber Camp and Shadowsong Shrine in Azshara.&nbsp The boundry between Ashenvale and Azshara is the river.&nbsp The NPC will wander across the river 200-300 yards into Azshara.&nbsp (There is an Alliance Flight Path here and much higher level mobs so be careful and don't stray from the road).&nbsp Run back and forth from the bridge to the Warsong Lumber camp and you should find this NPC.&nbsp She rides a wolf.

Third One:
Run West, then run west some more, then keep running until you hit the beach.&nbsp Seriously.
It's a long run - you might want to make yourself a snack for this one.&nbsp Go back past the Splintertree Outpost, past the T-Intersection mentioned above and continue West to Astranaar.&nbsp This is an alliance town, so skirt the town to either side (south seems the most direct).&nbsp Soon after you leave the town, you will descend some hills and see a tower on your right.&nbsp When the ground levels off head west off the road (you may find the faint path the heads to the beach, it doesn't matter).&nbsp This will take you between a gap in the mountain range that empties out onto the beach.&nbsp Head south along the beach to the Zoram'strand Outpost.&nbsp There is a Horde flight path here.&nbsp Get the route and fly back to Crossroads.&nbsp Or, get a group and do Blackfathom Depths.&nbsp There are a few quests here where you can grind out some XP, but no Inn at which to log out.

Hope this helps.

Scout is in Splintertree post (71, 68). Don't forget to get the flight path if you haven't already.

Outrider is on the road between Splintertree Post and Azshara. Head northeast from Azshara.

The Runner is at the Zoram'gar Outpost on the western coast (12,34). There is another flight path there.

There are three reports to deliver, but be sure that you right click on the bundle in your pack or esle it will give you a gray "complete" bar that you CANNOT click on.

Delivery of the reports can be done in any order that you want. Easiest way is as follows.

Splinter Tree Outpost - follow the road out of Orgrimmar's side gate (the one by the Valley of Spirits) and stay on it until it gives you an option of right or left, go right and the Scout is outside the post TLoc 71,68.

Warsong Lumber Camp - Outrunner is on a wolf walking the road TLoc 81,55 thru 88,49. Leave Splinter Tree Post and head north again and you will see the Outrunner. Or go through the lumber camp from the south, go all the way through it and make a left on the road you come to.

Zoram Strand - Head South from Lumber camp on the road you find the outrunner on, keep on it you'll see Astranaar (Night Elf city), go around it to the south unless you are a level 60 and bored, head north to get back on road. Stay on the road unitl about TLoc 21,34where you'll see a dotted path on the left on world map of Ashenvale. The camp is in the Southern part of Zoram Strand (so make a left when you get to the beach and no playing in the water until 30 minutes after eating so you don't cramp).

Scout&nbsp &nbsp = 71,68, Next to a tower, near splintertree post

Runner&nbsp = 12,35, next to tent in Zoran Strand, Explained Below.

Outrider = around 84,50, SHE is on a wolf/mount, moves slowly, Stick around the bridge and you should find her.

for Runner at 12,35 you will need to walk quiet far to Zoran Strand which is on the west side of Ashenvale... When yuo get to Astrannar go around to the south, because astrannar is a alliance town that will attack, then there is a path that leads to Zoran Strand and PRESTO! your there.

+ if you havn't already been there, there are 3 quests you can get there from varios civilians!

Holy cow what a pain in the butt this one was. The very fist outpost you need to hit is just inside Ashenvale. Warning: Stay on the road! Anyhow, follow the path north until you get to a fork in the road with a signpost, should point right to Azshara. About a 100 meters ahead is a tower. This is the first part. The second part is to get back on the road and keep heading east toward Azshara. Soon you'll see a logging camp on the right. Continue on the road to the bridge that crosses into Azshara. Once just inside the zone the outrider you need is mounted on a wolf, she wanders a bit so hang out until she gets back on the road. Don't go wandering too far or you'll get smoked if you're soloing. Ok, now you have two of the three done. The last one is a long run to the west on the coast of the continent. Follow the same road west. As a member of the Horde you will run into Alliance and there is a town called Astranaar. When I got near this town I took the path south and bypassed the guards. Killed a few mobs here and here but I finally made it to the coast. When you see the ocean make a left and you'll see the outpost. There is a windrider there for a safe trip to Sunrock or the Crossroads. To turn in the quest just head north from the Crossroads and stay on the path to the tower on the border of The Barrens and Ashenvale.

My result:
You gain 1800 experience.
Your reputation with Orgrimmar has greatly increase.
Received 20 Silver.

I had problems with all the posts on here they weren't specific enough or had mistakes somewhere. Here's how I did it, along with one tip: Stay on the road at all times (unless otherwise specified) and do not stop. I stopped several times to look up information and always a demon or monster came and wiped me out. As long as I kept moving I was good. (I'm also playing on a PvP server I did this quest very early a.m. and only got killed once by an Alliance member. :P)

I. Finding Splintertree post: Go north in to the fork. Take the road east to Splintertree post. You'll pass the camp on your right and the post is a little further up on your left. Open your reports if you haven't already, then talk to the Scout. Make sure you grab the flight path from the flight master.

II. This was the hardest part for me. I couldn't figure out which road to take. Take the road again and continue going north-east toward Satyrnaar (see this map: (Zone #39) You'll see a smaller path on the right but don't take that path (maps showed that lead to the lumber camp so this is why I tried this road) just keep on the main path and cross the blue bridge. Stay on that path and you'll run into the scout on the wolf. Others have said if you don't see the scout by the time you get to Azshara, turn back on the road until you find them.

III. Go back past Splintertree Post. Start heading west. Stay on the main road this was a very long trek. Use your M map to see your progress. When you get to Astranaar, you're going to swim the lake as far to the right and north as possible. I did die once here. The guards caught me, but I came back and revived on the rocks of the lake and was good. As long as you stay right and north all the way around the lake you'll be fine. Get back on the road past the bridge and continue your trek west. Using your M map you'll see the dotted lines toward the coast. Take that way. I ended up going straight in to the coast to the ruins but there were some higher level beasts which I didn't want to tackle yet. So using my map, with the goal of going south on the beach to Zoram strand (which you should be able to see on the map by now) I backtracked a bit, cut in between the mountains and kept close to the inside between mountains and beach. There were no spiders (I didn't find the dirt path between the trees) and I had to tackle this white wolf, but as long as I kept close to the inside of mountains and continued south toward Zoram I was fine. Get your flight path, then take the windrider back to Splintertree Post, then walk back to Horde territory to deliver the reports.

Just go around Astranaar, following the shore of the lake, and then stay between the forest and the shore once you hit the Zoram strand. You may run into some level 19-20 wolves and spiders, but that's it...I just finished at level 19 and only aggroed 2 mobs the whole way from Splintertree.

Anyway, for 20sp and some faction this doesn't seem worth it unless you like to explore.

Note that at some point you will have to turn off the main road. I define the "main road" as the path with the lights. I stayed on the "lighted path" waiting to see the ocean, but I ended up at the top of the continent way way off course. So to avoid what I did, follow the "main road" west in Ashenvale, but towards the west end of the map you will see a mountain range. There is a small gap in the mountain range which will allow you to head to the ocean. While on the "main road" start looking for a path that splits west as you are nearing the gap in the western mountain range. After turning left, follow the road till you hit the beach. Then follow the beach south, you will then hit the small outpost which is on the beach. If you miss the road to the ocean and keep following the "main road" you will end up in Darkshore and then Auberdine, which is Alliance territory. If you see these towns you have gone too far =P

Of course, all of this assumes you're not on a PVP server. Since Ashenvale is Alliance territory, you're flagged. Be warned, going offroad may be dangerous, but staying on the raod, PVP flagged, is suicide.
