Triage

Save patients by using Triage Bandages to tend to their wounds. You must save 15 patients before 6 of them die from their injuries.

Remember the order of triage! Critically Injured Soldiers die the fastest followed by Badly Injured Soldiers. Injured Soldiers take the longest to die and should be saved AFTER your Critically Injured and Badly Injured Soldiers have been triaged.
  •
15 Patients Saved!
Provided Item:
Triage Bandage

Description

Good day, doctor. You will be tested on your ability to triage patients accordingly this afternoon. Should you pass your examination, you will join the prestigious ranks of Alliance Trauma.

Now pay attention! The critically injured must be tended to first. After the criticals come the badly injured. The injured should be tended to last. You must save 15 patients to pass this exam. You will fail should 6 of your patients die in triage.

Good luck, doctor.

Allows training of Artisan First Aid (Up to 300).

When doing the quest, 3 types of patients spawn: Injured, Badly Injured and Critically Injured. You must save 15 patients before 6 perish.

Bandage the Critically Injured victims first, as they live the shortest. Once all Critically Injured victims are healed, proceed to heal Badly Injured victims. Again, once all have been healed, proceed to heal Injured victims.

My tip is:

Just start from the left, and then continue doing them all, they usually not die before you have finished your round. I did it this way, and completed it first time round.

Placed the bandage on my hotbar, easy does it!

Wasted about 6 goes messing this up and was ready to kill somebody......

Start the quest, but dont try to heal, just find the spot in the room where all the beds are in range.&nbsp I found it a couple of stones behind the doc / questgiver.&nbsp I had to remove my right hand toolbars to enable me to have a view of all the beds.&nbsp I put the viewpoint in the back top corner of the room, this enabled me a nearly-birds-eye view of all the beds ( or at least enough of a view to be able to hover over the patient and see what class of injury they were)

Put your triage bandages on a hotkey.

Start the quest again, stand still and heal in the order given using the hotkey.&nbsp Whilst applying triage to your current patient, target the next, and so on.&nbsp Using this method did it first time.

Good luck.

Bring 75 Mageweave Cloth and 70 Runecloth with you. You can train all of the bandages after completing the quest, and eliminate having to return to him in the future.

1) After you finish quest, the doctor will train you automatically. Make Mageweave bandages. Talk to doctor again at 240.
2) 241-260 make Heavy Mageweave bandages.
3) 261-290 make Runecloth bandages.
4) 291-300 make Heavy Runecloth bandages.

I have used this for five characters. Works like a charm.

Couple of more tips:

-Stand in the middle of the patients. You should be able to reach them all, especially doing this on Horde side.

-If you still can't finish this, team up with someone else who needs the quest and do it at the same time. A two person team still only has to save 15 patients total, which is much easier.

I was a little female dwarf, level 36, who went to Theramore to get artisan first aid. I had to try a few times before it happened, but at last it did! And now i'm a real doctor.
The only thing you have to, is having skill 225, be level 35, get the quest from the first aid trainer in Ironforge and save 15 patients.
They say than it's a level 45 quest, but i did it at 36, so you can do it too, doctor!

Greetings from Whilma.

the horde's side of this qst has some helpful tips - stand in the middle of the room. press V to have the health meters pop up. heal in the triage order, and make sure you are using the triage bandages and NOT your own.

also, target someone, heal, and as you are healing TARGET YOUR NEXT PERSON. makes the quest go a lot more smoothly.

i read theirs by accident before going "but it's not in the highlands..." a mistake that ended up helping me pass first try!

(Alliance side anyway). You dont have to run from patient to patient. Just get the quest and stand in the middle of the room. Select a soldier, and click on the triage bandage. Turn and select a new soldier, repeat until you are done. The soldier standing as you enter cannot be healed and will not die so you can ignore him. Good Luck!

Before you start the quest make sure there are no patients in the bunks.
If there are patients left from an earlier attempt (by you or someone else), you don't have enough time to save them.

First off, this is the Alliance side triage (see the horde one for hints about that one)

Prepare to get the quest, and its bandages.
Clear up a slot in your backpack so you know where the bandages will appear.
Also pull your #1 button (your "attack") to free up that quick key for the bandages you will get.
Stand as close to the center of the room as you can and still get the quest.

Open your backpack, accept the quest, grab the quest bandages and drop them in your #1 quick key.
Spin around and look for the worst off person in the following order:
critically injured
badly injured
whoever has been on bed the longest

Click on most critical
If too far away you should be able to walk 1 or 2 steps to get to them.
Then click on quick key to start the bandaging.

While you bandage, turn around and look for the next target.
Use the right-mouse to turn so you don’t break the bandaging.
Mouse over the others and select the next victim.
Left click to target them (it wont break the current bandaging)

As soon as the last bandaging is done, quick key the next one to start and repeat.

If you somehow fail this quest
Abandon the quest
Toss out the bandages given before.
And try it again.

My aqdvice for finishing this first try rather than 4th try is to:

a) Pay attention to your backpack. The ONLY way to cure these guys is with the quest item you are provided which has 20 charges in it.

b) Unles syou are really unlucky, you wont get that many criticals. Let the criticals die. No point saving all the criticals but letting 4 or 5 injured's die instead.

Don't waste your mageweave and heavy silk bandages on these guys as I doid >.< Won't make any difference :)

There's no need to abandon the quest if you fail. A message will pop up if you fail and the exclamation mark appears over the doc's head again. Just speak to him to repeat the quest, no limit to the number of times you can attempt it.

Instead on clicking on the individual patients, use the V or Ctrl-V (Mac) key and click on the name plates instead. There will usually be 5 or 6 name plates present so click on the order of severity of injuries to heal. Really easy.

For all of you that have done this quest and Horde and are expecting the same thing, heads up!

The room you stand in for alliance is VERY tight and the ceiling is also very low. There is no place to put the camera that you can just leave it. You are forced to spin it around and search for the patients. This makes it extremely hard to remember wich of the lowest level injured patients is the oldest.

I personally failed this quest 3 times before success. I did as many stated above (turned on NPC names) and also used the alt+z to remove my interface. I used a mouse button as the keybind.

Good luck!

The easiest way to do this mission after attending to the first few badly or critical injured patients, view back and find your next target but notice there are two beds on each wall, you are able to reach two beds at once if you position yourself in the middle of the two. this way you dont have to do any movement, you can just bandage one and the bandage the other next to it. same goes for the corner beds too. Good Luck,...took me three times to pass.

I had a bear of a time finishing this quest. The patients spawn in about 6 beds in a rough circle near the back of the room. What I found worked best was positioning myself in roughly the center of that circle. If you then tilt the 3rd person perspective correctly, you can zoom out far enough to mouse-over all of the patients without having to adjust your view. Moreover, if you're in the center, you're close enough to bandage patients without actually moving.

Also, you may want to start the quest once, get the bandages, and then let it fail. The Doc drops the bandages in your inventory as soon as the quest starts. Time counts, so you'll want to have your bandages set up on the toolbar for easy access. So get the bandages, fail the first time, put them in the toolbar, abandon the quest, and then restart from the doc.

You probably can ignore the Critically Injured as Earthshaker suggests. The Criticals can actually die on you mid-bandage if you're not quick and it's a pain to waste the time. Make sure to jump on the Badly Injured, though.

Bandaging works like channelling a spell, so once you start the bandage, you can switch targets without interrupting the bandage. As such, once you start bandaging one patient, start looking around for your next patient. Have him targeted so that as soon as you finish a bandage, you can click the bandage and start bandaging immediately.

Only other advice I can offer is to try and pay attention to how the patients pop into existence. They'll tend to vanish in the same order, so try to heal the ones who appeared first.

You can restart as many times as you need by abandoning the quest and getting it from the Doc. The Doc gives you 20 special bandages, so i you've still got 15+ bandages, then just start over. But if you've got less than 15, drop the bandages before restarting because the Doc won't give you a new supply unless you have none of the special bandages in your inventory.

I'm level 40 and was able to pick up this quest. After about 4-5 tries, I was able to finish by staying toward the middle and looking at the scene from the 3rd person. On the winning try, I went around in a circle, but made sure that I healed the badly injured before the regular injured even if they were not in order. I ignored the critically injured altogether (I think I may have gotten 2 during the last try.). Good luck!

If you put the bandages on a hotkey, it works a lot better. It shows how many charges are left, so you can keep track of how many you've healed.

YOU MUST HAVE 225 SKILL

put the bandages in a hotkey
i didnt even use "v" or anything i just moved the camera around while i was healing one person looking for badly or critically injured people
i followed the priority for healing and idk how many died but i completed it first try so

idk why people are having a problem but its really not THAT hard...

Start the quest and make sure no one else is doing it. While you are Triaging one patient, turn your body around and search for the patients that are critically or badly injured. You can even select them as targets before you're done with the last one. Then just run to them and triage (make sure it is on a hotkey).

Easy, done in 15 bandages. At lvl 37, got a nice 3900 xp, and free Artisan first aid training.

Find a second person doing this quest.

Have one of you go to the quest guy get your 20 quest bandages and ditch the quest.. you keep the bandages..
Now second person goes in and starts the quest, they also get 20 bandages.

OH yes,,, its so easy with help.. one of you take one side.. and the other other side.. heal them all.

after the person that finished the quest, you should have about 12-13 bandages left.. the both of you.

Have the person who ditched the quest start it again. Now do the same..

Its no fail

Happy bandaging

You also need 225 in first aid to get it.

Did it second try np :) Didn't use a hot key or anything, just kept constantly looking for badly injured or critically injured, if I couldnt see one i bandaged a plain ol normally injured soldier instead :)

The idea to ignore the critically injured patients is a good one.

The best way I found to do this quest (after advise from guild mates) was to stand in the middle of the room with your back to the doctor, and then adjust the camera angle so you can see all the beds.
Put the Triage bandage on a hotkey, so you can use the mouse to check and click on the patients, and quickly hit the hotkey to start bandaging. Select your next target before bandaging is finished. There should be no (or very little) character movement.
