Description

The Forsaken do not pass on their... illness... from what I have seen. This diplomat seems to be granting undeath to would-be followers. I am beginning to think he is one of the Scourge.

For now, my concern is not with him though, it's with the growing ranks around him. They creep from the shadows daily, almost begging him for more power.

I'm not powerful enough to fight them on my own, <name>. What do you say? Are you up for some hunting?

This NPC is located in Razorfen Downs, watching over the movements of the objective if this quest.&nbsp As mentioned in the quest, she is "not powerful enough" to help, but seems to be a scout only in function.

A hopefully simple way to find Myriam Moonsinger:
start in Thousand Needles -- at The Great Lift, head southeast along the trail towards the Shimmering Flats.&nbsp At the beginning of the trail, before you get too far along towards the Flats, you will see stairs leading up.&nbsp These rope ladder stairs are also marked by a huge purple/blue-ish totem.

Take the stairs up, kill some Bloodtooth Guards (level 27-28 mob) along the way.&nbsp At the top, you will be on a plateau of sorts.&nbsp This network of ramps/rope ladder bridges/stairs is very large.&nbsp You want to go north towards the Barrens, working your way to the edge of Thousand Needles.&nbsp At the edge, turn right (east).&nbsp Once you see a Death's Head Cultist (level 33-34+ elite) with another guard (either Thornweaver or Battleguard level 33-34+ elite), you have arrived.

Myriam Moonsinger is north and a little east, once you get past the first five or so mob.&nbsp Look up on top of a hill, overlooking the mob on the eastern edge of Razorfen Downs.

To reach Myriam, you need to walk past the wooden wolf-like head which leads to the entrance of the dungeon. Go up the hill, and you will meet Myriam. She should have a bang above her head.

As of the v2.3 patch, the mobs outside the instance are no longer elite. This quest can probably be solo'd by someone of the appropriate level for the mobs in question. I believe the quest reward was increased to 4000 XP as well.

Even though this quest is flagged as [D] it is just a grp quest as all mobs are outside the instance all over the thorny maze...just walk around with a 2-man grp, kill all the elites you can find and bam! easy xp...

She is outside the instance... Before you enter through the big skeleton head (dragon?) then she is SE from that spot.

Like others looking for Myriam to start this quest, I was a little confused about where to locate her. Just to clarify, you have to go into Razorfen Downs (the big bramble encampment) on the left side as you head south just before you reach The Great Lift. I was bored the other night and reconnoitered the area solo because I want the Robes of Lich that often drop inside the dungeon and realized that at level 42 (warlock) I wasn't going to be able to advance without beginning to get involved with groups (I'm running out of solo quests). Like others, I couldn't find her at first, because I was looking for her outside this settlement. You have to go in.

I ended up entering from the back, which is coming across the suspension bridge from Dark Cloud Pinnacle. I'm not sure this is any better than going in the front, but it's easy enough to cut your way through the weak opposition on the pinnacle at level 42. I did it because I was probing the perimeter looking for Myriam Moonsinger. I think the basic requirement to get this quest going solo is to be able to kill two 34 elites at one time as this is the level in pairs guarding both entrances. Once inside, you'll have an easy enough time avoiding multiple enemies and can get to Myriam up on the hill at the very back of the interior (east side). You may have to kill one or two more bad guys to safely get their, but don't waste your time killing anything you don't have to because you might as well get credit for killing these guys AFTER you get the quest.

I don't recommend soloing the quest after you get it because it will take too much time. Killing the 8 Thorweavers and 8 Battle Guards one by one is easy enough, but it will take forever to get 8 Cultists as they are protected and even though if you pull correctly, you can get one cultist along with one add, the time and trouble involved to get just one is going to be a pain. At present I'm taking a short break from this quest as I got careless and died getting a cultist. There is a lone bad guy that travels back and forth between the camps at the two ends of the cave. I killed him, but spent so much time trying to get my takedown of the cultist just right, the his respawn got me from behind when my Voidwalker and I were busy with the cultist and his pal. These level 34 Elites are not that hard to kill, but take a lot longer to drain tank as they keep regenerating health as you take them down, so be aware of that and good luck. Meanwhile I'm hoping to find a group before I start back in on the cultists.

Hey don't know too much about this quest yet my friends were all 40 and were on there mounts running through. I didn't have a mount as i was 39 and ran up to a top of a hill where i found this night elf. it was right near the entrance to the path that leads to the instance.

Near the end... so to speak.
