Description

Vorsha the Lasher... the fiendish hydra that roams the seas...

She has attacked our outpost, each time unprovoked, laying waste to anything that falls in her path.

But I am ready, <name>. I have prepared to best the hydra and end these attacks on Zoram'gar.

The naga honor the wicked nature of this beast with a brazier that remains lit on an island just off the coast. I believe that if we put it out, Vorsha will appear in anger.

We will need help, so be sure to bring some strong allies.

Well as long as you got the quest in your log it doesn't matter what level you are anyone can do it now.

Simply Follow the NPC to the Hill, Vanish the flame. Now you just need to die. Seriously. You will die and the quest will state you have failed the quest. Don't worry, just hurry up and revive your body and restart the quest. Vorsha will be sitting next to the flame. So now when the NPC gets half way across the water to the island it will get bugged and say you have finished the quest.

I did this on accident and I know have a ring to show for it. Seems I'm not the only one that has stumbled upon it either. GoodLuck. :)

I soloed this quest at level 21 as a Warlock. He says you need a group, but you really don't. The first thing that will happen is you will escort Muglash a bit to an island. He tells you to dose out the first in the middle.

Be ready for battle when you do this! The first wave of attacks comes it is 3 nagas. If you are a warlock, have your void walker tank one, let the NPC tank one, and keep the other mob feared. After the first 3 are killed, you will have about 5 seconds to eat/drink. Do it!

Next comes 3 more nagas, rinse and repeat. Again, you will have another 5 seconds to rest. Vorsha comes next. Just went down like any other level 22 mob. Good experience, worth doing!

Just follow the orc and do what he says ^^ Luckily enough you get a break between the waves of mobs, which come in about 3's, and in the third wave it's Vorsha. Make sure you drink between fights, and be at full health when Vorsha comes along.

this is listed as a lv 23 quest, and it was easy for me to complete solo as a 23 shaman.&nbsp

The NPC at the beginning warns that it will be impossible to win without a group.&nbsp I guess they put the warning just because they assume a lot of people will try it to early.&nbsp The quest was yellow for me, and I received full credit (2300xp).

The quest is pretty simple: Just follow him and click on the flame once your ready.&nbsp There will be 3 waves total.&nbsp The first two are 3 naga each (besure to kill the priests 1st as they will heal the others) and the last 'wave' is Vorsha, a level 22 hydra.&nbsp

I soloed as a 22 druid.&nbsp I just used cat from and stealthed to attack them.&nbsp I threw up a regrowth and rejuve between each wave, on both myself and the npc.

Good luck!&nbsp

It appears that what causes this event to 'glitch' is when other characters fail the quest.
I did this quest on my 21 druid and as with the other reports Vorsha came with an extra wave of naga. Luckily I managed to kill him, but about 10 seconds after I killed Vorsha and the extra waves of adds, more waves of adds begun to spawn and yet again Vorsha spawned.
In summary : If you see the bones of dead players next to the alter, you may be in for a tougher fight then what is expected.
I put a GM ticket in with my findings and they said they'd look into it.

Well.. This quest was really easy.. Atleast for me, 22 lock.. void tanks one of them.. 1 feared and me and the npc on the last mob.. going down pretty fast.. and the "boss" was really easy too imo.. Just the void as tank and put up some dots and nuke! :D
Kinda funny quest too.. GL!

This quest randomly bugs out, and there will actually be a 4th wave of 3 Naga while you are fighting Vorsha.
It happens randomly because I've completed it before without that happening, it is very annoying.

The above theory of allowing Muglash to die is disproved. I just tried to do the quest as stated and I failed the quest when Muglash died, it was likely fixed in the most recent patch.

Also, when Vorsha spawned another 3 naga spawned as well. This could be anything from a bug to Blizzard trying to further "fix" the quest and make it more group-oriented.

If you're having some trouble with this quest with the number of adds you can do a small strategy that I had recently found out. Once you are on the small island with Muglash, put out the flame as instructed, though once you do so, head most south on the island, this will cause one of the adds to head straight after you before the other adds come within the line of sight, and Muglash will come to your aid once attacked which allows him to also avoid those mobs, the waves then become 2-phase fights consisting of the first add, then the two others at the end of each phase, hope this helped because I know some classes aren't as solo worthy as others.

Soloed this quest as a level 23 Priest. I feared the waves to make it easier to kill them. When Vorsha came, I let Muglash tank and just healed him.

Like Ekornmeyer said, it says you need a group, but it's easy enough without one.

Finally found my way to the Z Strand as a level 26 rogue and accepted this quest and it was easy to solo. Since you douse the brazier, you're going to be unstealthed for the first wave, but for the next wave I'd sugegest stealthing before they appear and Ambushing a caster to quickly take them out. Muglash is tough so let him focus on one guy while you take another. Vorsha is nothing to write home about difficulty wise, but it was cool to see it come out of the water.

This is a pretty easy quest. I did it as a 23 shaman with a 30 hunter friend. As soon as you say accept, Muglash will walk slowly towards the water and will attack anything that your party is attacking on the way. Right off shore is a small empty island with a brazier. When you click on it to extinguish it, 3 mobs around level 22 appear at the same time. In a few minutes another wave of 3 mobs appears, about the same level. On the third wave, Vorsha appears. Once you kill it, you're done and you get a nice ring!

Totally glitched out the game.

Got the quest, escorted him to the first island, then died.

Abandoned the quest thinking I had to reset it in order to do it again.

Ran back to my body, swam to the village (Zoram Strand).

Started the quest again, then ran about 30 yards ahead of him, and he just stopped and started thanking me.

Turned in my quest, got the 2300 XP and the ring!

Weird...

Did this as my UD 20 priest.

First two times I went offensive and died at the "second round."

Third time I took to Barachado's idea and played healer. Fade when you have too many mobs on you, and just keep Muglash and yourself healed. Still died at Vorsha, but it was at the very end and Muglash killed her for me. Not really too hard.

2300 xp, no rep change.

Anyone know why this quest is such a buggy PoS?

3/4 of the time a 3rd wave will come with Vorsha, making it nearly impossible to do, and then the other 1/4 of the time (usually when you give up and come back 5 levels later) he comes alone.

Once you have put out the flame on the brazier, move back a bit before the fights begin. This will give you a chance to use your sheep spell. There will be 3 mobs, 2 fighters and one caster. Muglash is a decent tank. Sheep one of the fighters is not hitting, and then nuke down the caster. Repeat for 2nd wave. Very easy, hardly took any damage.

This quest can be difficult to solo. If you happen to die, Muglash will keep on fighting so you can return and rez and continue the quest. My pet was flaking out the first time I tried it and Maglash ended up dead right before I killed Vorsha.

I was able to fix my pet by relogging and then had no problem completing this quest. 25 Hunter with 23 Pet.

so I accept the quest, follow him to the island.
There is the corpse of Vorsha. As soon as Muglash reaches the island, the quest comes up as failed.

So why did it let me start the quest if it cannot be completed until Vorsha is respawned?

Yawn, yet again Blizzard waste my time.

It's really easy. I soloed as lvl 23 Warlock, sent in Voidwalker to tank, used Fear on one, and let Muglash do the rest. Vorsha is lvl 22, so it was pretty easy beating it. I almost died once, but having first aid makes a big difference.

I just tried this and there were three waves instead of two. The first two waves were easy enough but then the third wave and Vorsha came at once. I gave it two tries but this happened both times.

On the second attempt I tried to tank the three adds and let Muglash solo Vorsha as others have said he can, but he failed.
