Theradric Crystal Carving (15)

Description

The crystal caverns of Terramok lie to the west, deep within Maraudon... It is an ancient place with much history. And I am looking to get my hands on some of it, <class>. Relics of the old gods lie hidden behind the giant doors.

If you are willing to brave the twisted evils found in Maraudon, I believe I can make it worth your time. Collect the theradric crystal carvings you find, and return them to me.

Once I get the carvings, I will be able to... study them. These powers have been too long at rest...

If you happened to have this shared w/you it's kind of annoying to find the contact if you don't know where to go, so here's the loc.

She's in Kormek's Hut @ 62,40, NE of the Kodo Graveyard, outside of the walled area on the map.

The absolute best drop rate is from The Nameless Prophet. He is a named NPC that wanders around in the first part of Mara, before you even enter
any of the instances. The nice part is, the INSTANT you kill him (and usually one of his friends), he respawns a couple of feet away.
So, basically, you can run back and forth, kill him over and over again, and get this quest done in no time.
My drop rate was 11/13, or 85%.
I would've gotten ALL of my crystals from him, had I known he had such a great respawn/drop rate! Have a hunter with you and he's easily
trackable when he respawns.

Willow is NOT at the mass makers on the map...since it is BOTH and Alliance and Horde given by the same NPC..wouldn't be possible for her to be in Ghost Walkers Post

Willow is in a little hut off the road N of GWP

If you want to complete this quest but can't get a group for the instance, or you just need a few more, or even if you just feel like soloing it - go to the purple entrance. There will be a patrol of imps that die very easily. Take them out, take their quest drops. Exit the instance and reset it. Repeat until you have all of them. Simple and quick.

Read the quest text carefully when you do this quest. It's well-written. Remember it when you go to Silithus, see what the Twilight's Hammer cult is up to, complete related quests, and read their decrypted texts.

If you make it to the end of the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj, you will probably regret helping them in Desolace....

Drops from the orange instance as well. Best drop is from The Nameless Prophet, he drops 100%. Just farm him. He spawns almost instantly in about four or five different places just inside the stone door, so if you have patience you don't need to go very far. Of course, people who want the amulet from the Prophet may be upset, but the only people I ran into were 60's who were farming the instances.

&nbsp Solo , not easy but did it as a 41 hunter, was 42 when finished.Found the "Nameless Prophet" to drop 100%
&nbsp He is as stated above , through the stone door (found in valley of spears, desolace. must be lvl 40 to open)leading to maraudon but before actual instance entrance.
&nbsp He respawns right after you kill him .The mobs also respawn at a good rate.I died twice, then bought some food and water to speed up the dangerous downtime, and finished much faster and easier.
&nbsp The Nameless Prophet is a lvl 44 Gold Elite. The mobs are non elite priests, bowmen ,and melee. Those priests pack some mean curses.
&nbsp As my first Chain Chest item I think it was worth the effort.
&nbsp Hope that helps some low 40 attain some decent gear.

The carvings drop like candy, probably every third mob in the instance, regular and elite, has one on them. My party had three people on this quest and we all had our 25 by the time we got out of the purple side.

If you don't want to do Mara, just kill the Nameless Prophet over and over outside the instance, he is soloable for some classes (was a joke as a 41 BM hunter). Cursed Centaur also drops one if he is up.
