Filled Cerulean Vial
Provided Item:
Coated Cerulean Vial

Description

A satyr known as Vyletongue has corrupted the caverns of Maraudon, stunting the growth of many of the plants inside.

Take this vial, <name>. Fill it at the corrupted orange pool found inside the caverns; the coating inside the vial will counter the toxins, turning it into a healing agent.

Find the Vylestem vines inside the orange caverns, and use the purified liquid on them. The corruption will be purged from the plant, but do know that Vyletongue will still control it. He may use it against you...

The pool to fill the vial is outside the instance. It's a big pool with orange crystals in it. Not the little pool the Dryad is standing in.

They are small flower-like plants inside the Orange instance. They do not target or show a gear when you mouse over them. You use the vial next to them and it spawns a big flower that will split into an elemental during the fight. Once you kill both it will award your entire group one plant "healed".

To be clear, the wines are located inside the instance in the orange part. Use the vial on the wines (it has about 10 yard range). Two or three Noxxious Scion spawns and you need to kill 8 of these in total to complete the quest. They are non elites so quite easy to take out, even possible to take one at a time if you are careful.

The orange pool is outside the instances, you go right (orange crystals) and end up in a larger room which has a huge pool with tons of orange crystals in it, it also glows orange :p

Is there a trick to killing the scions and essences when you heal a plant?

It seems like they are *alot* stronger than they should be. Especially for all being normal except the one elite scion.

There is one vine just behind the first two Barbed Lashers. If you are on your own, kill the two lashers, follow the above procedure on cleansing by backing off and kill the scions that appear. After this leave the instance for 20mins or so, play an alt or something, then return after the instance has reset and repeat until finished.

The ring sells best to vendors of the three rewards you're offered, at 78 silver, 91 copper.

The Vylestem Vines are relatively small - maybe half height of a dwarf or the height of a gnome roughly. They have an orangish cast. As was mentioned, they don't show up in a mouse over. However, if you put the Vial on an action button, when you click it, it tells you that they are out of range so you can quickly tell that things you suspect might be the vines are in fact not. As mentioned, when activated with the vial, the vine spawns 2 or 3 mobs that immediately attack you - be prepared. The good thing is that you will get 2 or 3 of your 8 required by activating one vine object.

this is by far one of the dumbest quests I've ever had the displeasure of doing. So much so that I got on my 70 to do and figure out what the hell to do. Getting the vial done is about as easy as it gets. After that you have to find the vines which are not selectable. I spent about 15min play hit or miss trying to figure out which are the ones to select. Here's the fun part, the vines in question aren't even f'ing vines. They're small 5 leafed stubby plants that grow along the wall on the way to Noxxion. Once you put the water on them they spawn 2-3 water elemental looking types.

Assuming they spawn in the same place each time you should find the first one by the second mob after you enter the instance

As a 52 frost mage, it is soloable. just keep going for the first stub by the 2nd lasher and resetting the instance. Done it in 2 resets. Popped the water elemental almost every encounter. Uses the elevation of grounds to gain casting time. Takes time but yes, soloable at 52 for frost mage.
