Description

How nice it is to see a <class> interested in the great archeological wonders of our world.

Oftentimes our work is dismissed as mere hobby by our friends in the Alliance. But what many fail to realize is that recent discoveries in Khaz Modan have proven that a great and powerful force threatens all of Azeroth, from Lordaeron to Kalimdor.

I am most worried about my crew that I sent to Darkshore. They haven't sent word in weeks.

Travel to Auberdine and look for a clue as to their whereabouts.

You find Explorer Hollee in Aubderdine who will direct you to the Absent Minded Professor at his exacavation site just a bit inland from the Long Shore near Murkdeep's huts. Finish escorting him through his site and he tells you to return the fossil to a colleague in Menethil Bay's INN upstairs. Talk to the colleage and find the 2 relics from Whelgar's exacavation site in Wetlands and finish off by killing Snarltooth, lvl 29 Raptor.

This is an optional lead in quest. You can talk to Hollee without this one, but then you miss out on a little experience and IF rep.

Talk to the small person outside of the building that has the trainers in it. She is on the opposite side of the miners.

Chief Archaelogist Greywhisker is NOT IN THE CENARION ENCLAVE.

Remember the building where you returned to after completing the Tears of the Moon quest, where you defeated that giant gray spider? He's actually outside of that building to the west.

I abandoned the second part of theis series "The Absent Minded Prospector" quest, and then couldn't restart.&nbsp I joined a group, but they couldn't share quest.&nbsp But finally, when they started quest, popup message asked if I wanted to join quest.&nbsp I agreed, participated, and quest complete.

The quest is given by Chief Archaeologist Greywhisker in Darnassus, by the Temple of the Moon.

In any even you don't need it to get the follow-up from Hollee.

I've looked all over Darnassus for whoever it is that begins this quest, and have been unable to find them as of yet. Does anyone at all know how to get this quest started? I'd really appreciate any information. I haven't even been able to see a dwarf yet, so I don't know where this NPC might be at all...

EDIT: Okay, I found him. For anyone who's searching for him, the quest NPC's name is Chief Archaeologist Greywhisker, and he is a dwarf. He is located outside the Temple of the Moon in Darnassus, you walk to the right before you go in, past a little tower, and you can't miss him. ^^ Hope that helps anyone, and hopefully Anonymous will add him soon with a location map.
