Description

Thank you for taking the time to speak to me, <name>. I am Ruul, warrior and teacher.

You have obviously reached an age when you must prepare for your trials if you are to adventure much further out of Mulgore.

If you wish a test of your strength, start by seeking out the Windfury harpies to the southeast. They nestle along the mountain's edges away from the road.

They are one of our natural enemies here in Mulgore and will be a good gauge of your skill.

Couple people mention you can find these just South of road before entering The Barrens. Coords roughly 63, 69 if you have mod. Otherwise you will see what looks like giant pine cones hanging from trees on your right as you are walking down the road right before getting to Barrens. That's their nests. Harpies are female looking birds. You will see Turquoise and White ones. The drop rate is about 1 in 2 or 3. It shouldn't take you much more than about 10-15 mins working solo. Their levels are 7-8.

They are south of the entrance to the Barrens along the mountain side. The drop rate is decent.

Can't seem to find these windfury things and really I can't understand what they look like quite frankly...are they birds?&nbsp Can someone tell us a bit better than over by the cloud mesa boarder? PLEASE

Ok.....i dont know if this quest is bugged or not....but I have spent the better part of an hour killing these harpies and not ONE windfury talon has dropped.&nbsp Has anyone else had this problem or anything like this?

They are tucked in the bottom right corner of the map.

The drop rate is sort of low, but it's good grinding xp.

Hmm.. I don't know. I killed Wind fury dust witches and harpies all day long and didnt fine 1 talon. Am I unlucky or is it not in the Rolling Plains?

I agree with the crap drop rate comment... I've killed 20 of the buggers and only got 1 talon! for map heads they're at around 67,73 on the map

really odd but you need to be exactly about 66.69 in a sort of valley leading up against the mountain the drop rates were VERY fast there

I found all the Windfury Harpy I needed to kill along the mountain range between the Brambleblade Ravine and the road to the Barrens. Coordinates are x (68), y (72). I seemed to get 1 talon for every 4 kills.

I've never found the Windfuries to the southeast. There is a large group of them to the northwest though, levels 7-8. They are north of the dig site.
