Description

Master Winthalus lost the Libram of Rapidity in the east wing. The Libram will allow for a minor haste cantrip to be placed upon your equipment. Parlor tricks, really...

Regardless, if you are interested, you will need to present the Libram along with some basic reagents.

Hrm... I believe it also requires blood of heroes, a pristine black diamond, and large brilliant shards. I could be wrong!

<Lydros shrugs.>

As it stands now in patch 1.12, a Libram of Rapidity can only be used for two things: a +1% increase to weapon speed (think weapon chain) when applied to a leg or head item, and +10 NR when applied to those same item slots.&nbsp They drop in every wing of DM.

For both enchants, you need to make an Arcanum of Rapidity.&nbsp It is a quest reward, but assuming you've completed Elven Legends you can acquire all the materials before you obtain the quest, so two trips aren't needed.

In addition to the libram, you will need:
1x Blood of Heroes (found in certain spawn points in the plaguelands)
2x Large Brilliant Shard
1x Pristine Black Diamond

Turn this in to Lorekeeper Lydros in the Athenaeum (library) of DM, and you obtain your Arcanum of Rapidity.

Now, if you did all that just to get your +10 NR enchant, you have one more step you need to do.&nbsp In the northeast corner of ZG, you'll find Zanza the Restless.&nbsp It's possible to solo to him, though you need at least one other person to make a raid so you can enter the instance.&nbsp Jump off the entrance platform into the water on your right.&nbsp Swim down to the bottom and follow the flow until you hit the waterfall get out of the water before you go over it, and mount up.&nbsp now, use whatever your class has to offer to run past the two bridges, venoxis' room, around the serpent corner and up the hill.&nbsp Zanza is on the top of the structure in front of you.&nbsp

Turn in your arcanum to him and he will give you a Savage Guard.&nbsp You can either enjoy the view for a few seconds until you die or attempt to jump off the back of the structure and hearth.

You'll need to complete the "Elven Legends" quest before "Lorekeeper Lydros" in DM will allow you to turn in Librams.

The quest giver for horde is "Sage Korolusk" in Feralas.

actually. %1 haste is not as major as people think in regards to the alternatives (+8 adility) The only time the %1 haste is better than the agility is when you have an extremely slow weapon (like the BWL crossbow) Im talking like 2.9+ delay. Otherwise the attack power gain from agility outweighs the minimal dps increase you gain from 1% Let me explain with some numbers

For the example I will use the damage, speed and DPS of strikers mark (disregard its stats) For simplicity reasons I wont take into account, talents, specs, outside buffs, quivers, etc. this is just regarding a bow with X stats and 2 of each enchant on items with no other effects as those all remain constant.

Here are the stats of the base bow
Damage: 69-129 (27.6 Lower DPS) (51.6 Upper DPS)
Total DPS: 39.6
Weapon Delay: 2.5

Here are the stats with 2% haste (1 on each piece)
Damage: 69-129 (28.2 Lower DPS) (52.7 Upper DPS)
Total DPS: 40.45
Weapon Delay: 2.45

Here are the stats with 16 Agility (8 on each piece)
Damage: 75-135 (30 Lower DPS) (54 Upper DPS)
Total DPS: 42 DPS
Weapon Delay: 2.5

Now like most things there are exceptions, when you end up with a lot of agility (a *lot* meaning your ranged attack power is in the 1400++ range for a hunter, not including aspect of hawk or in the ~800+ for a rogue minus the above mentioned agility enchants of course) then the + haste could be beneficial. That being said, if there was a +1% crit rate, Id be all over those long before considering either agi or haste, and possibly even hp :)

Also, for PvP you dont want either enchant, what you want is +100HP, no question about it. But anyways, there are some numbers, take it how you want but the only real use for this libram is to make the ZG enchants, which freaking kick ass. This one is used for the hunter one

Just did the quest my second time, and it didn't seem to take the 2 shards I brought.&nbsp I didn't pay attention to the quest, but it looks like it doesn't take 2 large brilliant shards anymore (or just not on repeating it).

Kind of odd.

And yeah, it works for feral forms - more rage for bear (slight though), and faster in cat for <1 sec attack speed.&nbsp Consider that in cat form that it is the same DPS increase (1%) as crit, except that crit works with yellow damage very nicely.&nbsp It's neat it works, but in reality it isn't all that great.

For gloves I've switched to agi as well as on weapon when I get a decent one and the mats (iron counterweight has been nerfed to 2% at lvl60, and will drop more with levels), but for legs/helm it's still nice since those are hard to find enchants for currently (pre-expansion, 2.0 patch).

It's effectively x% more damage in the long run, just like crit, except it doesn't work on cat yellow damage and doesn't take into consideration that in PvP you move around a lot and it's easy to miss attacks with very fast attack speed.

So this could make lifesteeler proc more and such

I thought this was going to give me a 1% bonus to WALKING speed...I wasted a lot of money and time on this thing, and didn't see until I used it that it was ATTACK speed!

Don't waste your time on it if you're looking to move around faster, this will ONLY help your ATTACK SPEED.

Theres sure a lot of controversy over which of these librams a class should use. Although I cannot speak for hunters or warriors, I know the following information should help a rogue in his decision.

First off, I'd like to say that if you're at the point of raids you should just run ZG and forget about librams. The 1% dodge/28 attack power is supreme over 8 AGI or this about-equal +1% attack speed.

Now, lets consider the librams. Since these librams can be attached to two slots only, I will be considering for the effect of two librams.

16 agility, in total, adds:
-16 attack power (1.14 damage per second)
-About .5% to critical strike
-About .64% to dodge
-16 armor (not considered a big deal)

Now, 2% increased attack speed is a very argueable increase. If you think about it, if you do 100 damage per second, and then you do damage per .98 seconds, you will effectively do 2.04 more damage per second, meaning 102.4 damage per second. However, if you do 300 damage per second, the effective bonus is larger, adding 6.12 damage per second. This is obviously a lot larger than 1.14 damage per second.

DPS-wise, the agility might be worse for most level 60 rogues considering the librams. Each crit means an extra 100% damage for that swing, meaning 1% crit is about a 1% increase in damage. However, in a PvP status, one might prefer the .64% to dodge and the 16 armor.

In my opinion, the 1% haste is worth it until you can get the ZG enchant. Also, it costs a lot less than voracity.

I think that I must be either on a wildly different server than everyone else, or the drop rate has gone through the roof. If you pay more than 2 or 3g for a [Pristine Black Diamond], you're insane... they're really cheap, and since the book runs between 10 and 15g, this is maybe a 20g enchant - if you're not DE'ing your own shards.

Win :D

This is needed for the new hunter libram out of ZG, grab them before prices go up. The libram has 10stam 24/28 AP (forget which it was) and 1% to hit.

You also need a Primal Hakkari Stanchion, Punctured Voodoo Doll (hunter one) and friendly faction with ZG to turn it in at the quest giver inside ZG at the top of the golden pyramid.

I am having trouble turning the libram in to the NPC inside DM library, has anyone done it since the patch? The NPC won't do anything different whether i have the libram on me or not.
