ok, it's in DM north. right when you first enter, you walk in, walk down the ramp to the left, and then go left past the fire with the guys sitting around it. there is a door down a ramp that requires a cresant key. open the door, walk down the corridor and the guy is right there at the end

Give it to a warlock, I suggest being charitable to a superior class.

Did this with my 54 lock...had help from a 60 warrior.&nbsp I kept aggroing everything.&nbsp Make sure you have SS.&nbsp After about 6 trys, we finally made it.&nbsp It was well worth the hassel...AWESOME item.

do you need the key to solo the quest?

By Anonymous on 08/09/2006 (Patch 1.12.0)
I'm a level 60 lock and trying to solo this quest. Previous messages indicate that it can be soloed.&nbsp Maybe as rogue or druid and good stealth but not as warlock.&nbsp Easy enough to slip past guards to DM north door and get thru it without key (Simply die and ghost thru before ress)
Once in instance tho you have to get across pit to library.&nbsp Its not possible to go round or thru pit without aggroing dogs or mages.&nbsp
Gonna try again with invis. potion if one appears on AH.&nbsp If not just have to blast way in with party :)

Can u do this at 54 or 55?

the book says 54, but quest info says 55? :S

Comments like "120g was a ripoff" or "5g is dirt cheap" are inappropriate without knowing anything about the specific economy. Not only does each realm have a separate economy but the two Factions can be vastly different. Just as one example, I paid 7g each for Traveller's Backpack on the Alliance side of the server where I play but on the Horde side I've never seen them below 23g and often over 30g.

about different economy, thats damn right, it depends much also is the server new, how many rare items/patterns have been found and sold etc.
U can easily see changes on prices when patterns like "robes of arcana" (drop for tailoring for warlock quest) have been dropped more than for those lucky guys who knew what they were farming for.
About guilds: yeah, you should always get that kind of items free, it is just natural. Also vice versa, if u find something valuable (but not for you) it is good to ask if someone in guild needs it. We dont have to share everything, but it is really cool to get some gift sometimes and if you compare going grind for some item only by yourself...to that whole guild members are keeping eye on that item, chances to get it is much more better in latter case.

Note that a previous poster's info is outdated:

The Warlock's Royal Seal has 10 FR, like all the Seals, and now increases your spell damage by like 23.

Actually, for a Warlock, esp. one interested in damage, this is a pretty awesome trinket considering how easy it is to get.

I went today to the Library in Dire Maul North to turn in the book for my warlock, and it's very easy to reach alone as long as you wait for the patrols to pass.
When they pass, run to the stairs slightly to the left and jump up on the left railing or whatever you call it. It's broad, so it's more like a ramp if you know what I mean. :-)
When on the "ramp", look to your left. See the wall? Alongside it, there is a cornice or walkway or whatever it's called. :-)
Jump onto it in your best Tomb Raider style and keep running until you reach the stairs with another railing or ramp around them. Do the Tomb Raider again, and then drop down to the foot of the stairs, and you are directly in front of the big doors to the Library without spilling a drop of blood.

Of course, to do this, you need either the key to DM for both main entrance and the library door, or a rogue with you for lockpicking, or 2 x Powerful Seaforium Charge. The seaforiums worked nice for me.
