Just to add to the very helpful post above, this is pretty easy to solo. I had never been to the instance, however, so I didn't know what the North entrance was or how to get there. I'll try to clarify for complete noobs like myself.

As you come up to the main entrance, which is marked on the map, you'll go up a ramp which has an ogre at the top. There are walkways to the left and right, but you want to go straight through the big doorway and into a hallway that turns a couple of times ... there's only one way to go here, so just follow it. I was level 56 and I was able to go around the ogres without aggro. Watch out for patrolling packs of dogs, they're pretty frequent.

At the end of the hallway there's a giant door-looking thing, but you have to go around to the back of it to continue. It's pretty clear on the map. When you get around and through there's a giant open courtyard with a sunken forum in the middle and ogres all over. I stuck to the left wall and was able to get past all the ogres. Go all the way north here to find the door.

At the north end there's a ramp that is guarded by a couple of ogres that are a little too close to sneak by, at least at level 56. At this point I used my pet to distract them and ran to the door, feign death.

Here you either need a crimson key, which you can't solo, or you can use a powerful seaforium charge (if you're an engineer), which worked like a charm. Keep in mind that you'll need 2 of them, one for this door and one for a door in the instance. Behind this door is the start of the instance.

Once in the instance it's a short run to the door you need, but it needs to be well timed. You're looking out of an alcove in the wall, and slightly to your left is a ramp down into a central area. Watch the patrols for a little to see the pattern...there's a single ogre that moves right and left. You want to go when he's to the right. There's also a patrol of an ogre with 2 dogs that seems to wander around the whole area.

Once it's clear, run to the ramp and jump as you're going down the ramp onto the railing. You can't jump straight onto the railing, it has to be as you're going down the ramp...angle slightly to the left. You want to land as close to the beginning of the railing as you can. The group of giants there won't aggro you, but watch out for a patrol of dogs, they will aggro if they're close.

From the beginning of the railing jump down and hug the wall to the left. The door is right in front of you now. Just follow the wall around and go down into the doorwell. Another seaforium and you're in the hallway to the library...no more mobs to worry about!

Remember that you have to right-click the book to start the quest, and also pick up the pattern: mooncloth robe from the vendor in there...you can make a few gold in the AH.

The reward is the Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas.

https://classicdb.ch/item=35645

The only version available on thottbot is the mage version, but each class gets their own version of this.&nbsp The hunter version has the fire resistance, as well as a +48 to ranged attack power.&nbsp I've been told there's actually three possible ones for each class, so you may get one slightly different, I'm not sure.

The library is in the west wing I've found, but there may very well be passage to it from the north wing.&nbsp To get there from the west, work your way through the first room, around to the other side.&nbsp Down some stairs, you'll meet Warpwood, the ancient, who you'll have to fight.&nbsp Past him is a doorway to a corridor full of spirits.&nbsp They're not that bad, and you can fight through them easily, but they tend to spawn another one or two as they die, until you've fought three in a row, non-stop.&nbsp Past that is the Prison of Immolthar.&nbsp You have to fight a couple nasty air elementals, but work your way north once you enter the room, and there'll be another passage.&nbsp Through the door there is the library where you drop off the book.

You can solo this...You will need the crescent key to get into North Entrance and The Left Courtyard Door.

Sneek your way into DM..go to North Entrance..wait for patrol to pass..head halfway down ramp...if you go all the way down and try to cut left you will draw agro...so running jump on to the left side railing of ramp...Drop down to courtyard from ramp railing...walk over to left couryard door..open with key..follow the long hallway to library..She is on the right..turn it in book to get your trinket..stone out!

The powerful seaforum charges definitely do the trick, but there's an easier way to get past the ogres than jumping to the rail.

Follow Huck's tips to get past roamers and when you're at the bottom of the ramp and the three ogres around the fire are close to you just pop a Lesser Invisibility Potion - which can be had pretty cheaply off the AH (or if you have an Alchemist alt like I have) You can then invis past the group of ogres at the bottom of the ramp and head straight to the door to the west.

Cake walk.

so you don't waste a lot of time like I did...
It is not possible to do this solo as a hunter if you do not have the crescent key or you are not an engineer. As both directions you need to have the crescent key, or be a rogue, or be an engineer to get past doors in the instance.

North DM
Pass Patrolling Ogre to the ramp.
Jump on railing as close to top as u can
-with speed increase its about 2/3 way down
-with no speed increase its about 4/5
Run to top of railing.
Jump to courtyard and run to courtyard door, hugging railing as u go down ramp.
Follow the 40 mile hallway into the Library and look for that lovely yellow question mark.
And to the guy who said "What do i do with the trinket?"
The Book drops off random Mobs in DM.
You can solo this easily.
You need the Crescent key, Or seafom explosives or high enough lockpicking.

Prices depend on server population, as always... so unless you have chars on at least two of the above servers all your comments on prices and them being rip-offs are pretty much null and void.
The only person who can decide whether it was worth it is YOU, the buyer. Don't let other ppl tell you anything else.
I got mine for around 20g on Vashj, which has been an overpopulated server for around a year now, with prices soaring acordingly. I'd say that's a pretty good deal, especially considering it's now possible to make around 50g an hour just questing in Outland... Of course, most sellers know this, and will hike their prices accordingly.
As always, AH will be based on supply and demand (as it should be), which will be different on every server, and which will probably change on a daily basis on each server.

have to agree with the post up about how busy servers are but sometimes get lucky like me the other day just looking on AH just cause bored and this book goes around 20G - 30G and i got lucky and someone buyout for 5G which in the end the trinket cost me 1G cause i got 4G for handing in the task.

For other posts~ all you have to do once you have the book is go to the Library in DIRE MAUL where most people get the book if not from AH and hand it in, very simple and get money and a nice trinket :P
GOOD LUCK~

was cheap in the AH ~20g
Then I just went to Dire Maul and killed the ogres outside until I found someone who could open up DM North for me :-)
when you wait for the pat to go right and then jump on the ledge you dont even pull aggro at 54 :)
the trinket will last you quite long (for the second spot get devilsaur eye and later hellfire peninsula trinket)

I bought it for 2g lol, don't overpay, if it's not selling cheap in AH, just wait.

Bring someone with the Dire Maul key, and go in the North area. If they know anything about DM, then they should be able to escort you to the library without any troubles, turn in the quest there.

REWARD:
Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas 2-10g, it's well worth it.
