It seems that this thread has gotten off topic ie. Feral vs. Resto druids. To obtain the key, go up all the stairs at the DM entrance, take your first left and then first right, this will lead you into and open area, stick to the outside right and follow it around untill you can enter, take a left into the instance. The imp with the key is to your left, clear the room first as each time he talks to you he runs forward. He repeats this 4 or 5 times and then you must fight him and his buddies. After you kill him you get the key. Return to the open area and go down to the end. The door there will require the key you just obtained. Enter this instance and take the stairs to your left. At the bottom the door to your left is the one you need. If you are stealthed you should have no trouble (keeping in mind to watch the pats). Follow the hallway all the way down and you will reach the library. The one you seek is there. I just thought i would clarify, because i just finished it and not many of the preveious threads helped alot.

We are agreed 2nd best Rogues, 2nd best Tanks and 2nd best Healers in the game... why reduce us to Only being Healers.

Drui have FLEXIBILITY... Can your Tank or Rogue heal? Can your Priest tank if someone needs another?&nbsp Can your Rogue take a lot of Damage?

Stop being so narrowminded.

I soloed this at lvl 55, when you get to the entrance at the south of dire maul, stealth, go north, follow the hallway, it will turn right, then left, keep going north, then you will get to the commons, keep going north around the arena until you reach the stairs, enter instance on the right, go into open area, stay clear fo the elites here, they are 59, and will detect you if too close, go left and to the north, you will come to a stairwell going down, once in that door you can unstealth and follow hallway to the library, wuest ends there, also if you are on elven legends quest, it is in here as well, just click on the remains right next to the loremaster

Well at 60 I went ahead and did this. The info above is good, it is true. If you are a rogue or druid, you shouldn't have trouble here. The Hyenas will detect you, but the ogres will not, unless you are lower level. But the trick to get to the long tunnel is to ofcourse avoid the pats of hyenas if they are there when you get in the DM North instance. When its clear go down ramp..slightly towards the bottom, but not too close. Wait til hyena pats go by, and be careful of the ones that walk down the ramp eventually with the ogres. Timing is important. After the hyena pats go by, use Soothe Animal on the one next to the campfire. This will allow you to drop back to cat, and stealth away from him safely. Do not use hibernate, it will aggro the ogres. The tunnel..is clean. No worries! Enjoy the trinket!

This Book is for your Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas https://classicdb.ch/?item=18470

To obtain this book, it can be found from numerous bosses in dire maul who drop it, or, from the Auction house as some people like to sell these. Obtaining the actual trinket is actually quite simple for a druid. All you need is your crescent key, https://classicdb.ch/?item=18249 from the Imp in Dire maul east wing.

The best way to get this book is to enter the north dire maul instance. Once inside, go into cat form and stealth, walk left and go down the slope where you will see wandering dogs, and the ogre boss. Stay away from the dogs, they can see you in stealth. Now, when you get to the bottom, stealth left and you will see a locked door, this is where you can enter with your crescent key. Once inside follow the hallway to a room and you will see elven NPC's. The quest npc you seek is in this room and you can talk to him to complete. Congrats you have your trinket!

The reward is a druid-only trinket, Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas, and is obtained by giving the book to an NPC in the Athenaeum.

The easiest way I found to get there, provided you already have the Crescent key, is to go to the northernmost instance entrance in Dire Maul, behind the locked door (the ogre area). Inside the instance, go down into the pit area, take a left and go through the door, then down the hallway. If you're doing this solo, prowl will get you there just be sure to steer clear of the hyenas, as they see through prowl.

To enter the tunnel (DM north->Library) you must have the crescent key (the "DM key").

You can enter DM north instance without the key (die before locked door and ress behind the door), but nevertheless you need the DM key to enter tunnel to the library.

So, you might probably need to solo the DM key to do the quest.

I don't see the harm in Blizzard including another Druid Only trinket for those occasions when we are not used for healing.

Some people don't want to go to the end -game dungeons would prefer to PVP...a trinket adding to spell damage or buffing feral stats would be great too -)

Some variety is all I believe is being asked for above...

Lvl 60 Druid (End-Game Dungeons FTW!)

P.S. Then you have to turn the book in to the library to recieve the trinket.

i dont have a problem with it being an healer item, im a feral druid and i bought the book, because i wanted more fire resi. since my mc raid would disenchant the heal druid set items otherwise, i take them, well, now im a good healer in pvp and pve. noone ever complained about my healing or my feral item needs.
i use this item if i wear high fire resi, not just if im a healer. so, its ok for a feral.

Feral druids arent a complete waste end game. IF and i put emphasis on IF, your guild has adequate healing then a feral druid is a good accomplise to a rogue, warrior or casters. The 3%melee or spell crit buff is very helpful. ALso factor in, if the druid who is say feral has the correct gear he can hit just as ahard as an equal geared rogue and warrior. (I personally fully buffed in MC have achieved 1550AP and 36% to crit along with 4800health in cat form, Bear form sports just over 11karmor 987AP and 31%crit.) However obviously he wont have any stuns immobilizing effects ect ect. so wh ile they may not replace there parent class they can still hit just as hard and provide your uber rouges and warriors with a 3%crit buff...now again keep in kmind this is IF your guild has adequte healing if they do not then you as a druid better put on your casting gear and start healing, a druid is a HYBRID play it like one if your tagged to only one thing then your not playing the class right.

The turn in for this quest is in the library which can be found in the west instance entrace. Go west down the stairs - fight the lvl 60 tree ent, then there is a door in the area that you defeat the ent. Follow that hallway and you'll come to a room full of elementals. You should be able to sneak around the edges, go right and the next hallway leads to the library. On the bottom floor of the library is the turn in. This is also the area for the quest "Elven Legends".

I bought the book for under 20g on Kargath. 20g seems to be the going rate there. Turning in the book gets you Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas.

If you're a druid, the quest is easy, even soloable. You will need a way to open the 2 sets of doors: the Crescent Key, a rogue with 295 lockpicking, Large Seaforium Charge x2, or Arcanite Skeleton Key x2.

You need to enter through the Dire Maul North entrance. Unlock the doors to the instance entrance with one of the means mentioned above. Stealth straight ahead down into the pit. Avoid the dogs completely. They will see through stealth. Turn left and go to the door there. Open the door (this is the second locked door) and you're free and clear. No more need for stealth. The passage takes you to the library. Find the person you need to talk to to complete the quest, then you're done. Just don't talk to the Prince.

That's all! Happy questing!
