Prairie Alpha Tooth (8)

Description

There is but one water well left to cleanse, named after the Wildmane clan. For this well to be pure, the land must offer the teeth of a fierce predator, the prairie wolf alpha. Find the alphas to the north, then return to me when your hunt is finished.

Alphas often wander around the base of our mighty city, Thunder Bluff.

go to 56, 24 which is the edge of the road in red rocks, then from there just go directly northwest and u'll run into plenty in the wooded areas scattered around in the 53,20 area. but go from red rocks cuz u'll run into alot more that way.

I found some of the wolves south east by the harpies. It appeared that only the lvl 9 alpha wolves dropped the teeth, and not the lvl 10 ones.

The ones I killed up north I never got any teeth out of. :( I'll try those coordinates though.

I found it better to get them just east at the edge of the Barrens. Lots there, no worries of other types of mobs around. And did it on the way to doing my Druid quest @ lvl 10. EZ mode.

NO! They are not close to the God damn "Thunder Bluff"! Well, some of them are but most of them you can find around 51,21.

Can do this Quest along with "The Hunter's Way" Kill a few prowlers along the way and get the required claws.

This quest is a stupid pointless waste of time. The drop rate is so bad, you won't want the rewards for the quest series by the time you finish it - completely idiotic.

got em all in about 5-7 minutes at 65,59 near the border of the barrens. good drop rate, for me at least...

They're here and there, but mostly I found that they were stingy with the drops.

Found a whole swarm of Alphas around 48,18.

Note: it seems like the Prairie Wolf Alphas and Flatland Prowlers share spawns. So if you walk into the area and see only cats, kill them off to get more wolves.

I found them to have a decent drop rate at 65,58. It was a fairly easy quest...did as bear because often aggro'd where there were three together. Easy to do...drop rate isn't that bad.
