Stoma the Ancient has asked that you bring him a Mature Black Dragon Sinew. Should you find this sinew, return it to Stoma in Felwood.

	Mature Black Dragon Sinew

Description

Vartrus may offer you the stave to create a bow of Ancients but only I can enchant the string required to complete the bow.

It is a simple task, puny one. Slay a mature black dragon and remove the sinew from its bones. Return that sinew to me and I shall enchant the material into an almost indestructible bow string.

This is a drop from Onyxia, and used in the completion of the Hunter epic weapon quest. It has an approximately 20% drop rate, and can be looted even if you do not have the quest. If you are in a guild that is able to successfully down Onyxia, but you have not yet reached Majordomo, make sure that you are still handing these out to your hunters. This is a useless item for any other class.

Haha... I think some people are misunderstanding the quests here.

There are really 2 separate quests we're talking about.&nbsp One requires killing onyxia and the other involves killing 4 demons.&nbsp The Onyxia quest simply requires you to get the black dragon sinew, you can fight her in a raid group and you'll probably have to go many times to get the sinew.&nbsp The second quest involves 4 demons located in various parts of the world.&nbsp You have to fight these demons 1 on 1, any help from other people or from your pet will cause the demon to despawn.

For all those who can't seem to find the elders, simply go to felwood and look for a large, charred valley by the north end. Look for a ring-shaped lake, it has a small isle in the middle of it, this isle has a small hill. The most noticeable thing of this particular area is 3 petrified, human-like trees that seem to be in pain. That's the spot.

To talk to them, simply go to the isle and get to the top of the hill, 3 spirits will appear, you can talk to only one of them, for now.

If you are too far to talk to them, you can walk to them, they won't despawn too quickly.

I have finished killing the four demons yet I can only talk to one of the ancients. No other hunter that I have talked to is having this problem. I have the black sinew too - but because I can't turn in the sinew to make it enchanted I am stuck with a block of wood and some sinew. What gives?

So excited the snew just dropped for me, unfortunately I'm not in a MC raiding guild (or any guild at all) So I dont think I can get my epic bow till I get the Petrified Leaf. Is it possible to get the bow without the leaf?

just got the leaf last night, managed to kill 3 demons b4 the server shut down for maintenence, WS, Un'goro and BS demons. The BS demon is bugging since the patch change to scropid sting but still very easy fight. Other 2 are pretty easy just take practice at keeping the WS demon far enough away. Gonna try to Silithis demon 2morow.

Aint got the mature black dragon sinew yet, hoping it drops soon coz i rly want this bow so badly ^^

WHY DOES ONYXIA HAVE TO BE A PART OF THIS STUPID QUEST!

I can never get anybody to do jailbreak (I've tried and failed over 20 times), and after that I have to do a bunch of quests and an UBRS run.&nbsp I didn't know you had to be attuned to get the bow, so I turned down blastershot launcher for a chance at this (dunno why the GM wouildn't let me have both, every other hunter already had rhok.)

Now, with 2 weeks left until the expansion and absolutly NO free time in rl, I have to accomplish what I couldn't finish in 3 months PLUS the demon killing.&nbsp QQQQQQQQ THIS SUCKS!

Seriously this vacation ( which is over tomorrow)I've gotten as much stress from WoW (really just jailbreak) as I do during school.&nbsp WHY DOES ONYXIA ATTUNEMENT HAVE TO INVOLVE OTHER PEOPLE?&nbsp I mean jeezz...

Is the drop for this thing like an item, so if there's more than 2 hunters that need the sinew only 1 could take it? Or is it like a quest item, so everyone with the quest can pick it up?

The drop rate is arround the 15% so that means you have to do it loads of times to get it... kill the big fat ass dragon

I just did this ok if there are still quesions basiclly you recieve the leaf from domo which starts the quest you must kill 4 demons (elites) by yourself each with a weakness then go in a raid to ony and get the sinew which then creates both weapons.

Its simple really you need pots and all that stuff for each demon for example ungoro 1 in all nature dmg so you kill her with nature pots and another hunter FD with aspect of wild on which frees up another for u

Your pet can be used but the demon will use this aoe which kills your pet in 1 hit this goes for all demons

I like Tkasomething.com that helped me complete it also for hrde since we dont have fear ward if you duel a warlock during the fight he can cast curse of recklessness on you which makes you immune to fear

I hae been awaiting this quest scince lvl 1 i am finally lvl 60 and begining this quest but i am&nbsp bit stuck with killing the demons i have killed 3 but cant seem to kill the last one for some strange reason.. i have not been able to download the tutorials of how to do it so could some1 post it thanks..

PS: the bow has to be the best bow but staff :( looks crap :)

Now, the petrified leaf is a tricky business. It is said that, if a hunter opens domo's chest, the leaf will drop, and if a priest opens it, the eye will drop.

This is mostly accurate, however, there is a twist to it.

**If a hunter who has the leaf, the quest or Rhok'Delar opens the chest, the leaf won't drop**

Now, this is just a theory, and I'm basing it on the fact that i noticed that hunters with Rhok'Delar opened Domo's chest and the eye kept dropping for quite a few months in a row.

So, my theory so far is, that if a hunter that does NOT have the leaf opens domo's chest, said leaf will drop. (I'm basing that on the fact that when I opened the chest, the leaf DID drop). Same deal for a priest who does not have the eye.

Anyone willing to help me test this theory? I could only do it once p
