will someone plz give some freakin coords? damn, everyone says how they do it, but plz say WHERE they do it.

If not coords plz say where the f to go...

====EDIT=====
Gotta do it yourself, i guess.

In the cave at 41.53 (on the map, the 2nd from Left cave in the cauldron).

Go all the way back into that cave, through the door. you'll see a ramp on the right side, follow that up, keep going straight (don't hang the U-turn to keep climbing up). You'll find Maltorius on the next turn to the right. He casts shields on himself too.

Note that you can find entry to 'The Slag' at a few of those caves on the map, but my directions are how i did it.

Actual location on the map is 41.25 but the cave doesn't show on the main map.

You guys are all going the slow way, the fastest way to Maltorius is to go into the far right cave, the one next to the incendosaur cave. You go through there, over a bridge and into a large room with some mobs. Kill those and turn left. Youll get to the little ledge that Maltorius (50 elite) and his two guards (48 elite) are standing with the firey flux on a bench behind them. I went and did it with a 48 shammy and a 48 hunter. And me, a lvl 51 warrior. Hunter sent his pet in first. Then i charged at Maltorius and hacked away at him whilst the shammy healed me. The hunter just kept getting sheeped lol. When id got his hp down to red and right near the end. The shammy ran out of mana and i died. The hunter fimished off maltorius and the nwe all killed the guards. and the hunter said "I think when i killed maltorius, i did well" the cheek!

Enter the cave at 49,45 (on your map, that's the cave next to the capital letter C of "The Cauldron").&nbsp Follow the short path, stay to the left, there they are.

Kay, this is assuming you're at 60, have some way to heal yourself rapidly, and can shield yourself for about 3 or so seconds. Also, having GOOD equipment helps alot too.

Basicly, when you get up to where the boss is, you'll see he's guarded by two 48 elites. Now, the problem most people have is they rush in and attack the boss, ignoring the guards.

BAD IDEA.

Those guards have got to die first, however, killing them both at the same time probably wont happen, so here's what your gonna do.

Notice how the boss is on a ledge, that's a clue. If you throw yourself off the ledge, the boss and his guards won't follow you. That's your escape route. This battle will be done in three rounds.

When you rush in, target a guard, if you can somehow pull him away from the boss, all the better, if not, you're going to have to tank the boss and the other guard, while you take down your target.

As a Paladin, I just took the damage, using Seal of the Crusader plus blessing of Might, and used Lay on Hands near the end of it.

Any other job is going to simply want to stun the other guard in some way, and then proceed to lay the hurt down on the second guard. All the while, you'll have the boss casting his shdadow bolt at you. THIS IS GOOD! If you have high resistance to shadow, you'll get nothing but resists. I have 10, and I got a total of one hit for about 15 damage out of all his casts.

Anyways, when the first guard dies, bubble, hide, do something, and jump off the cliff. It's about 1K damage, but the good news is, you're safe from the boss and his guard. Now double back, and go after the second guard. This fight will be alot easier, since you just have the boss attacking you and the guard you're focusing on. Stun him, and kill him off. Then hurl yourself off that ledge one final time.

As of 2.0.4, this quest gives 250 Thorium Brotherhood rep.

The entrance into the right part of the Slag Pit is around 49,46 (I recommend jumping down from the top) After clearing a few lvl 46-47 mobs, this guy will be on a kind of balcony with two level 48-49 elites. He himself is a 50 elite.

Be careful, the guy crits for 450-480 on plate (no shield), and the other two elite are pretty tough too.

Be sure to complete this with "What The Flux?" - https://classicdb.ch/?quest=7722

Overseer Maltorius is a level 50 elite guarded by two level 48 elite bodyguards. To get to him, you enter the mines, head to the north, through the barred door, all the way east, and follow the ramps up to the recreational rooms.

You'll want to kill the bodyguards first. They don't have a lot of hitpoints, but Maltorius does, and if you try to kill him first, you're going to find yourself taking a lot of damage for a long time.

As a level 60 hunter, I killed the bodyguards, feigned out of battle, rezzed my pet, and then took down Mal. Something funky with the latest patch causes the fire-based DoT that Maltorius casts to do an awful lot of damage per tick, so do your best to drain him of his mana (he doesn't have a lot). Once he's drained, he has to resort to melee, and then he's not a problem.

Two lvl 48 elites, one lvl 50 elite
That was hard as hell, wasted ~15 meat and ~15 water.

First part:
I've tryed to kill one of lvl 48 elite
  • Layed down trap
  • casted "intimidation" on pet (stun + extra agro)
  • activate "devilsaur eye" (+150 AP)
  • send pet
  • aimed shot
  • then serpent sting and autoshot....
  • after few shots i did multishot so they agro me and other bodyguard stepped on trap.
If Overseer polymorphed me or my pet then chances was almost zero.
But anyway when i was about to lose i just did Feign death and let them kill my pet.
(was success at 3rd attempt)

Second part:
Now i've tryed to kill second bodyguard (lvl 48 elite), but that was easy.
(succes at 1st attempt)

Third part:
Now i've tryed to kill Overseer, that was very very hard, he had lots of hp, i had to use Feign Death+ress pet many times, and polymorph of course was the most annoying thing, but in the end i decised to use this tactic:
  • casted "intimidation" on pet (stun + extra agro)
  • activate "devilsaur eye" (+150 AP)
  • send pet
  • aimed shot
  • viper sting (to drain all mana)
  • Rapid Fire (not necessary, because you soon have to heal pet anyway)
  • when viper sting wear off, use serpent sting
when pet is on ~75% hp start to heal him
  • if you see he's about to poly you, just use feign death.
(was succes on ~5th attempt)

Btw if you kill bodyguards, they won't respawn (i guess), and i was lucky my Feign death didn't resisted, that mean i didn't die.

I had trouble finding this myself so I thought I'd be specific.

He can be found inside a cave called the Slag Pit. It's the second cave from the left. Once inside work your way in and turn left when you see a gate. There will be a winding ramp up and soon enough you'll see a balcony with Overseer Maltorius and his adds. It's at about 40,36, don't mistake this co-ordinate for the same area above ground.

When I did this quest I found a rare spawn but he's pretty easy to take down so I took him down first. There are two ways to go about doing this, one is to keep them scattered and focus dps on one, and the other is to use a form of CC and focus dps on one. I would recommend taking out each of the two guards before moving on to the Overseer as he has about 14,000HP and hits pretty hard.

Behind him is the plans for the quest "What the Flux?". If you're just after that you could fear them all, run in, get the plans and jump out.

Drink any potions you can (mongoose, agility, stamina, use a scroll etc.)&nbsp Have on hand some Whipper Root Tubers and Night Dragon's breath along with healing potion.&nbsp I had my trinket "Chained Essence of Eranikus" this also helped.

1. Apply poisons (mind numbing and instant)
2. Sap boss.
3. Pull his ads back and pop evasion, blade flurry, adrenaline rush.&nbsp They should go down easy.
4. While he is still sapped, bandage.
5. Wait for your energy to hit 100 and then lay into him.&nbsp Give him everything you got.&nbsp Pop the DOT trinket (if you have it) and alternate between eviscerate and kidney shot.
6. If necessary use blind, bandage.
7. Depending on how the fight goes you will problably have about 200HP left =P.

This boss is very tough for a 50 Elite and shouldn't be soloed unless you know what you are doing.

The easiest way to find him: go to 48-44 on left side of tower, then drop down go in to tunnel, veer to the left and there he is. He hits pretty hard and uses polymorph. Did this quest with 56 pally and 54 warrior and was still tough. With a good dps and healer shouldnt be too much of a problem.

The overseer and his two guards are not a problem in them selves. the problem with this quest is getting to them. Here's how:

1. got to the edge of the cauldron as far as you can get to co-ordinates: 41, 54 and drop over the edge on to the platfrom.

2. Turn arround and you should see the enterence to a cave inside are slaves with pickaxes...

3. At the back left hand side of the cave is what looks likea jail door (co-ordinates 37, 44 Underground!), go through it.

4. Follow the passage until you come to a large roughly round room with ramps leading up in a spiral. Follow the ramps up as high as you can go and you should enter a corridor thats decorated with bences and beds ect, follow along until you come to the end and you are shown 2 ways to go. The one on the right hand side leads to a small plateau overlooking the area you traversed erlier.

5. On the plateau you will fing the overseer and his two punk guards kill them, loot his head and then get the plans off of the table behind him to complete the "What The Flux" mission as well!

6. Now jump off the edge of the plateau to get back down as it cuts a large portion of the journy back out!

I just solo'd this as a 60 resto druid. I pulled the two guards out a little way, Regrowth, Rejuv and into bear form. Took down one (Resisted all of Maltorius' shadowbolts) and by the time I had killed one of the guards Maltorius was OOM. Took down the next guard with ease and then it was just a case of shifting out and healing occasionally to take down the overseer. Typical druid fight though - took forever.

I soloed this as a level 60 hunter. I did it by taking out 1 add, feigning, healed up, took out add 2, rested, took him down. As a hunter, use viper sting - he hasn't got much mana, 2 vipers and he is at 0, but you have to keep him viper'ed, since he only needs like 250 mana to polymorph.

Did this quest about 30 mins ago.

After our first whipe me(52 holy priest) and my good friend(56 warlock) decided it was time for a change of tactics.

I would mind controll onf of the bodyguards and have him be killed by his friends. Only when I would give the signal my friend would send his voidwalker in to take the beating. Needless to say the moment I MC'd the bodyguard I see a voindwalker rushing in on the other 2.

After numerous cries of 'no' 'NO' 'NOOOOOO' etc, from my side. We realised we should make the best of it regardless of the odds. 30 seconds later we had 3 very angry mobs and 0 voidwalkers around us.

At this point one of us panicked and used the AoE fear spell. As we all know feared mobs have the nasty habit of locating the nearest group of mobs and running into them. Multiply this by the 3 we were fighting and you can only begin to imagine the situation we had gotten ourselfs into.

We took turns in fearing while he did damage and took the beating that comes with it. I just did all I could to keep him alive. We actually won the battle and had about 3% hp and no mana left. But we won, and man... did we feel like god there.

Viper sting to pull and freeze trap for the overseer. Have warrior and/or rogue MT one guard. Scattershot the 2nd. Pet and MA help on first guard until the 2nd guard comes back. Trap lasts 28 seconds with 2 talent points in clever traps, which was plenty of time to finish both guards, warrior to bandage and then everyone went all out on the overseer. level 46-49 - piece of cake.

Did this solo just 5 minutes ago with my lvl 52 Night elf Shadow Priest.

No problem to get to him.
Put on power word fortitude, inner fire and shadowform (cause it makes u resist 15% melee damage) and rest.

Stand just in range for mind control and cast Mind control on Overseer Maltorius himself. He has 14 000 healt and hits for 300-400 on each hit. His both adds have 4500 healt and hit for about 300 per strike vs me.

When Maltorius is in your control just make him attack his adds, but don't let him kill any of them and only attack melee. He has 4 spells. polymorph, shadow bolt, shield and Shadow word: pain. Don't use them.

The adds will take him down to about 1000-3000 hp if none of them dies or Mind Control fails. When you think u can take him just use polymorph on one of the adds and out of mind control. Put up shield and Shoot Maltorius with everything u got.
Then run or try to stay and fight the adds (they haven't got much hp left after this).

Solod this on my lvl 48 Affliction Warlock.

The guards don't respawn until you kill the Overseer, so you can kill one, get out of combat (you can jump down at the right onto a platform where they can't reach) and go back up and kill another so you're left alone with the Overseer.

First guard I took down by drain tanking it, while fearing the other guard and seducing the overseer. Second guard the same, and after that I just feared and dotted the overseer to death (make sure you clear the room in front of it so you don't get adds).
