53,31 is loc

I found the cave to be north of where everyone else seems to think they are.&nbsp I found it at 53,32.&nbsp That's halfway between Dire Maul and the Twin Colassals, off the right hand side of the road.&nbsp Level 46-48, tho mostly 47 & 48.

Like the previous quest in the chain, the hides are now obtainable from both skinning and killing, effectively doubling the drop rate for skinners.

There was no low drop rate at Tloc 51,31.
Got 7/10 from the mobs just outside the cave.
The other 3 where a bit slow. like every 3:e or 4:e droped. If u are a skinner u have advantage. They drop on that to.

And pull just one @ time. If u cant pull then get sumthing u can do it with or get help with sum1 who can.

Exact location is 52.32 labelled as rage scar hold

had to kill 15 yetis and on my 14th i got the perfect hide, no need for skinning...

Does anyone else find it awkward that there are shelves and books in the cave? I mean, so these "Raged" Yeti actually sit down and read? Strange...

After reading this quest (and the comments) I was very dubious about trying it out and I was close to postponing it until I hit level 46.

In any way, I decided to go and check it out. I did this without any major difficulties as a level 45 (primarily) feral specced druid. The yetis were all level 47 besides one and I could kill them one on one without any problems.

I went there and prowled around and simply just got them one by one slowly. Obviously I (as a stealth class) have an advantage, as I can go in and check out the surroundings nearby mobs which might chain-agro etc. Anyhow I always got them single by just prowling into them in cat form, shred etc. When I killed a mob, I usually had 35-50% left or so (depended on how much they parried my combo points attacks), besides once when a level 48 spawned it got a bit more close as I was down to 10-20%. Anyway, regular form, heal up and back on track. Literally no downtime at all. I was close to dying once when the patrol came, had to make a run for it. Just ran down the hill, out of combat and up again. No matter.

The droprate for me was about 50% or so. I am a skinner and like the previous quest with the lower leveled yetis you can actually skin yourself to these hides. So if it didn't drop you had an additional (I estimate it to) 50% chance to get a hide. At a time I even killed one, looted a hide and skinned another hide. That was great :) All in all, fairly easy quest - just check it out with prowl, make sure your target isn't near the patrol and have a good sense of when they respawn. I killed about the 6 same spawns 3 times or so. Took me 25 minutes max.

Pretty much done with all my quests in Feralas now. Shame. I really liked the zone. Did all the ogre-slaying, the natural materials farming, gnoll slaying, yetis, bees, stinglasher etc. Oh well.. Time to move on :(

Rage Scar Yeti cave is at 53,31.

Cleared the entire cave, some outside to get all 10 yeti hides. Got the perfect yeti hide on the 5th kill. Doesn't require skinning at all. Found 2 mithril deposits in the cave.

on the map to the right of the word twin colossous&nbsp go a bit right and down when you fall down there you'll see a gold mine and gold thron on a lil bump of land. go behind the tree next to it is the cave.

And from skinning you also get the Perfect Yeti Hide, which starts another quest.

at 52,32 is the right place to find the right yeti's it's in a cave alot outside think it took me like 18 kills to get 10.

It took me 35 yeti kills (all rage scar) to get my 10 hides. The perfect hide dropped twice in that time.

I had no problem with this quest. Honestly I didn't even go into the cave. The respawn rate was so quick I killed em and got my hides quite fast. I did this quest at lvl 45.

The cave isn't hard to find as you may think either. Follow the road until you are directly South of the Twins and head right. You'll find the Yeti up a hill - The Yeti range from lvls 46-49 from what I saw.

Completed as a level 44 rogue.

If you pull 1 at a time then it's pretty easy, however I did go to around 30-50% health off each one. The 46's are the best to kill, only lost about 10% health off them. Skinners are lucky here as they&nbsp can get the hides from skinning, aswell as the Perfect hide.

I have skinning 300. Got one hide with every kill. 10 kills 10 hides from skinning.

(as protection warrior level 47 i could fight 2 of these at once..)

Lvl 45 Troll Enh Shaman - Easy as pie.

Got wonderful rested xp (606xp a pop) and a decent drop rate.

The Yeti's are around 52, 32 area.

The trick is to pull them one at a time, but be careful of patrolling Yetis - there seem to be a lot of them.

Decent reward, too.

To all the drama queens: Did this no problems on my 46 rogue. Had to use a health potty afer getting jumped by 3 yetis....so to all you that say they can't do it at lvl 45...stop biitching and just do it. And to the guy who did at 42, NO WAY..

utter crap drop rate, must have killed over 50 and got 2 hides.... hate quests with drop rate this poor, even with xp gain it just takes to long.

I believe the drop rate change since i do it like 6 month before now its almost a 100% drop i believe its a 80%

I soloed this as a 46 lvl hunter with my cat.&nbsp Piece of cake, especially with the right buffs and potions.&nbsp Only needed one healing potion, but wish I had taken the time to make some mana potions.&nbsp I drank alot of the stuff inside the cave.&nbsp Watch out for the mobs when you enter the area and exit the cave, take them one at a time and it shouldn't be a problem!&nbsp Drop rate was not so great, I killed the all outside going into the cave, in the cave, and finally got all the hides when I killed the last yeti on my way out of the area.

After I did this quest, Jangdor Swiftstrider mailed me a Rugged Armor Kit.

hm why i killed like 30-35 Yetis and didnt drop even 1.............

Is this a chain q because Id love to get it to my rogue (lvl 45, good gear)

Lvl 46 mage no problem killing yetis but i had bad luck with drop rate =(

I was worried when I was reading the other comments, but I thought I would give it a whirl. Traveled there and was killed by the random apes and wolves, found my corpse and pulled the Yeti down and let my pet do some of the work. Im a 44 hutner and I was surprised at how good the drop rate was,got 7 skins right away then the last 3 took a little longer.

Soloed with a 44 Cat Druid. Not easy to do at that level but do-able. Stealthed in past the beast mobs and pulled with faerie fire. Had to heal after most fights. Nice tunic for a rogue or feral druid though.

cleared the whole cave as well... no rage hides. what gives? lvl 49 hunter

The cave entrance is at 52,31.

This quest went really fast because I had skinning so some times I got two instead of one.

I've attempted to do this quest 3 times and I've gotten no rage hides, completely cleared the cave.

those having problems must be at the wrong cave. make sure you're at rage scar hold. the coords 52,30 are correct. never even had to go in cave. there were plenty outside.

hit the cave and if you're a skinner, skin and you'll be done in 5-10

watch the way there 48-50 bears, apes, wolves. You need to climb the foilage some, start a little north of the nav points listed and then you'll see them at the slight elevation you'll be on.

the Ferocious Rage Scar and the Elder Rage Scar drop these at 51,33. Not the enraged ones. There's a 2nd rage scar hold almost directly north of the first one.

this quest is pretty easy if your a skinner.. double your chances of drops. i did this quest as a lvl 47 hunter, path to cave is at 51,32 but i didn't need to enter the cave. got all 10 hides from outside:D

BTW when i finished this q i receved a mail from the q giver !

2.3: Just did it with my 50 druid, got the hides in about 25 kills. So maybe they boosted the drop%.

This quest gives 6300 xp as of patch 2.3.
