Gammerita, Mon!

Katoom the Angler at Revantusk Village in the Hinterlands wants you to kill Gammerita and retrieve Katoom's Best Lure from her corpse.

Katoom mentioned that Gammerita hangs out on the coast with the other turtles.

Description

Yo! There be a turtle out there not like the others. She be the Gammerita, leader of the saltwater snapjaws - a downright dirty thievin' reptile.

Mon, she stole my best lure. Snapped it right off my line! Since then, the fish just aren't biting the same.

Find Gammerita and get my lure out of her stomach.

Gammerita goes up and down the coast, she turn around from north and starts heading south at 80,57.

Well, Gammerita is just a nod at the legendary Gamera from Japanese films. I like the way Blizzard reference other area of film, movies, cartoon and video games into their game. They even have reference to Mario & Luigi in Un'Goro. What a hoot.

As for Gammerita, every time I go along the coast I can't find her or I find her already dead. Blizzard need to low the respawn time on this mob to like 5 or 10min. Right now it seems like an hour or more.

She is an easy kill for any class that can kite. Just kite her to the guards at Revantusk Village, and they will attack her. Just make sure you've done enough damage to her that you are still able to loot her.

Soloed her as a level 45 hunter. I just kited her down to the horde village and let the gaurds finish her off. Make sure you've taken off enough of her life and don't feign death or she might not count as your kill though.

Took this turtle down as a 49 Rogue. She hits for around 120-200 on normal hits, 300+ on criticals. His attack speed isn't fast, but I did have to take a Major Healing Potion towards the end.

If you're a rogue, cheapshot as your opening, then pop Evasion, get 5 points on her and kidney shot. I used Deadly Poison on both blades which procs fast and helped a great deal. The fight lasts long enough and you should get another kidney shot on her.

Soloed at 48.&nbsp found gammerita(48 elite) at 79.55 near the empty hut.&nbsp she hits around 200+ on normal and 400+ on crits.&nbsp It's a bit tough but managed to kill her at my first try. Cold snap and Frost nova will be your bestfriend.&nbsp Goodluck

Killed the guy at 44 (Priest) Just aggroed him and pulled him back to the guards. Make sure you do a little damage so it is claimed by you, but not too much so the guards can pull it off.

Solo'd as a 46 priest, used one mana pot. As Horde, Gammerita is the only hostile mob in the area, so you can fear with impunity.

The turtle can be found right out of the village, try following the coast toward the waterfalls.. she's a blue snapjaw 48 elite (quite easy to kill)

Soloed as a level 47 warlock. It took every last trick I had. SB spam, feared her twice, first aid bandage, healthstone, mana potion, and Death Coil to finish. Very possible and helpful that the other turtles do not aggro.

i lucked out on this one! i ran into Gammerita (nice play on Gamera's name there, Blizz!) right outside the post's gates. she's 7200+ hp. my pet died and i was running low, when i just happened to run close enough to pull the post's guards. i FD while they hacked her down to a few hundred hp, then i jumped back up, finished the job and looted the lure.

If she's not near the troll villiage, then pop on your mana shield or ice shield, aggro with your biggest nuke (nearby snapjaws won't aggro). Then kite her while running sideways shooting FireBlast or CoC. She's very slow. This is good kite training.

Gammerita is a level 48 elite turtle. She is easy to spot, as she is very blue (instead of the usual grey turtles found in the area). She can be found all over the place, from down in the water all the way up to the area next to the mountains, so you'll just have to run around a bit. Usually if you run from Revantusk Village to the waterfall, you'll spot her along the way.

She hits pretty hard, but my level 48 Shadow priest was able to solo her (barely). Get someone else who needs the quest to help you. Easy xp and it has a very nice money reward to boot.

Solo'd as a 49 mage. She was very easy for me, but I crit'd 4 or 5 times with my frostbolt.

I found her 78,68 walking south from there.

I Solo'ed her as a 45 'lock. Found her just outside of town with all the other snapjaws. Its just my luck that I killed her before i got the quest and now i have to wait for her to spawn. Pretty easy kill for locks. Just sent in the vw, dotted her, then when i pulled aggro i chain feared for just a bit. never got hit and finished with about 1/5 mana. easy...

all warlocks out there .. killing it as lvl 47 is pretty easy.. especially if you have Demonology build ...

i did it without Potion, Bandage, or Healthstone ... just remember to fear it ...

As stated before, it's no longer elite but he has this pierce armor move that reduces your armor by 50 %. Still kind of tough to a warrior :-).

If she was elite at one point, she's not anymore. She's just a named level 48 turtle. She's aggressive and not passive like the rest of them. I found her at co-ordinates 77,66 with the other turtles. Just type in /target Gammerita and if you do target her just look around for which one of the turtles has text above them.

Killed her as a level 50 enhancement shaman. Standard kill. Two lightning bolts, put up lightning shield, hit her with stormstrike and a good whack or two from your weapon. Cake, and easy XP.
