Lard at Revantusk Village in the Hinterlands wants you to find Lard's Lunch. Return to him when this task is complete.

Lard mentioned that he left it on the island to the north. Watch out for Vilebranch trolls.

Lard was at secret special spot having picnic when ugly mean Vilebranch hit Lard wit da big stick. Lard run back to Revantusk but forget Lard lunch. Lard hungry. Maybe you go back to secret special spot and get Lard lunch? Lard scared. Go nort! Island der to da nort is da secret special spot.

I can't see how the other warrior could not solo this quest at Level 53. I did this at level 53 and I'm protection specced. The three Level 49 trolls were wondering why I wasn't doing any damage. When I told them I was Prot specced, they felt sorry for me and handed me Lard's lunch. They even got a canoe and ferried me back to the shore so I won't get tired.
What nice trolls they are.

The lunch is on the island located at 84, 41.&nbsp You open it and 3 mobs come at you.&nbsp Kill one mob, loot Lard's lunch from him, and run from the others.

Alright, this is how you do the quest:
First, swim to the small island north-east of the big waterfall (Hinterlands). There you'll find a picnic basket. If you're solo, prepare yourself for a tough fight - as soon as you open the basket, 3 level 49 trolls spawn around you and instantly attack you. You have to kill at least one of them, all three carry Lard's Lunch... So if you're quick with looting, killing only one of them will suffice.

Your mileage may vary, but here's what I did to solo this as a 47 druid (and druids are good at this)...

Run away.

One of them keeps following you out into the water.&nbsp After the other two stop chasing, fight the one that kept following.&nbsp When he's dead, you've completed the quest.

Druid style ftw.

Lion pet. Spec'd with Beast Mastery. Had Well Fed with +12 stam and Rumsey Rum Black Label for +15 stam.

After clicking item, pet attacked the first one to hit me. Hit Bestial Wrath. The other two worked on me. Took a healing potion when low. Wasn't enough. When I was low again on health, Feign Death. Came back and Assisted pet using Rapid Fire. Me and pet both almost died, but finished. Tried it twice before I was successful.

soloed as a 50 druid, when i was ready (died once). you really need to kill only one, the other ones won't give you anything.

This has nothing to do with Vilebranch Ambushers ... It's Vilebranch kidnappers .. and they are L49 x 3.

I did it solo as a 49 Druid w/ Feral gear and a Resto build... It was challenging, but not hard.

Just did this as 48 Warrior, used Mind Control Cap right off and killed one. Then killed the other, used health pot and shrink ray to kill the last one, had 93 hp left.

you can ealsiy kil one, grab the lunch and run.

So far this quest has sucked as a 45 fire mage.&nbsp First attempt I tried pulling one away to kill, but they all kept clumping on me, so after two unsuccessful pulls they despawned.&nbsp Second attempt I pulled one away long enough to kill it then ran away for five seconds as the other two chased me, when I ran back to where I killed the first one it had disappeared. No body, no loot.&nbsp Was only away from him like 10 seconds.&nbsp Third attempt I decide to try my hand at aoe.&nbsp This mght've worked had I not lagged myself out with mad aoe, end result - I'm dead and they're all at 50%.&nbsp Hate this quest, getting a party together for it now. Ugh.

The mobs that spawn can use Execute, so you should hold your health above 20%. I got killed the first time I tried because of that.

After you've killed the trolls you might think its a good idea to click the picnic basket again. Yes, the trolls spawn again.

Lard's lunch is looted from the mobs, not the basket.

Take care while doing this, I didn't know there was troll popping when you clicked the lunch on the ground (84, 41). Used Retaliation and I was fine.

solo,d at 52. prep with shield and touch of weakness. click lunch box. focus on first to appear to your left (although not the first to drop the lunch :-(&nbsp ) pain, mb, smite, fear...stay on original target. Wash and repeat until all dead and your whites come out nice and clean.

The island is at 84,41.
That is North along the coast of Revantusk Village, untill you get to the end, then swim North East.
His lunch is lying on the ground, click it.
3 mobs will appear, you just have to kill 1 of them, loot it, get "Lards Lunch" and run.
As of 2.3 you get 6550 exp, 1g 40s and "Lard's Special Picnic Basket".
Mine contained 2 boe greens and some pots.

When you go to the pincic basket which should be all the way north from Raventusk Village, (yes you do have to swim across to the island there) you will find Lard's Picnic Basket there. Don't think its that easy because once you open it, 3 LV49 Vilebranch Kidnappers will come out. All you have to do is kill one of them (perferably the first mob you kill) and loot Lard's Lunch from it and you are done.

What I did was use Imitaditing Shout when I got the necessary rage and fired it to send at least one of them running. With only 2 on me now, I managed to take enough damage to kill one of them and loot it before I died. Just make sure you have good gear (at least all green with Stamina and Strength) and at least 1 35 Healing Potion and you will be fine.

Also, what I got out of the Piinci Basket? Pretty good stuff. Here is the list:
Grinning Axe of the Wolf
Chromite Legplates
1 Moonberry Juice
4 Superior Healing Potion

Don't make the same mistake I did and take the basket again after killing the trolls. They will spawn again and they give no exp for killing. :(

I died three times doing this, as a lvl 49 Rogue. The best way I found was to open the basket then run to the southwestern shore (the closet obviously), doing this left me with one guy, who was easy enough to kill and he dropped the lunch for me.

Did it very easy as a 47 troll shadow priest ... buffed up used levitate opened the box and pulled them out on sea. SwP' ed one of them to keep aggro longer and lost the other two.

First time I tried this, level 50 hunter, was a surprise to see the three trolls spawn. Recovered enough to kill them all.. then healed.

But I thought they had interupted me picking up the lunch...and since they were dead, should just pick up the lunch again....WRONG ...DEAD.

Checked this site AFTER and found out that the mobs dropped the lunch...so then killed one, freeze trapped one...and drew another out in the water to kill..feigned n looted the one killed in the water.

The mobs that attacked me were Vilebranch Kidnappers, lvl49. Not Vilebranch Ambusher.

One of them dropped the Lard's Lunch, the others dropped nothing.

Eesy quest if you know how to crowd controll as a mage.

Solo'd as a 48 warlock, simple really did not even use a soul stone, fear one DOT one nuke the other then finish the last one off, found the lunch on the body of the last one.

I actually thought it was fun to do this quest brand new without any spoilers out there. I almost even soloed it accidentally (me 49, they 49x3) w/o knowing at all what was going to happen (the skellies around the basket were a bit of a tipoff ....) Note that there are a number of ways to screw this up if you are a dumb ass like me:
1) The whole thing will reset quite quickly if you fail to kill all three in a row tactics like trying to feign or vanish after killing 2 of 3 and being too low to take the third right away will not work
2) DO NOT touch that picnic basket again after you kill the 3 - they'll spawn right all over away even though three corpses are on the ground, one of whom has The Lunch. Ask me why I know that :-)
One thing about the reward: the items are not soulbound, they're Bind on Equip! Woo!

Even though its been posted, this is really the most common thing to be checking for, so I'll reiterate:

Location is 84,40.

On the Hinterlands map, there's two islands off the coast, its the Northern one.

Anyway, soloed this as a lvl 49 priest. Went Shadowform, put on a sheild, put Devouring Plague on one guy and fought another. He died, I looted, got the lunch, and ran (swam) away from the other guys. Trued using Psychic Scream, but lag wouldn't let me cast. I was still able to swim away faster than the two remaining guys and get out alive (barely.)

Great rewards. I wish this were repeatable so I could see what I get next. Wanted to AH both the greens, but one was so good I had to use it myself.

Since some wonder if the lunch drops from the first one, here is the answer to your question. I did the quest and looted after starting to kill the next mob, so i killed the 1st one, no loot... 2nd, lard's lunch.
So i asked my brother and his friend to do the same
my brother had it with the 1st one he killed and his friend got 2nd again, but i've heard it can also drop of the 3th one.

So the answer to your question: it can drop of the first one, te second one, or the last one you kill.

LOL, Soloed with 58 Rouge with Combat\Swords Talens
Used Blade Flurry+Slice and Dise killed all three of them left with half of Health bar.
Warning!
Do not open the Launch box again they will respawn again, but killed them again.
