The well is at 13,47. It's very easy. Just wait for guards to walk out of range then run in and plant the quest item.

The stake is instant drop so it's possible to just drop it by the well and run out of there.

Easy to avoid the few dwarven guards at the front of Aerie Peak. Get near the well and use the spear. The spear places instantly, and you also PvP flag automatically once you place it. This can be bad if you do this at a peak time. The flight point in Aerie Peak is where the Alliance usually come in to run Scholomance, so there's a chance of running into a good number of high level players.

Try to do this at off peak times. It's fairly easy to scout out any possible pursuers. On a PvP server... good luck. I've helped slaughter more than one group of Horde players trying to finish this one. Also note that one of the Wildhammer dwarves will yell an alarm once you place the spear, so throw stealth out the window once you use it.

I guess the guards were on a smoke break...stealthed in from the east, and right up the little hill [where the road starts] is the well. Mouse over it to get the 'message to the blah blah' note, and that's the one. I shifted to caster form, dropped the spear, and...nothing, just some yelling from a dwarf NPC. Hmmm...oh well, easy as pie. =D

A really easy and fast to do quest without any trouble! One lvl 65 guard may aggro but he walks up and down the hill so just make sure he's not there when you are.

This was easy. I mean...stupid easy. The well is pretty much where you enter the village, the guard wanders off, place the spear...leave. Thats it...its that easy

I rode down the road from Tarren Mill right up to within thirty yards of the well, dropped the pike and mounted up and road back to Tarren Mill.

No aggro from Guard or Player.

Good advice ez.&nbsp I went in from the east--through the Alliance graveyard.&nbsp I had to kill one level 55 guard (not elite).&nbsp Then I went and hid for 5 minutes while I waited to go non-PVP.&nbsp The guard hadn't respawned, so I ran in, clicked the flag when I got next to the well and was done.&nbsp You go PVP again when you plant the flag, but I just mounted and ran out.&nbsp Pretty easy.

Hmm not sure what you guys are doing, but I mounted up and ran right to the well and even stood around for a few seconds before placing the spear because I had to find it in my inventory.. I placed the banner and saw the yell, then waited to see if anyone would attack just for fun. I didn't agro a single gaurd or see any alliance.

With dismount on cast, this quest is even easier. I just threw the "message" on my hotbar, rode up to the well on my mount and hit the button. Auto dismount, item planted, kept right on going without getting hit once.

easy quest&nbsp for priest/mage/lock and any class that can shield itself all I did was sacrifice my VW and go in and plant, the well is very easy accessable, only needed to pass 2 guards, try to get in from the east, not the main entrance

I did this as a 47 Druid. I rode my mount in from the East (cemetary), straight to the well. Dismounted, clicked the flag in my backpack, then turned into a cheetah and ran out.
I had the one guard on me, but he couldn't get me all the way down HP wise.
Honestly, I didn't think it would work, and was prepared to die from the 55 guard's hits, but it didn't happen.
Good Luck!

I read this forum and was preparing for a deal, and the whole thing was anti climactic.
First I stealthed up and went right by the well, because there were no guards and I thought it couldn't be it...so I got closer to the main building and I saw a lvl ?....which is interesting as I am level 53, so it means this guard was a 63 or higher (btw, this is almost 1 week after 2.0 patch).
I decide to re-read the forum, because I was like "WTF!".
Anyhoo....got the coords, walked up to well, dropped the item, strolled away.&nbsp No aggro, no chase, nada.

OMG, this quest gives nothing special as reward, and at least on my server for some reason, the feathers have always sold for almost 1 gold a pop (likely to make the admiral hat). So why give up that much gold for a pair of crummy gloves? I say farm the things for the exp then take your feathers and sell them and buy yourself something nice. It's much more rewarding.

Wow, I been searching for that well so damn long. I tried all the buildings...

It's OUTSIDE :P Just as you arrive in Aerie peak, before the "keep" entrance :)

Watching the guards come and go made me look all the way around but there lol

I just died in a pvp battle while having the quest and doing something else, and I noticed that I was close enough to aerie peak to be in their graveyard, so I just spirit res'd and ran the 40 feet to the well (it's a really small well for anyone who hasn't been, towards the buildings, don't expect something huge) and clicked on the flag, a dwarf level 55 guard spawned and I just ran down the cliff and managed to get away, it's not that hard (keep in mind I had res sickness :D).

I ran to the very small well, up the first mountain side, the first building you see, there is a well in a path that goes in a circle...

I did this quest, placed the flag on the ground, and danced around the flag for about 30 seconds, and then i ran away and the guard started chasing me after i started running

Initially I thought it was up the path to the allianec flight path, but it turned out the well is in the opening in front of dwarf's inn.

So real easy. Walk up place the rod and run.

I went into the dwarf house nearby to wear off the pvp flag (pve server) and was lying on the bed when a NE hunter girl followed me in and attacked.

She died. :-p
