Darkmoon Beast Deck

Return the Beast Deck to the Darkmoon Faire when it comes to town.
Beasts Deck
Provided Item:
Beasts Deck

Description

Now that you have gathered all of the Beast cards together into a deck, a ninth card mysteriously appears with the same backing as the first eight. On this card is inscribed, "Return these cards to the Darkmoon Faire and be rewarded." You have heard that this faire alternately stops at Mulgore and Goldshire every few months, so you will have to wait until they are here next.

Paladins have roughly no +spi. So it's 81mp5 when it procs. that's 243 mana back which is about one flash of light and some change.

In theory it will proc once every 75ish seconds on average.

In all honesty this trinket is for healers with lot of spirit... and paladins and shamans aren't it.

Given the scalability of the buff on this trinket, it's nice for a healer even at lvl 70. You'll be surprised how quickly those 50 spellcasts (average) go by... This trinket is the reason why they didn't add a new healer trinket from Darkmoon at lvl 70 rewards.

The ace of Beasts goes for around 300g on the Kargath server, I am wondering if this trinket is even worth grinding for...

Does anyone have it?

Well, there are lots of comparisons to innervate. Yes, this trinket only has a 2% chance to proc, and innervate you can use whenever you like, right?

Not quite... It's on a 6 minute cooldown so for most boss fights you'll only end up using 1-2 innervates, if that many ) And this trinket could proc several more times than that. So both = yay.

I'm a 5/8 Tier 2, 3/8 Tier 1 Druid with ~300spirit and I'm so looking forward to getting this trinket. Sure, maybe it's not worth 1000g, maybe it's more ... unpredictable than Mindtap.. but with a Mindtap giving you steady regen, an innervate when things get desperate and this proccing to give you a nice bonus now and then it can only be complimentary.

My deck is complete so I'm just waiting for the faire to come into town :)

its sux for now, they r selling 80-100g in AH, so all 8 peaces for 640g, its just a trinket and not worth for that much money..

Bought 5 of the numbered cards off the AH for a grand total of 28 gold after having the Ace drop in UBRS tonight. Already had two others in the bank. Pretty cheap for an awesome epic trinket. ^_^

I'd like to ask you if it is possible to equip 2 different darkmoon cards for example:

Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon
AND
Darkmoon Card: Twisting Nether

I know they're unique but thats for the exact same card isnt it?

Well, Hunters/priest/paladins/warriors/warlock all those have a epic quest...

Hunters = a epic bow/staff
Priest = Epic Staff
Paladin = epic sword and MOUNT!
Warrior = epic sword
Warlock = epic MOUNT!

Now this trinket suck big time for a epic. its like Lion horn but alittle better... 2% is nothing! its like Mark of the Chosen... Sure its nice if the % goes off but i would much rather have Eye of the Beast and Royal Seal. General all % for some effect goes off is bad not worth it imo...
Really 2% chance on a successful spell... how can you say that is good? half the time you cast a spell its useless because the player you are casting it on is allrdy dead or its interrupt by a rogue, a counter spell etc...

Had the whole deck except the Ace and it droped from the Beast and the guys passed to me :D
Got this deck for about 80g and I me as a shaman, love it!
This + mana totems really helps me with shaman oom problems, I have solo healed scholo parties (th only ones I was trusted to solo heal :P ) with ease with this baby!
But it still procs with non-combat, while I was making pots it proced a couple of times, and i dunno if it is suposed to, but procs from totems and LShield and weap buffs.

You guys do realize that when you say this sucks that you're saying that Innervate sucks, too, right?

Everyone says that druids are only good for Innervate late-game, and this is half of what Innervate does. 400% out of casting and 100% in casting regen. Sure, this one is for 15 seconds when Innervate is for 20 - big deal.

This trinket is amazing for ANY caster. Priests, Druids, and Mages, though, especially. If you think this trinket isn't worth the effort/time/money, then you should NEVER ask for Innervate in an instance again, or ask your friendly, neighborhood Druid to not cast it on you since it won't make a dent in your enormous mana pool. :/

I do not know this for a fact, but I'm pretty sure the 100% regen, is 100% of your COMBAT regen. Which of course is limited. And this is nothing like innervate at all.. Innervate is 400% mana regen AND 100% while casting.. This trinket is missing the 400%..

Nevertheless, It's a pretty good trinket for a healer.. Say, healing in MC, you are close to spam your healings, that's alot of healings, and it makes 2% quite okay.. Would not say to this one.

I have that Cap of Scarlet Savant - it looks crap and the stats are only slightly better than the Crown of the Ogre King which every man and his dog has.

Where is our epic quest anyway? Hunters and Priests have epic weapons they can get in MC, what about mages?

The mage version of Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas also sucks ass (compared to other trinkets and the priest/warlock version)

Come on Blizzard - do none of your developers play mages or something?

I think some of you miss out on a few details on this item:

It also procs while using a wand. Not that using a wand is something that you see frequently, but anyways, the wand usage also including a speed up to your mana regeneration? I think it is worth considering - especially in Boss fights.

Edit: Try it out with (Item #19435) and I guess the results should be decent ^^.

Well, here we are one day after patch 2.0, and I have my deck, rushing furiously to 55 so I can hand it in before the faire leaves again, (DO NOT want to wait till January ) ) anyway, I happened to look at it, and it just said "this item begins a quest" no lvl requirement, so I clicked and lo and behold, it let me have the quest at lvl 51! Dunno if this is new since 2.0 or what, but just thought I'd say something for anyone else with all the cards that isn't 55 yet :) Chears!

So worth the trouble

Copy and pasted directly from patch notes.
- Blue Dragon Card - This trinket will no longer proc from non-combat abilities.
What does this mean to you? As a healer, this will not activate if you are healing or buffing anyone, like it used to pre 1.9 patch. As a dmg caster, it's still the same as it used to be except it still won't proc from buffs or non-combat spells.

As a priest who was looking forward to the increased drop rate of the Ace of Beasts (92 UBRS runs, 0 drops... and counting) this will make me sell the rest of my cards. There are now no good Darkmoon Faire trinkets designed for a healer class.

This piece is nice if you've already got a chance to continue mana regeneration. Elemental shamans can make pretty good use of it if they have a high level of spirit for sure.

Any rumors of this getting buffed or modified? It seems weirdly unpowerful for an epic (yes, I read all the replies). I see it being good for a priest who might be casting a ton of small mana spells, but as a mage (even with a decent mana pool) it seems not nearly as useful. And when you consider that in 1.11 that mages will be able to get 10% constant regen during combat with just two talent points...that's a heck of a lot better then this, which is essentially 2% during combat overall. I'd really like to see this item change a little.
