Description

Now that you have gathered all of the Elemental cards together into a deck, a ninth card mysteriously appears with the same backing as the first eight. On this card is inscribed, "Return these cards to the Darkmoon Faire and be rewarded." You have heard that this faire alternately stops at Mulgore and Goldshire every few months, so you will have to wait until they are here next.

From what friends on test realms have told me:

Proc rate is 2% but seems much higher. Possibly 4%-10%. Much like Mark of the Chosen it procs way more than 2%, except with a rogue's dps it's sure to proc atleast 2-3 times a battle.

Just bought this for my Warrior. Gave up my Epic mount savings for it and paid 1200 G. After having it for a week, WORTH EVERY PENNY. My metered DPS has gone up about 25% since.

When my Rogue gets to lvl 60, I will be acquiring the cards/buying another elementals deck. Probably be even more of an impact on him.

I guess I like my Server then... I am starting to get these together, I am not sure but I think the rarest ones are Ace and eight... not sure though. Anyways, I have 4 of them now, Ace was 30g, Two was 2.5g, 4 was 1.5g and an 8 dropped for me a while back... lets see if I can do an all time record of getting this deck for cheap. (Excluding free, and the Ace, have to include the price of the ace.)

***EDIT*** Currently I have gotten 3,5,6 recently, 3 = 3g. 5 = 5g. 6 = 8g Now for the last one... 7. But currently I have spent 50g on this set excluding the 7... lucky me :D

***EDIT*** Finally, the last card for 7g, I have gathered (Bought) the ace-7 for only 57g, GLORIOUS!

GL to everyone else on gathering this... I am very sorry for the warrior whom spent 1200g...

is the procrate on this fixed , or does it adjust to weaponspeed?

some of the procs ingame (poisons stormshroud etc)
have a procrate that doesnt change with faster attacks , some procs occur "more often" on slow weapons, to adjust for the slower speed, which is this?

All procs in WOW (except those with fixed percentages like rogue poison) have a fixed 'Proc Per Minute' on which percentage is calculated according to weapon speed. So, slower weapon will have higher percentage than slower.

Percentage is based on autoattack speed, so instant attacks can improve number of procs per minute.

I would like to apply a minor correction to the above posts. The proc rate of 5% is wrong (probably due to the low amount of hits). If you test the item for 10.000+ hits, you will find out that it's proc rate actually is: 6%.

This may not seem major, but the difference in between 5 and 6% in this case counts for 250 lightning damage in average, so over 100 hits you deal additional 1500 rather than "only" 1250 damage.

I just finished pickin up the last card today. im gunna turn it in 2morrow when the faire opens in mulgore. The maelstrom card looks like a great choice for me since i am a DW Fury Warrior. Got the whole Ace through 8 set for mayb 30g. most o the cards sold at 2-3g ea. the only 1 that wasnt was the Ace which sold for 18g on the Icecrown server.

I've been debating on whether or not to put together a deck... then last night a 2 of portals dropped off some level 63 in Outland I just announced to the guild and that was that. No biggie.

Got up this morning and decided to look at the decks.....theres 4 right? Decided I liked The Elementals Deck with the Maelstrom card as the reward from the fair and found it on AH for 65 Gold. I'm guessing from what I've read thus far that this deck is ideal for a Dual wield Fury warrior.

Was it worth it?
And when is the fair (or however they spell it) back in town?

I picked up the ace cheap at the AH, then over a week built the whole deck for a little under 100g

I meant to post this with the other posts about the deck item, not the quest. Not sure how it ended up here...

My advice is take your time building this deck (or any deck), sometimes I would see a 5-8 of Elementals for like 15g and be tempted to buy it, but I was patient and usually a few days later I saw one for a more reasonable price. If you just cant wait, buy out everything in sight, but you can save money by shopping around (go figure :)).

I wanted the beasts deck, but the price on the Ace was very good so I built the set around the cheap Ace. I'll likely sell this, but I'm debating keeping it.

what one should i choose?

at the moment i am thinking of changing to a full combat build so id hit hard and fast with lots of attack power.. 300 will be like a normal hit.. should i bother to get this or just get warlords so i can solo without re healing as much...0
