Your Fortune Awaits You...

Travel to the Deadmines in Westfall and seek out your fortune.
Sayge's Fortune #24
Provided Item:
Sayge's Fortune #24

Description

"Your fortune awaits you inside the Deadmines."

The fortune Sayge handed you feels slightly warm to the touch. Grasping it firmly, you see an image of the Deadmines inside Westfall's ruined hamlet of Moonbrook. Focusing closer in on the image, you wind about twisty passages until you reach a shimmering portal... one that leads into the heart of the mines itself. Stepping through it, a strange chest appears out from nowhere.

Hello all. While doing this quest I took some screen shots to aid you fellow adventurers having trouble with this quest.
This first screen shot just shows a simple view of how the chest looks inside the deadmines.
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e142/snailaim/deadmineschest.jpg
This next one shows me looting it (The name of the chest) and how it looks as well.
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e142/snailaim/deadmineschest1.jpg
This last one shows what happens after you loot it, plus it shows you just how close it is to the portal to enter the instance.

Good luck with this quest.

keep your dumb piece of paper. i snuck through westfall (i'm horde) and made it into the instance. the chest appeared after about 1 minute (didnt even have to go to the first mob). I click the chest and a window opens, but it looks like i have to have my paper item with me, even though i have the quest in my quest log. So this has been a bogus trip for me.

KEEP YOUR FORTUNE ITEM.

Proceed through the portal in the deadmines, past the first cart and walk down the hill a little bit, but not past where the first miner on the right is.&nbsp That's too far.&nbsp I think it is triggered by you passing a set location.&nbsp Turn around and look back and there is your chest.&nbsp But you need your fortune on you.

It is possible.&nbsp I have a siamese cat to prove it. me and 3 friends went through it and the only time we died was on the road to the instance. Darn Alli Rogues.&nbsp Otherwise, no trouble. Still have yet to get the fortune to send me there though...

Received a Mysterious Box or something, which contained:

2x Wild Hog Shank
1x Fine Aged Cheddar
4x Kingsblood
1x Traveler's Backpack

I'm a Hordie, and I got this quest in Mulgore, so it was quite a trek. The Traveler's Backpack made it worthwhile.

Sayge is only found at the Darkmoon Faire. It opens on the Monday following the first Friday of every month. The fair alternates between Elwynn Forrest and Mulgore each month.

Fortunes are all randomly given and do not in any way correspond to the questions being asked by Sayge.

The buffs you get DO have a direct relationship to the answers you give to the questions. That is, if you always answer the same way, you will always get the same buff.

when you enter the instance (the blue portal), look on the left wall and you'll see a pillar, go down to the second pillar.... there will be a giant pipe between the two so its around the first corner. you might pull one guy but you should be able to handle him with no problem. you'll know your at the second one when you see a shovel and pick axe at the bottom of it on your left. And it should just pope up afther a few secs.

After looting the pretty goldenish chest that appeared about 3 minutes after I entered the instance and walked a few yards away from the portal down the tunnel, I opened it and received a mysterious box with the following inside:

3 Healing Potions
Stormwind Brie
2 Cured Ham Steak
2 Goldthorn

At 54th level, I also got 650 xp and 50 reputation with the Darkmoon Faire.

I clicked on the first choice each time and it gave me a +10% damage buff and this quest as my fortune. The fortune is probably random since I've gotten the same one from different choices.

The quest is red difficulty to me - 39 Undead mage - but that might be because it's in Alliance territory.

So far Ive tried letting the thief go & letting the poor knight take credit & nothing from that.

The other path I did was letting thief go & Take credit for kill then give money to knight & that didnt work either, will post when I get it right.

I got this quest, accepted it, and ran through the entire Deadmines I killed all the bosses I could find, and got so many items I had to throw a lot of them away... I also opened every chest That I saw. But I didn't find the chest they were talking about and when I left, the quest was still incomplete.

Any ideas?
