Your Fortune Awaits You...

Travel to Palemane Rock in Mulgore and seek out your fortune.
Sayge's Fortune #27
Provided Item:
Sayge's Fortune #27

Description

"Your fortune awaits you outside Palemane Rock."

The fortune Sayge handed you feels slightly warm to the touch. Grasping it firmly, you see an image of the Palemane Rock of Mulgore. Focusing closer in on the image, you see a tree stump that sits close to the cave entrance.

34.63 are the coords and i got a green drop for a lvl 50, sells for 3g and im lvl 60.&nbsp i think it was definintly worth it, its only a small travel if you got ur epic )

and for PVP'ers, just go south and circle the lake, you cant get caught if ur on a mount, have fun

This quest gave me 50 reputation with the Darkmoon Faire faction, after I stopped getting faction from regular turn ins. So this (including the elwynn forest version) and handing in full decks of darkmoon cards are the only way to gain faction past that point.

I still dont get it...is the cave in mulgore or in the barrens?

Ok I just finished that at lvl 50, and for most of those quests (sayge's fortune) its preferable to keep em till 60-70, cause drops differ from lvls...

I got 2 Superior Healing, 1 bold of silk cloth, 1 mulgore bread (mhen) and a cloth helm +24 fire dmg...

If you have sayge's fortune quests not openened yet... dont do it till 60++ for better drops.

enjoy!

I did this quest the first time the DArkmoon faire came around.

I was a Level 30ish (at the time) Dwarf Paladin. and it tells me to go to MULGORE ? and I'm on a PvP server.

Oh dear.

But got there in the end, not too hard, and guess what...the reward was crap :(

I did get some rep with Darkmoon Faire at least, 200 iirc.

I found the "mysterious tree stump" outside Palemane ROCK cave (as listed on map), western edge of Mulgore (west of Bloodhoof Village). It will be right clickable. Give you a mysterious lock box. Had leather int bracers, some food and 2 silk. :)

Location is 34, 61. When you pass over the stump with your mouse, it's identified as 'mysterious tree stump.'

Ok, I have never once written a comment before in thottbot. But this time I felt inclined to.

This quest is brutal. I got it at lev 30. Ran all the way to western mulgore on a pvp server (although I didn't see a single horde in barrens or mulgore, ironically), and turned it in for a whooping 650xp, 2 crappy greens, and some food. Essentially like finding a chest.

Though it's not hard to complete, on a pvp server you never know, and it's some serious time running. If you're 40 or above, maybe. I would recommend that people who get this abandon it. Not worth the effort.

I've started a priest who is now at level 10 and just received this quest. From the post above I'm wondering if it's worth the trouble. Questlevel ranks it as a level 60 quest but it must be wrong. I'll try it at a much lower level than the two above and tell you if it produces higher xp.

Maybe the greens will be of more value to a lower level.

I got this just expecting the nice 2hr buff and I figured the quest is listed orange at 57 so I've got to get some kinda xp out of this.&nbsp Inside the chest was a travelers backpack along with some foodstuffs... Id say well worth it for a 2min trip

Anybody over level 5 can probably do this quest as the Palemane critters guarding the stump are about level 6.

From the mysterious box I retrieved from the mysterious trunk I received - Pattern: Guardian Cloak and Liferoot x 3 Lesser Mana Potion x 3 Fine Aged Cheddar x 1 Raw Black Truffle x 2. Very nice for a quest that is just fun and flavor.

Hoping I can do it again.

Just did this quest, And got some decent tresure for my level (28). The Stump is near the pale-mane cave and is pretty easy to find.

Pure crap is the reward. I picked this up at lvl 60. Gave me 75 rep with darkmoon and 5 silver. I opened the box, i got some food, some water, a few ores, and an herb. All together worth about 10 silver. I do not suggest doing this quest.

Just completed this quest at level 56

650 XP
Iron Ore X 3
Moon Harvest Pumpkin X 2
Mana Potion X 2 (455-585 Restore)
Sweet Nectar x 1

Not bad but not really worth the whole ride. Cool quest idea though.

The game actually made a typo... it's outside of PaleMANE cave in the barrens along the west edge of it... the quest solution is the treestump right outside of the cave... very easily done at level 42 :)
